ANNUAL MAINTENANCE CONTRCT FOR 08 PASSENGER LIFT AT SHIBPUR UNDER GE (S) DIGLIPUR

Notes for Serial Item No. 1: [a] MANPOWER TO BE EMPLOYED: The contractor shall be required to employ minimum 01 Nos. of lift mechanic and 01 Nos. of Helper with sound knowledge and adequate experience. All the manpower employed shall report to Office of AGE [E/M]/ Complaint Cell once in 15 days for efficient functioning of Lifts Round the Clock checking of serviceability of lifts and all safety features alongwith the lift operators and submission of monthly progress of maintenance/ repairs/ checking and updating the details in the Registers. [b] The rate quoted is deemed to be inclusive of supply and fixing of all Spares (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronic) such as Push buttons, Door rollers, guide shoes, Brake coils, limit switches, door couplers, alarms, Position indicating lights, Auxilary contactors, LED lights, Relays, cabin fans, control transformers, control fuses, etc. including consumables such as librication oil, grease, etc. Buffing of walls/ ceilings of lift car (except Spares catered vide Serial Item No. 2 to 6 of BoQ) as and when required for trouble free and smooth and efficient functioning of lifts including overhauling as and when required to all mechanical parts of lifts, Rewinding of Electric Motors, repair/maintenance of Gear Unit, repair / maintenance of Door Drive, Controllers, Pulleys, Limit Switches, Relays etc. complete all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

[c] All the safety measures including ARDs shall be ensured for serviceable condition round the clock and cost of their spares, etc. shall deemed to be included in the rate quoted. Nothing extra shall be paid extra on these accounts. [d] Spares catered vide Serial Item No. 2 to 6 of BoQ shall be measured and paid separately as "Supply Only" whenever required and rate quoted for Serial Item No. 1 of BoQ shall be excluding the same. However, fixing / repairs shall be deemed to be included in the rate quoted. [e] The rate quoted shall be deemed to be inclusive of testing of each lift by Licensed Lift Inspector of Government of Andaman Nicobar Island for the worthiness certificate TWICE during the contract period for the safety of lift. Certificate issued by the Licensed Lift Inspector shall be submitted to the Engineer-in-Charge and a copy of Certificate shall be displayed in all Lift Cabins as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. [f] Emergency Light and necessary tools shall be available in a tool box in the shift for smooth functioning of lifts. [g] Conveyance and communication system like mobile phone etc. shall be provided by the contractor to all Lift Mechanics and Helpers. [h] The contractor shall abide by the latest Labour Rules and Minimum Wages Act. [i] Wages paid by the contractor to the persons employed shall not be less than the minimum wages fixed by State / Central Government from time to time whichever is higher. The contractor shall also insure the workmen employed on the job. [j] The contractor is responsible for Insurance, EPF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, Labour Welfare Cess etc., as applicable and shall be paid to the Workmen as per existing Labour Rules / Acts / Regulations and rate quoted shall be deemed to be included for the same.

[k] INSURANCE AND DRESS CODE: The contractor shall provide the workmen with Dark Blue Colour Uniform [Formal Pant & T-Shirt] with labels showing / printed i.e. "Name of the Firm and Designation" on Front and "GE [U - I] [V]" on the back of the T-Shirt along with protective clothing / gear. The contractor shall also provide shoes to the workers and the persons shall not be allowed to enter the work site without wearing shoes. [l] The contractor shall be responsible for all Accidents / Injuries happening to the workmen. Any accident causing Minor / Fatal Injury, Partial Disability due to any untoward incident or non-adherence to Safety and IE Regulations or fault in maintaining of Lifts System / Safety Mechanism or on account of any mishandling / wrong operation / lack of knowledge of safety precautions or on account of any circumstances beyond his/their control, the contractor shall be solely responsible for settling all claims of compensation to the deceased, failing which department will have a right to recover any sum indicated / claimed by Labour Commissioner / Court authorities. No claim whatsoever will be entertained in this regard. No compensation is payable by the department on this account. Contractor shall provide first aid boxes to meet any emergency situations. [m] The contractor shall carryout the comprehensive maintenance of the lifts catered under subject work through the Original Equipment Manufacturer of that lift or from their accredited / authorised agencies only. The lowest bidder shall submit MoU from the Original Equipment Manufacturer of the Lift or from their accredited / authorised agencies to provide technical support, trained persons for maintenance & testing and spares before commencement of the work to GE. The spares shall be of the make as per existing or as per the OEM.

Supply only logic board ARD - 25 Pin 01 KVA for the lift as mentioned at Item No.01 above complete all as specified and as directed. Make : Johnson / as per recommendation of lift manufacturer.

Supply only gear oil of 360 degree grade for lift complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only bearing oil 360 degree grade for lift complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply only POD latch LH / hook assembly complete all as specified and as directed. Make : Johnson / as per recommendation of lift manufacturer.

Supply only power board for (C) UPS complete all as specified and as directed. Make : Johnson / as per recommendation of lift manufacturer.
