SPECIAL REPAIRS FOR REPLACEMENT OF 400 KVA DG SET AT AF STATION CARNICOBAR

Supply, install, testing and commissioning of Silent type diesel engine generating set alongwith having Prime Power Rating of capacity 400 KVA, 415 Volts, 1500 RPM, 0.8 lagging power factor with accoustic enclosure as per CPCB norms IV +, 3 phase 4 wire, 50 Hz, AC power supply coupled to alternator mounted on common base plate complete with AMF panel fuel tank, battery and standard accessories and fittings, vibration pads, necessary spares as per manufacturer's instructions suitable for ambient condition at coastal area and conforming to condition under latest edition of relevant IS & BS comprising of the following and all as specified and directed:-

Diesel Engine: Diesel Engine 4 stroke water cooled electric start of suitable BHP at 1500 RPM suitable for above output of alternator at 400C, 50% RH and at 1000 Meter MSL and confirming to BS 5514, BS 649, IS 10000 capable of taking 10 % over loading for one hour after 12 hours of continous operation.The engine shall be fitted complete with all the required accessories.

Engine mounted instrument panel fitted with and having digital display for the following: (i) Start-stop switch with key (ii) Water temperature indication (iii) Lubrication oil pressure indication (iv) Lubrication oil temperature indication (v) Battery charging Indication (vi) RPM Indication (vii) Overspeed indication (viii) Low lub oil trip indication (ix) Engine hours Indication

ENGINE PROTECTION: Battery voltage monitoring, protection, overspeed shutdown, low oil pressure warning and shut down, low coolant temperature warning, fail to start, cranking lockout, sensor failure indication, low fuel warning or shut down.

ALTERNATOR: Synchronous alternator rated at 400KVA, 415 volts at 1500 RPM, 3 phase 50 Hz, AC supply with 0.8 lagging power factor at 400C, 50% RH & at 1000 Meter MSL. The alternator shall be having SPDP enclosure, brushless, continuous duty, self-excited and self-regulated through AVR conforming to IS: 4722/BS 2613 suitable for tropical conditions and with class - H insulation and voltage regulation + 1%, voltage variation + 5%,overload duration 10% for one hour in every 12 hours of continuous operation, provision of suitable space heaters to maintain the winding temperature automatically.

Base frame and foundation: Both the engine and alternator shall be mounted on suitable base frame made of MS channel with necessary reinforcement which shall be installed on suitable cement concrete foundation and vibration isolation arrangement as per recommendations of manufacurer.

Fuel Tank: Daily service fuel tank of capacity 12 hrs continous running and fabricated out of 3 mm thick MS sheet complete with all standard accessories and fuel piping between fuel tank and diesel engine with MS class 'C' pipes of suitable dia complete with valves, level indications & accessories as required as per specifications.

Starting System: 12V/24V DC starting system comprising of starter motors, voltage regulator and arrangement for initial excitation complete with suitable numbers of batteries (25 plates, 180 Amp Hour capacity lead acid type) as required as per specifications.

Accoustic Enclosure: Accoustic and weather proof enclosure with arrangement for fresh air intake for cooling of the engine & alternator, extraction, discharging hot air in to the atmosphaere as per specifications.

Exhaust System: Supplying and fixing exhaust gas piping of required length and suitable dia. Welded black MS 'B' Class pipe conforming to IS:3589 cut to required lengths and installed with necessary bends, supports and clamps, anti-vibration mountings, insulation of exhaust system with mineral wool /Rockwool, 50 mm thick wiremesh & aluminum cladding etc., as specified and required as per site condition.

Operator panel features: Display the utility data/ AC bus data having 320 x 240 pixels graphic LED back light LCD with bar graph for displaying electrical parameters, auto manual start stop, fault reset and lamp test/ panel lamp switches, alpha numeric display with push buttons, LED Lamps including genset running remote start, not in auto, common shutdown, common warning, manual run mode, auto mode and stop.

Control functions: Paralleling control functions Digital frequency synchronization and voltage matching, Isochronous KW and KVAR, load sharing controls, drop KW and KVAR, Sync check, extended paralleling, Digital power transfer control (AMF) provide load transfer, operation in open or closed transition or soft (ramping) transfer mode:- (a) Alternator data - Line to neutral and line to line AC volts , three phase AC current, Frequency, KW, KVAR, power factor KVA (3 phase and total) (b) Engine data DC voltage, Engine speed, lub oil pressure, coolant temperature/ low level, (c) Other data Genset model, Start attempts, starts, running hours, KW hours, Load profile, Fault history, data logging and fault simulation (d) Digital governing - Integrated digital electronic isochronous governor, temperature dynamic governing (e) Digital voltage regulation - Integrated digital electronic voltage regulator, three phase four wire line to line sensing, configurable torque matching (m) AC protection - Over current and short circuit shutdown, Over current warning, single/three phase fault regulation, Over and under voltage shutdown, Over and under frequency Shutdown, Overload warning with alarm, Reverse power shutdown, Field over load

Notes: Unit rate quoted by the tenderer shall deemed to be inclusive for the following:- (i) Providing the artificial heat / water load, fuel, oil etc for testing the DG set at site. (ii) All civil works for making good the disturbed surface during installation. (iii) The DG Set should comply with all the latest CPCB-IV + Norms. (iv) 04 numbers of GI strip earthing complete with 32x6 mm GI strip. (v) Contractor shall ensure that this 400 KVA DG set is synchronized with other existing DG sets in the CAPTIVE POWER HOUSE and ensure that it works perfectly. The quoted rate is deemed to include for this provision also and nothing extra is payable on a later date on this account. (vi) Taking down old DG set of any capacity from captive power house and unload & handover the same to MES store yard as directed by Engineer In Charge. (vii) The capacity of DG set shall be net after all derating factors as per relevant IS design.
