SPECIAL REPAIRS TO LIGHTNING CONDUCTORS, EARTHING AT VARIOUS ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION AND OTM BUILDINGS AND OTHER ALLIED CONNECTED WORKS AT INS MANDOVI UNDER GE (P) NAVY MANDOVI

M & L for taking out old unserviceable existing earthing any type and providing chemical earthing with copper earth plate 90cm x 60cm x 5 mm thick and copper earth strip 32 x 6 mm upto 7.5 RM complete all as specified and directedd. Note:- On testing after completion if the desired earth resistance (< 5.0 Ohm) is not obtained, the earthing shall be redone at no extra cost.

M & L for taking out old unserviceable earting and providing earthing complete with galvanised steel earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 6 mm thick burried directly on ground earth pit n. less than 2.25 m deep below the ground bend with top edge of the plate n. less than 1.5m below ground level connected to GI strip of size 32 x 6 mm as earth lead by means of bolts, nuts, checks nuts and washers of galvanised steel including necessary earth work and excavation in any strata and PCC 1:3:6 type C2 chamber and chamber cover and light grade GI pipe 40 mm dia for protection of earth strip and GI wire etc complete all as per electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part-I including connecting with earth testing point and testing on completion; complete all as specified and directed. Notes:- 1. GI earth strip 32 x 6mm beyond 7.5 RM shall be measured and paid seperately under relevant item of this schedule. 2. On testing after completion if the desired earth resistance is not obtained, the earthing shall be redone at no extra cost.

S & F in repairs air termination, single pointed, copper rod 12mm dia and 300mm long mounted on GI pipe 40mm dia light grade embedded in mass PCC complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for taking out old unserviceable earth conductor providing earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/ pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required, 25 X 3 mm Aluminium strip alongwith Elapp DMC/ Epoxy electrical Insulator (red) complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for taking out old unserviceable earth conductor providing earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required copper strip of 20mm x 3 mm alongwith Elapp DMC/ Epoxy electrical Insulator (red) complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing earth continuity conductor or main earthing lead fixed to wall on batten or recess or chases or buried in ground or drawn in conduit/pipe or fixed to poles or any other indicated situation for loop earthing etc. as required galvanised iron strip of 32mm x 6 mm alongwith Elapp DMC/ Epoxy electrical Insulator (red) complete all as specified and directed.

S& F in repairs test point terminal block made of gun metal or phosphorus bronze/ copper, of size 75 x 75 x 25 mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8 mm dia 25 mm long hex head screw to be housed in a closed PC/ metallic box 150 x 150 x 3 mm with opening arrangement for testig purposes, proper holes n up/ down side complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repairs steel tubing of 40 mm dia bore, medium grade, galvanised with all fittings, laid in trenches or fixed to walls or poles for mechanical protection of earth strip etc complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing PCC 1:2:4, type B1, using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in bed block, coping cells etc. or pipe of lightning arrester complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repairs solar LED aviation light for fixing on top of OHT of 18 mtr height having following specification complete all as specified and directed:- (a) Aviation Light - LED Type (RED) (b) No. of LED- 12Nos.
