A-Cutting of rails , dismantling of existing rail panels (Item rate is
Dismantling and removing the existing 52 kg rail panel upto a length of 260 mtr. with fittings and fastening and keeping away from the site of work without causing any infringement to the railway track as directed by engineer-in-Charge or his representative and laying newly prepared rail panel, interchanging rails east to west as needed including removing the elastic rail clips, inserts and 2 liner seat on rail, liners, rubber pads and refixing elastic rail clips etc. including aligning, levelling and correcting the gauge in traffic block conditions, to keep rail panel at nominated location after dismantling with all lead and lift etc. complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge (All labours and tools to be supplied by the tenderer/contractor only at his own cost) including greasing of pandrol clips inside portion of inserts and proper seating of MS/SF liners, GR pads on the rail. Removing of kinks/defective welds/ if any within one metre from the end of rail,providing correct gap for SKV thermit welding duly adjusting the rails and carrying out alumino thermit welding by SKV process in mid section/at isolated locations in midsection,in traffic block conditions as per IRS specification T-19/2012 with latest amendment including grinding and filling the finished weld to carry rail traffic under restricted speed with contractor's materials, equipments, petrol, grinding stones including painting with two coats of anti corrosive paint to RDSO specification no. 1 M&C/RCN-111/88 duly scrapping for a length of 10 cm on either side of weld etc. complete with contractor's materials etc. and all lead and lift and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. KRCL will provide only prefabricated moulds, luting sand,clay along with SKV welding portions free of cost at regional stores depot. Note : (i) The contractor has to transport welding portions etc. from stores depot to the required locations and stack the same on his own in good condition and no payment shall be made for this and the rates are inclusive of this. (ii) Portions (52 kg 90 UTS) handed over by KRCL to the contractor shall be kept in good condition and if any damage/unfit condition of portion while welding is noticed as directed by KRCL, that portion will be rejected and its cost as decided by KRCL shall be recovered from the contractor.
