8345 MAINTENANCE OF WATER SUPPLY INSTALLATIONS AND REPAIR /REPLACEMENT OF WATER SUPPLY PIPELINE AND ITS CONNECTED ITEMS AT KBN AND RS(P) UNDER GE TIRUNELVELI

Excavation in trenches for laying of GI water tubing etc., getting out in soft/loose soil n.exc 1.5m wide and n.exc 1.5m depth complete all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in trenches including spreading, leveling, watering and in layers n.exc 25cms thick without damaging pipes/special fittings as in any type of soil complete all as specified and directed.

Removing excavated materials to a distance n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down the defective centrifugal pump and motor of any make 415 volt 3 phase by dismantling the electrical connections, removing the motor from bed by decoupling the pump, transporting to workshop, dismantling it completely, removing the burnt out winding, rewinding the same with super enameled copper wire, returning back to site ,transporting the pump for necessary insulating material, varnishing, backing and re-assembling the motor completely with all connections complete all as specified and directed for following capacity. Note : (i) Burnt out removed winding wire shall be property of contractor through schedule of credit.

Servicing/overhauling of centrifugal pump set by dismantling completely and replacing unserviceable ball bearing, shaft sleeve, gland neck ring , gland rope, nut and bolts etc. assembling back the complete pump and fixing alignment to the original position and coupling with pump and necessary alignment etc with two coats of enameled paint including scraping complete and writing MES/SM, testing and commissioning complete all as specified and directed Note: (i) Spares shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items. (ii) Painting and writing the MES number with existing size deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (a) Maintenance schedule :- (i) Checking for looseness of all the foundation and coupling nuts/bolts and rectification. (ii) Checking for proper functioning of all the voltmeter, Ammeter, starter, contactor etc and rectification. (iii) Checking for proper functioning of suction and discharge pressure gauges and rectification. (iv) Checking of leakage in gland packing, shifting base, bushes sluice valves, gate valves etc and rectification. (v) Checking for any undue noise of motor pump and rectification. (b) Maintenance schedule :- (i) Checking for proper alignment and rectification. (ii) Checking for proper lubrication in bearing and lubricating. (iii) Checking all electrical panel using for pumping for cleanliness and rectification for any looseness burnt redressing etc.

Material and labour for taking up submersible pump set 16/17.5 HP from shallow well, 3-phase 415v,50Hz, AC, opening the motor, cutting and removing the burnt windings, cleaning the starter and rotor with cleaning agent, rewinding the motor with appropriate gauge of super enameled copper wire of approved make insulating the winding with same class of insulation and repair to pump including shaft and impellers complete all as specified and directed .

Supply only for the following items conforming to IS specification and suitable for drinking water purpose complete all specified and as directed.

Painting to water supply pipe line of 150mm bore from sump to pump and on OH tank by preparation of surface by scraping, dust cleaning with brush and applying two coat of synthetic enamel paint of standard colour and marking the arrow showing direction of water flow complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and laying in trenches steel water tubing galvanised medium grade and connection including fitting like Tee, Bend, Socket, Elbow, Short pieces connectors, plugs, and unions etc, cutting threading including taking down old unserviceable GI pipes of the following sizes all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for cast iron pipe spigot and socketed pipes centrifugally cast class LA in any length laid in trenches including taking down old unserviceable CI pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

Repair/Replacement of PVC pipe line, checking and arresting of leakage including excavation at both ends, testing of leakage after rectifying complete of the following size of pipe as specified and directed. Material and labour for construction of PCC block masonry valve pit complete with PCC 1:3:6 type C1 PCC solid block walling 20cm thick set in CM (1:4) over 100 mm thick PCC 1:4:8 type D2 foundation, 50 mm thick PCC 1:2:4 type B1 coping on the top of wall, rendering 15 mm thick with CM 1:4 on inside and exposed external surfaces up to 150mm below GL, 3 mm thick MS sheet cover, angle iron frame and locking arrangement etc., including dismantling old existing damaged valve pit complete of following sizes all as specified and directed:-

Supply and fixing in repairs DOL starter 3 phase suitable for 5 HP motor complete all specified and as directed.

Material and labour for spray Painting of motor/ pump, with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer including scraping and preparation of surface and writing MES/SM No complete all as specified and directed for the following pump capacities:-

Material and labour for disconnecting /removing the old unserviceable starter parts from the panel and supply and fixing faulty contactor with relay for fully automatic star delta starters for AC 415V, 50Hz, 3-phase suitable for 15 to 25HP capacity electric motor complete all as specified and directed .

Material and labour for CI Specials of any dia including taking down of unserviceable / damaged specials as required at site all as specified and directed.

Taking down old unserviceable sluice valves and supply and fix new Sluice valve CI body double flanged and drilled conforming to IS-780 of 1980 PN-1.6 including rubber gasket 3 mm thick, stainless steel spindle, iron wheel head and suitable size of nuts bolts and washers complete all as specified for the following sizes.

Repairs to CI sluice valves by taking down worn out unserviceable gland sleeve, check nut spindle, gate etc., and cleaning the valve by removing all scales and reassembling the valve with new packing, nut and bolts complete all as specified and directed for the following diameter:-

a) 200mm dia.

b) 150mm dia.

c) 100mm dia.

d) 80mm dia.

Material and labour for purichloro (65 - 70%) calcium based granular disinfectant for water treatment in 45 kg Drum more stable than chlorine gas and stronger than bleaching powder and sodium hypochlorite complete all specified and as directed.

Material and labour to attend breakdown complaints like no water supply in service tank, pipe line leakages etc and also removing air lock in married / OTM accommodation with help of required tools and GI fittings of any size/dia like union, elbow, tee, bend, nipple, socket etc including excavation if required for rectification of leakage of GI pipe all as specified and directed. (i) Rate of item union, elbow, nipple bend socket shall be included in the unit quoted rate.

Material and labour for monthly Bacteriological water testing including both supply and receiving end. Sample shall be collected by contractor and testing be done at authorized/ Govt laboratory and report to be submitted monthly to the Engr-in-charge in triplicate copy complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and Fix PVC Insulated 3 core Sheathed Multi Core Bright Annealed Bare Copper Conductor Heavy Duty Industrial Flexible Cables for Voltage Grade 1100 Volts, 6 Sqmm suitable for 15 to 20 HP submersible motor complete all as specified and directed by engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and installation of Fountain Nozzle 1x18" Height On Straight, made up of Mild Steel/GI Pipe to be connected with single Ph system having capacity of 0.5 HP Submersible motor including connecting with Electric Wiring & Cabling and Pipe work of any size/dia, as per design of OEM including addition/alteration of existing foundation with foundation bolt all as required at site and specified by OEM complete all as specified and directed.
