Improvements to Kumta Tadas SH 69 from km 83.70 to 93.70 in Mundgod taluk of Uttara Kannada district under Central Road and Infrastructure Fund in the State of Karnataka

Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting rank vegetation, grass, bushes, shurbs, sapling and trees girth up to 300mm,removal of sumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable materials to be used or auctioned,up to a lead of 1000 meters including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150mm in thickness all labour, hire charges of all machineries., complete. (ii) By mechanical means (A) In area of light jungle. and as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Construction of unlined surface drains of average cross sectional area 0.40 sqm in soil to specified lines, grades, levels and dimensions to the requirement of clause 301 and 309. Excavanted material to be used in embankment within a lead of 50 metres including all lead, lifts, all labour, hire charges of all machineries etc., complete. Mechanical means.and as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Scarifying the existing bituminous surface to a depth of 50 mm and disposal of scarified material within all lifts and leads upto 1000 metres including all labour, usage charges of all machinery etc., complete. By Mechanical Means using Hydraulic excavator

Compacting original ground supporting embankment. Loosening, leveling and Compacting original ground supporting embankment to facilitate placement of first layer of embankment, scarified to a depth of 150 mm, mixed with water at OMC and then compacted by rolling so as to achieve minimum dry density as given in Table 300-2 for embankment construction in layers , spreading, braking, clods, removal of roots and other organic materials to the required line, grade and cross-section including watering, consolidation to the desired field density not less than 97% of maximum dry density including all labour, usage charges of all machinery etc., complete.

Construction of granular sub-base by providing close graded Material, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mixed Material to work site, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per clause 401 including protection of edges of GSB layer, cost of all materials, labour, usage charges of all machinery, lighting, guarding, barricading, maintenance of diversion road, loading & unloading all lead, lifts etc., complete with lead of mixed material up to 1 Km (Compacted thickness) Grading-II Material (Close graded) and as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate as per table 400-12 & 400-13, to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density of 98% including protection of edges of WMM layer, cost of all materials, labour, usage charges of all machinery, lighting, guarding, barricading, maintenance of diversion road, loading & unloading all lead, lifts etc., complete, with lead of mixed material up to 1 Km (Compacted thickness).Laying Using Grader and as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Providing and applying primer coat with SS1 bitumen emulsion complying IS-8887 on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.70 kg/sqm using mechanical means.as per table-500-3, including cost of all materials, labour, usage charges of all machinery, loading & unloading etc., complete, execpt lead for emulsion. and as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Providing and applying Tack Coat as per Table 500-5 on prepared surface using 80/100 grade Bitumen (VG-10) complying with IS 73 of approved quality and make including cleaning of road surface by Mechanical Broom & dusting by Air compressor, and spraying by Bitumen Pressure Distributor, including cost of all materials, labour, hire charges of machinery, loading, unloading stacking, etc complete, except lead for Bitumen. Ref to MoRTH Specification No 503 and as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.

Providing and laying dense graded bituminous macadam with higher capacity batch type HMP using crushed aggregates as per table 500-7 of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder VG-40 paving bitumen as per clause 504.3.1 complying with IS-73-2013 of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder at 4.5 percent by weight of total mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MoRTH specification clause No. 505 complete in all respects including cost of all materials all labour, usage charges of all machinery all lead, lifts, loading, unloading stacking transporting etc., complete, except lead for bitumen, with a lead of mixed material upto 1 km, excluding cost of primer/ tack coat - 50-75 mm compacted thickness. Grading -IIand as per the directions of the Engineer in charge.
