Material and labour for drain out existing contaminated water from open well/ dug shallow well of size 9 mtr x 4 mtr depth upto 20 to 35 mtr by pumping with the help of diesel driven pump set of not less than 20 HP and pipe complete, taking out of waste materials/ sludge, loose soil from bottom surface of well upto 2 to 3 mtr depth with the help of lifting trolley and further digging and getting out soil upto 1 mtr depth of bottom surface of well, removing grass and vegetation from inner walls of well including disinfection with high power sodium hypo chlorite liquid of not less than 60% chlorine concentration to disinfect all pathogens and coliform organisms from the wall surfaces of well to make a safe and clean spring in the well complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

(iii) The contractor shall provide dewatering pump of suitable capacity and mobile generator for operation of dewatering by high pressure submersible pump (or) Diesel driven high pressure pump and the quoted rate shall be deemed to be inclusive of rent/hiring charge complete. (iv) Necessary T & P to ensure the safety of labours like safety jackets, ropes, nets, helmets, gumboots etc required will be the responsibility of the contractor. (v) The potability of water is to be checked after filling fresh yield after cleaning and if the result is found not within the stipulated range, the cleaning and disinfection of well is to be repeated by the contractor without claiming any extra cost from the deptt.

(vi) Charges for water testing shall be measured and paid seperately. (vii) Material removed from the tank shall be disposed off at out side MD land. (viii) Open well/ Dug shallow well shall be made available for cleaning for a period of 2 days only and contractor has to arrange sufficient labour/ T & P to complete the job with the given period only or otherwise penality shall be imposed @ Rs 2000/- per day.

(ix) Please note that this penalty is exclusively other than the condition 56 of IAFW-2249 and shall be treated as interim condition of the contract. (x) The decision of the Accepting Officer in this regard shall be final and binding. (xi) The quoted rate shall be deemed to be included the cost of removing vegetation/ grass/ trimming of tree branches etc from atleast 5m surrounding of well and pumping room.
