Quality Control of work and arrangement of traffic shall be maintained as per section 900 & clause 112 of MORT&H specifications 5th revision 2013 respectively. The protection of edges of granular sub base extended over the full formation as shown in the drawing shall be considered incidental to the work of providing and laying GSB and no extra payment shall be made for the same. Providing & laying Bituminous Concrete of 30mm compacted thickness in a single course after applying tack coat 0.20 kg per sqm area on dence bituminous macadam surface over the base previously prepared in accordance with MORT&H specifications (5th revision 2013), after mixing the aggregate and CRMB-55 bitumen in electronic operated Hot Mix Plant as per approved mix and laying the same with the help of electronic sensor paver as per MORT&H specifications. After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 The through unit rate for this item include the cost of aggregates, bitumen filler fuel for heating bitumen in a boiler premixing of stone aggregate and bitumen in an electronic operated Hot Mix Plant and carriage of premixed materials from Hot Mix Plant to site of work, templates barriers, lighting arrangements & sundries etc. The Bitumenious Concrete for the purpose of payment shall be measured in Cubic Metre. The contract unit rate shall be all as specified in clause 507-9 except that the rate shall include the provision of bitumen @ 5.40% by weight of total mixure. If bitumen/binder cotent required is more than as specified in BOQ & MORT&H (5th revision) no extra payment will be made.Th extra bitumen /binder content will be considered as incidental to work. Befoe starting the work,the contractor shall propose different percentage of different sizes of coarse and fine aggregates which be intends to mix in order to get required grading. The same will be approved by the Engineer in Charge after the toal quantity of bitumen for Bituminous Concrete. Note: -1. A part from the confirmity with the grading and quantity requirement of individual ingredients, the mix aggregate i.e. crushed bajri, fine aggregates, filler for bituminous concrete (Grading-2) for 30mm thickness shall meet all requirement set forth in Clause 507 of MORT&H specifications (5th Revisoin 2013). 2. The final grading for aggregates required for Bituminous Concrete confirming to Table 500-17 of MORT&H specification( 5th revision 2013)shall be determined by Engineer in Charge after getting Bituminous Concrete designed from either C.R.R.I., New Delhi or Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh or Punjab P.W.D.Laboratory, Patiala or any other reputed laboratory approved by Superintending Engineer, Punjab, PWD B&R Branch, after obtaining 60% of the materials for the required grading at plant site. The design mix so finally approved by the Engineer-in-Charge shall be termed as approved Job Mix Formula if it is within permissible limits. 3. The approved mix shall exhibit the following details, Source and Location of all materials. i. Source and Location of all materials.. ii. Binder CRMB-55 expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. iii. Crushed bajriof 11.2mm/13.2mm guage expressed as a percentage by weight of total mix. iv. Fine aggregate expressed as a percentage by weight of total mix. v. Filler expressed as a percentage by weight of total mix vi. A single definite percentage passing the each sieve for the mix aggregate. vii. Density of Bituminous Concrete in laboratory should not be less than 2.36 gm/cc 4. The contractor, thereafter, shall be required to complete the supply of various in-gradients from an approved quarry/ sources mentioned above for Bituminous Concrete as per proportions stipulated in the approved Job Mix Formula. 5. Filler 2% which may be Rock Ash tydrated lime or cement. The limit having not less than 80% calcium carbonate, as filler should be preferred.

The final grading for aggregates required for Bituminous Concrete confirming to Table 500-17 of MORT&H specification( 5th revision 2013)shall be determined by Engineer in Charge after getting Bituminous Concrete designed from either C.R.R.I., New Delhi or Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh or Punjab P.W.D.Laboratory, Patiala or any other reputed laboratory approved by Superintending Engineer, Punjab, PWD B&R Branch, after obtaining 60% of the materials for the required grading at plant site. The design mix so finally approved by the Engineer-in-Charge shall be termed as approved Job Mix Formula if it is within permissible limits. 3. The approved mix shall exhibit the following details, Source and Location of all materials. i. Source and Location of all materials.. ii. Binder CRMB-55 expressed as percentage by weight of total mix. iii. Crushed bajriof 11.2mm/13.2mm guage expressed as a percentage by weight of total mix. iv. Fine aggregate expressed as a percentage by weight of total mix. v. Filler expressed as a percentage by weight of total mix vi. A single definite percentage passing the each sieve for the mix aggregate. vii. Density of Bituminous Concrete in laboratory should not be less than 2.36 gm/cc 4. The contractor, thereafter, shall be required to complete the supply of various in-gradients from an approved quarry/ sources mentioned above for Bituminous Concrete as per proportions stipulated in the approved Job Mix Formula. 5. Filler 2% which may be Rock Ash tydrated lime or cement. The limit having not less than 80% calcium carbonate, as filler should be preferred.

Providing and Fixing of Flexible Median Markers as peRC 79:2019 which shall be made of combination otough, high impact resistant molded thermoplastic body along with florescent yellow color retro-reflective type Xsheeting with minimum exposed reflective area 285 square mm and with rebound property.
