M & L for applying two coats of smart care damp proof of approved make by roller/brush over a coat of primer with smart care damp proof 33 % dilution including preparation of existing surface by complete removal of existing treatment by means of chipping the surface to remove loose particles and mortar and clean the surface with wire brush and water wash etc including filling & coving with smart care repair mortar (wherever required), filling of crack filler with smart care crack filler of same make (wherever required) complete all as per manufacturer’s instructions, all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Repair of cracks by cutting out cracks to V-section in existing roofs or terracing, cleaning out and filling solidly with a hot mixture of bitumen and clean dry sand 1:1 (by weight) all as specified and as directed

M &L for applying two coats of water proofing coating system of approved make over a coat of respective primer including preparation of plaster surface by complete removal of existing treatment including filling of crack with respective crack filler all as per manufacturers instructions complete all as specified and as directed.

Treatment of sunken floor slab comprises of the following specifications and all as specified and as directed :- (i) M&L for cleaning the sunken/lowered portion of RCC slab surface (including vertical total depth plus skirting height) of floors by wire brush, chisel out any mortar sticking to the surface and brooming completely. 40mm thick avg PCC 1:2:4 type B0 using 12.5mm graded aggregate as in padding concrete to achieve proper slope (ii) Rendering of uneven surfaces with 5 mm thick cement mortar 1:4 mixed with integral water proofing compound @ 3% by weight of cement consumed. Fill it with water and check dampness and seepage. Where dampness/seepage is noticed, nozzles shall be fixed and grouting to be carried out (WPC shall be measured and paid separately) (iii) All junctions points of side wall where CI/GI pipes are passing through shall be sealed with epoxy putty. (iv) After drying putty, wash the slab and sides of sunken portion with water and make it clear and clean.

(v) Applying two coats of polymer modified cementious water proof coating as per manufacturers instruction to bottom and vertical sides up to finished floor level (+100mm height). The thickness of two layer shall be 1mm. When the second layer is still sticky,, coarse sand spray shall be carried for the vertical and bottom surface of the sunken portion all as specified and directed. (This item shall be measured and paid separately under Item No.13.) (vi) Plaster the bottom and sides up to bottom of the skirting with minimum 20mm thick CM 1:4 mixed with integral water proofing compound @3% wt of cement consumed as per manufacturer's specification including rounding of corners and junctions sloping towards spout. (WPC shall be measured & paid separately ) Note :- Test the water proofed area (ponding test) by filling water for at least 72 hours and tested for leakage seepage and to the entire satisfaction of GE. Test shall be done in presence of reps of PMG and record for each sunken slab shall be maintained. The treatment shall be carried out by authorized applicators of chemicals. Cost of testing is included in the rates quoted above. (vii) All pipes laid in sunken portion shall be covered with 50mm thick PCC 1:3:6 all round after painting with anticorrosive paint Note:Painting shall be measured and paid separately)

M&L for applying two coats of polymer modified cementious water proof coating as per manufacturers instruction to bottom and vertical sides up to finished floor level +100 mm height. The thickness of two layer shall be 1mm. When the second layer is still sticky, coarse sand spray shall be carried for the vertical and bottom surface of the sunken portion all as specified and directed.

Supply only Integral Water proofing compound complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for PCC type E2 , 1:5:10 using 40 mm graded stone aggregate as in sunken floor of toilet complete all as specified and as directed.
