SPL REPAIR TO ROOF TREATMENT AT KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA AT ITARANA ALWAR UNDER GE ALWAR

Demolition of existing roof treatment of any description including cement plaster, roof padding, APP Membrane and cement tiles any thickness from the roof surfaces of buildings including cleaning of top surfaces in all respect and preparing for further treatment and taking out and removing the rubbish, debris outside MD land complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F chicken wire mesh in hexagonal shape, mesh size 25 mm, wire dia 0.71 mm complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for 50mm (laid in two layers ie. each layers 25 mm and chiken wire mess laid in between these two layers) cement concrete 1:2:4 (Nominal Mix) using 12.5 mm nominal size graded crushed stone aggregate mixed with water proofing compound as levelling course of roof padding finished even and fair complete all as specified and as directed. Note:- Water proofing compound and chicken wire mesh shall be measured and paid for separately.

Supply only integral water proofing compound.

Material & labour for rendering 20 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4 over RCC Roof mixed with water proofing compound @ 3% by weight of cement or manufacturer instruction finished even and fair complete all as specified and as directed. (Note;- water proofing compound shall be measured and paid separately as supply only)

M & L for ponding test by filling 75 mm deep water over roof by making necessary arrangement to fill the complete roof slab at least for 72 hours after carry out for item No 5 and before item No 7, and if found any leakage than including providing and fixing 12-16mm dia injection ports non-returnable nozzle by drilling, cleaning and sealing holes 50-75 mm deep at 200mm c/c with fast setting high strength Epoxy putty, solvent free, three component compound based on epoxy resins, graded fillers and thixotropic agents using Sikadur 31 of Sika or equivalent make in Fosroc / Thermax as approved by GE as in beams, columns, slab and parapets as per the technical specifications and manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for preparing RCC roof surfaces with wire brush drying and cleaning to remove all foreign materials and washing with water to remove loose particle and applying three course water proofing treatment with APP modified bituminous water proofing membrane with polyester reinforcement and plain finish of 3 mm thick (total weight of the finished membrane not less than 3.8 kg/ sqm ± 5 % per sqm) confirming to IS 16532: 2017 consisting of first course of bitumen primer conforming to IS 3384: 1986 @0.40 litre per sqm, second courses of bonding material of industrial bitumen of grade 85/25 conforming to IS 702: 2022 @ 1.20 kg per sqm and third course of APP membrane and including sealing all joints, overlapping etc. using Butane Torch as per Annex D of IS 16540: 2017 complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for cutting grooves or chase in brick wall, 75 mm wide and 65 mm deep and including filling with cement mortar 1:4 mixed with water proofing compound as mentioned in Annex D of IS 16532: 2017, IS 16540: 2017 complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for applying two cots of heat reflective high SRI (solar reflecting index) paint having minimum SRI of 108 as per ASTM E 1980, VOC less than 10 cc/gm. The coating thickness and the methodology of application shall strictly as per manufacturer's specifications and as approved by the Engineer-in-Charge. Surface preparation includes cleaning with metal wire brush to remove all dust, fungus etc., washing with water all complete. The contractor shall give guarantee for the performance of SRI and also the durability of coating, complete all as specified and as directed. Note: (a) The product shall have been included in the GRIHA Product catalogue.

M & L for bitumastic gola, with 85/25 industrial grade bitumen and coarse sand mixture. 1:3 by weight, 8 cm X 8 cm at the junction of roofing to vertical surfaces complete all as specified and as directed.
