| 5 | Water proofing treatment to sunken floors of kitchen, toilets, laboratories, bath and WCs etc shall be as under:-
(i) The top surface of the sunken RCC slab shall be laid with cross slope as indicated in drgs towards the spouts. The min thickness of the RCC slab shall be as specified in drg.
(ii) PCC 1:1.5:3 fillets at corners with 12.5mm graded aggregate shall be provided.
(iii) Plastering in CM (1:3) 15mm thick with WPC on walls as well as on sunken floor finished even and smooth using extra cement.
(iv) GI Pipe 40mm dia medium grade be inserted at the end of lateral slope projecting at least 15cm beyond the outer most projected part of the building below the drain pipe upto two storey construction and 25cm beyond two storey construction.
(v) After doing the plaster, testing be carried out by ponding (for 72 hrs) the sunken portion before further treatment to the sunken slabs. Any leakage/seepage observed shall be rectified before carrying out water proofing treatment. | 500 | Sqm | - | - |
| 5.01 | (vi) Two component Acrylic modiied Cementitious coating:-
(aa) The surfaces to be applied shall be completely dry and free from containments such as dirt, dust, oil, surface treatments and old coatings. Concrete substrates must be mechanically prepared using abrasive blast cleaning or milling to remove cement laitance, existing coating and achieve a gripping profile that is clean, dry and free from laitance and dry other form of surface contamination. The installation instructions in manufacture's published literature should be strictly complied with, including but not limited to the following:-
(bb) Chipping out any visible cracks in "V-Groove" pattern as applicable. Special attention on this part. Cleaning of cracks & then filling those cracks with SIKA latex SBR 100 putty/Dr Fixit 302 SBR latex/ Perma latex SBR/FOSROC Nitabond SBR latex/Asian paint latex as required. Final cleaning of surface with power grinder, wire brush, hair brush & vacuum pressure if required.
(cc) Dampen all surfaces immediately ahed of application of Acrylic modified Cementitious coating of sika Top Seal-107/Brush Bond FOSROC/Dr Fixit/STP/CICO.
(dd) Whilst the surface is still damp from saturation (S.S.D), apply one coat of Acrylic modified cementitious coating of SIKA Top Seal-107 /Brush Bond FOSROC/Dr Fixit/STP/CICO of viscosity as per manufacturer's instructions
(ee) Apply glass fabric sheet of SIKA Fab 1/FOSROC/Dr Fixit/STP whilst the first coat is wet. | - | - | - | - |

| 5.03 | (nn) Waterproofing treatment has to be carried out through applicators authorised by the respective manufacturer's and approved by GE.
(vii) All the joints of pipes and traps within the sunken portion shall be sealed properly by epoxy sealent.
