Removal of the existing detoriated lime plastering over the wall, arches, domes and special type of ceiling of Madras terraced type roof carefully without disturbing or damaging the rafters, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Racking out the brick joints of walls, arches, etc.,to a depth of approximately 5cm for a wall thickness of 45cm and above to remove the dead mortar in between the brick joints and cleaning the surface with coir brush and washed with pure water etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Clean removal of saline action over the stone pillars, brick wall etc., will paper pulp treatment by using floating paper, deionizer water, plastic bucket,coir, brush etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Removing the existing vegetation growth in the Building by way of uprooting the plants manually and then drilling with power driller up to the root depth of plants obtain a clean and neat drill so as to continuously inspect and remove left over roots of vegetation growths and to inject pesticides into the holes so as to prevent further growth of vegetation in the future to safeguard the country old heritage building etc. The cost including the cost of pesticides used, hire charges of injecting machine for injecting chemicals, cost of tools and all labour charges, etc., complete and complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Reconstruction of brick masonry wall with similar type of bricks in lime mortar 1:2 (one lime two sand) using wire cut brick of size 9"x4"x3" (Specially manufacturing) and using Pollachi lime in all floors as per traditional preparation and documented type construction such as arches and lintels, walls, etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Pointing , grouting and filleting the brick joint of wall and arches with lime mortar 1:2 (one of lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Strengthening the existing walls by providing grouting by formation of two holes of size 1" with required intervals - depth of 350mm for an area of 1 sq.m and depending upon the site conditions injecting lime slurry consisting of lime mortar 1:2 (one lime and two of sand) using Pollachi lime in all floors added with grouting admixture by 2% weight of lime, by using required equipment and the rate includes the cost of all materials, labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Replastering ( base plastering) the brick wall, pillars and arches, etc., with lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) to a thickness of 30 mm laid in two layers of 15mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Finishing the new/old plastered surface with Class C Lime as per IS 712-1973 in Three layers two base coat and one top coat of fine quality Metakaolin lime (M-Lime) which is a dehydroxylated form of the clay mineral Kaolinite. The top finished coat should be done as per approved colour and texture, or as directed by conversation architect/engineer in charge etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Replastering the ceiling, etc., with Lime mortar 1:1.5 (one Lime and one and half sand), 20mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors including labour charges, etc., complete complying with standard specifications as directed by the departmental officers.
Applying thin coat of hand grinded lime mortar paste in lime mortar 1:1.5 with redoxide (one lime and one and half sand) 6mm thick using Pollachi lime in all floors ( mix should be with 5.9 kg of jaggery, 2 kg of glue, 1.1 kg of gallnut, 1.4 kg of oakum, 30 nos eggs, 1 litre curd, 3 kg white marble powder, 0.5 kg vajram, 0.06m3 of surki, 0.5 kg of red oxide and 0.5 kg of yellow oxide) (for 10 sq.m area) of mugal plastering ( Theervai) over the newly plastered surface as per the existing clues (including finishing the surface with smoothness) `etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. ( For outer walls)
Teakwood wrought & putup for joist, beam, rafters and purlins,etc., which are in full length new member placed for supporting the Madras Terrace roof/ Mangalore tiles roof or any other area in all floor as directed by the departmental officers by using well seasoned superior quality and approved variety of teakwood for heritage building work including fixing of iron holdfasts incase of doors, windows and ventilators etc.,and excluding cost of holdfasts and making necessary size holes in the masonry to receive the ends of wooden joists, beams, etc., all fixtures and fastenings etc., complete. Item to include all moulding and chamber to be made as per original design indicated by the Engineer In Charge. (The rate includes the cost of teakwood, labour charges for wrought and putup to the existing clue/design, fixing in position to true alignment and gradient wherever necessary. Complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers (sample of teakwood to be shown to the Executive Engineer concerned for approval before use on work). Application of Solignum on the wooden surface should also be done. In all floors.
Providing and fixing in position of cut stone bed blocks of size 1.20m x 0.50m x 0.20m using Cut stone for placing I-beams including cost of stone blocks,conveyance,lifting and placing in position as directed by the departmental officers.
Supplying and fixing of best quality and approved variety of ISMB girder of required size and section of make TATA or equivalent of various span fixing below the madras terrace roof to support the roof in the places wherever necessary as directed by the departmental officers and fixed ISMB- grider ‘I’ Section over the bed blocks in the wall including cost of dismantling the brick work wherever necessary for fixing the ‘I’ Section and redoing the same and also the cost of ‘I’ Section labour charges hire charges for welding machineries, hoist for lifting and hire charges for hydraulic manuals Jacky and other allied tools etc., complete including the cost of porting of ISMB- grider ‘I’ section etc and one coat of red oxide primer etc., complete. The "I" beam has to be supported on brick wall using appropriate blocks so as to support the madras terrace roofing in all the floors etc., complete complying with standard specifications.(The make and brand of the ISMB girder I section should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works).
Grouting and stiching the wide cracks at roof (Madras Terrace Roof ) using lime mortar 1:2 with pot pieces for filling up the cracks and the voids, creivices and gap etc.shall be completely sealed with necessary grouting pump. This pressure pump is to be used after cleaning the cracks, washing etc., and then the cracks are grouted with lime mortar 1:2 and it is allowed to be cured till final setting of lime mortar before taking up further leak proof treatment work etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officer.
Grouting and stitching the cracked wall and arches by toothing method including required special bricks of size 8"x4"x2" wherever necessary cutting of groove and fixing of key stone of size 900mmx230mmx200mm in horizontal and finishing the surface with lime mortor as per orginal etc. excluding errection of scaffolding all labour charges, etc., complete and complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Providing water membarane treatement to the leaky terrace using Synthetic Butadine Rubber sheet (SBR) including hacking the surfaces and roughening the old RCC roof surface with wire brushes and tools wherever necessary and the Synthetic Butadine Rubber sheet (SBR) has been laying before weathering course brick jelly concrete and with using necessary SBR adhesive to carefuly laying with proper joints ( the joints over lap to be not more than over lap 15cm to 20cm ) etc, including labour for laying the sheets etc complete including curing and finishing neatly complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Finishing the top of roof with one course of machine pressed tiles of size 230mm x 230mm x 20mm of approved quality set in Cement Mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three Sand) 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound conforming to ISS at 2% by weight of cement used and the joints pointed neatly to full depth of tiles with the same cement mortar mixed with red oxide and water proofing compound including curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Paving the floor with best approved quality Heritage Pattern cement tile of Bharat tiles of size 200 x 200 x 20mm of approved colour and quality laid in cement mortar 1:3 (One cement and three M.sand) 20mm thick in all floors and the top pointed with the white cement mixed same colour pigments, polished and leveled etc., The Bharat tiles to be used shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard speicification.
Making, supplying and fixing of panelled window of size 1.65x2.10m with Teak wood window shutter is made with two number of 75mmx35mm size vertical styles, top rail, lock rails and bottom rail of size 80mmx35mm,200mmx35mm, 129mmx25mm respectively . The window shutter panels is covered with teak wood planks of 35mm thick including all necessary fittings brass/steel hardwaraes like screws, nails, hinges, hooks, tower bolts, handle, aldrops of same design, size etc complete. item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officer. Renewing and fixing fully glazed shutters for windows openable type by using well seasoned teakwood of superior quality as per the original design and pattern instructed by the Engineer In Charge. The window shutter is made of vertical styles of size 80mm x 30mm. Both top and bottom rail is of size 80mm x 30mm. The window shutter panels is covered with 4mm thick plain glass which is fixed with teakwood reepers scantling of size 35mm x 30mm on both sides and the glass panel is divided into 6 parts. Item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. Renewing and fixing of glazed ventilator with new Teak wood glazed ventilator of size 1.20m x 0.60m by using Teak wood scanting thickness of size 0.04m frames fixed with 4mm thick pin headed glass including labour for wrought put up and fixing the ventilator in position with necessary furniture fittings including with neat finishing etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.
Providing colour glass panes with Mughal Emperor pattern Hitching ornmental jaffri work 5mm thick glass panes for fixed arch portion top of door ( Heritage pattend doors) of approved quality including fixing in position with TW beading all round the glass panes with nails etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Painting new iron works such as steel doors, windows, ventilators, window bars, balustrades etc., with two coats of best approved first quality and colour of synthetic enamel paint over the existing red oxide priming coat in all floors excluding cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)
Revarnishing with old/ new wood work with two coats of best melamine varnish of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface etc.. The rate is inclusive the cost of all material, labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete compluing with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Laying Brick jelly lime concrete in lime mortar 1:2 ( One lime and two brick jelly ) (no sand to be added) using 20 mm gauge brick jelly for foundation, flooring including dewatering wherever necessary and laid in layers well rammed, consolidated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Providing two legged scaffolding using 48.30mm dia heavy duty MS pipe over all height of 3.00m the distance between 2 legs being 1.25m and the spacing of the post being 2m in each rows and providing platform with C.W. planks using 40mm thick silver oak and 1.00m wide in complete form with horizontal bracings @ 1.50m c/c vertical direction and with cross bracings using same 48.30mm dia including cutting, threading assembly with red oxide primer, labour charges cost of specials such on large plate, shoe, carcher, coupling, bolt and nut transportation charges. The bottom of vertical post shall rest on 300x300x70mm 1:2:4 concrete base etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Supplying and fixing in position of Shade Net (Green Net) using vertical protection for under construction / High-rise building. The net standard size is 3mx50m &5mx50m. The rate is inclusive cost of Agro Shade Net, binding wire(or) cable tie, Labour charges for fixing in position and neatly etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Labour charges for supplying and fixing of hoisting machine by hire basis for lifting of all materials from ground to terrace and shifting of damaged unused materials from terrace to ground floor with necessary rope, heisting platform, motor, controller as per site requirement days etc., the rate is inclusive of hire charges for machine, labour charges for operating the machine and daily Bata and conveyance charges and dismantling and removing the same after completion of work etc complete with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Construction of mortar pit of inner size 0.90m x 0.45m with brick partition wall 11.50cm thick in cement mortar 1:3 (one cement and three sand) for 60cm height with necessary earth work open excavation for a size of 1.43m x 0.98m to a depth of 0.91m and sand filling for 15cm thick, Plain Cement Concrete 1:5:10 (one cement, five sand and ten 40mm HBG stone jelly), 8cm thick with plastering 1:5 (one cement and sand), 12mm thick on both sides and top etc., complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Providing pest control with antitermite treatement drilling holes at junction of walls with floors at 300mm intervals and injucting chemical emulsion on those with cement etc. making holes along the vertical surface out side the walls at 150mm intervals to the depth of 450mm pointing chemical emulsion into the holes and closing holes with chemical etc. spraying all surface of treatment is to be done as per IS code no:5313/ Part III 1981 with approved chemical.(The chemical is to be used on the work should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on work) etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Collecting and disposing the stacked and dumped matetials like office old damaged unservicable Printing machineries, damaged and decayed wooden partitions, and office furnitures and coveyance for the inside of the building to shifted the inside of the Press building campus used specialized labour by head load with necessary preventive and precautionary measures with helmet, safety belts and ropes and necessary scaffolding arrangements for high wall height of the building 6.30m the waste materials are conveyed by Tipper lorries with help of JCB as on rerquired including hire charges for (JCB and Tipper) including Labour charages for head load conveyance etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Collecting the scattered debris from the campus and conveying away the same to outside by lorry to a lead of 9km including loading and unloading charges and dumping in low places and leveling etc., Complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Easing and repairing hanging doors, window shutters and refixing the same after attending the petty repairs including fixing furniture fittings and excluding cost of furniture fittings etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
