M&L for preparing black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface, providing, laying, spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and Vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) Job mix formula shall be approved by CWE. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Computerised print out of data of bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by the contractor.

M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4.5% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by CWE.

M&L for repairs to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 square metre each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, on existing road surfaces, and making good applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premixed bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4.5% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 sqm, blinded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipping, complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by CWE.

M&L for Thermo plastic road marking 2 mm thick painting (lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc on new or previously treated road surfaces) with road safety spikeries glass beads including preparation of new or previously treated road surfaces and applying paint by using special applicator machine with heating arrangement complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling road sign board of area not exc 2 sqm and height 1.50m to 3.00m of any shape including posts or struts, including taking out embedded portion in concrete, brick work, masonry etc and making good disturbed ground surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down / dismantling carefully road sign board of area not exc 2 sqm and height 2.50m to 3.00m each and refixing at same location after necessary repairs complete all as directed. Notes : (i) Repair to road sign board shall be measured and paid separately under relevant items of this Schedule. (ii) Serviceable components of road sign board or whole road sign board shall be reused as directed.

S&F mild steel framed work using ERW or induction butt welded tubes conforming to I.S 1161-1979 Grade St-240 including necessary welding, bolting, special shaped washer, clamps, cleats etc. as in road sign boards, direction boards, posts and similar works, complete all as specified & as directed. Notes : (i) All steel & iron surfaces shall be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved tint over a coat of red oxide zinc chrome primer and cost thereof shall deemed to be included in quoted rate of this item (ii) The weight of paint shall not be considered for payment purpose.

S&F transparent plain fiber sheet of not less than 1.80mm thickness and upto 2.00mm thickness, fixed to old/new stainless steel / mild steel sheet of sign board with suitable size nuts & bolts, rivets including necessary drilling, removal of old sheet where required complete all as specified and as directed.
