Mobilisation of Mechanical drilling equipment on site and shifting of entire arrangement from one bore to another bore hole location and setting of boring/drilling rig as required/directed by Engineer-in-charge.

Boring 150mm dia bore hole up to 12 m depth to collect 100mm dia UDS through following type of strata :-

(a) Any type of Soil.

(b) Soft Rock. (c) Hard Rock

Collection of undisturbed soil sample at 1.50 m intervals or at any change of strata in 100mm bore thin walled tube including waxing sealing, packing and transporting to the lab.

Carrying out standard Penetration Test (SPT) including collection of disturbed Soil samples in bore holes at every 1.50 m depth or any change of strata and submit the report with all requisite data.

Conducting necessary tests as per relevants IS codes-1892 / NBC 2005 / SP 36 on all collected samples which include the determination of :-(a) Atterberg Limits (b) Wet and dry density degree of saturation of soil. (c) Unit weight (Bulk density),Natural Moisture content, Liquid limit, plastic limit, Shrinkage limit, plasticity Index Specific gravity. (d) Grain size analysis Identification & classification of soil. Soil particle size distribution using sieve / Hydrometer analysis. (e) Shear perameter (C-Phi Analysis) Tri-axial shear test C-Phi and determination. (f) Shrinkage limit. (g) Consolidation test & permeability test.

(h) Spepcific gravity test for sand / rock. (j) Crusing strength of rock samples, Find out RQD value and degree of weathering. (k) Permeability test. (l) Chemical analysis of ground water sample (Water to be obtain from bottom of bore hole ) (Min 02 Sample). (m) Free Swelling Index & swelling pressure if Expansive soil encounteed. (n) Depth of water table below Ground Level. (o) Presence of loose soil, if any and its depth. (p) If weak soil with lesser N value as specified in Table-1 of IS 1893 (Part-102016 is encounter then evaluation of liquefaction potential shall be assessed and remedial action to be adopted shall be specified. (q) Chemical analysis of soil

Submission of report in four sets giving site plan showing test points, sub soil profile, results of field investigations, laboratory test results, calculation of SBC from SPT test, comprehensive type of foundation.

Note : (i) Rate includes all items of work necessary for carrying out complete soil exploration work, collection of sample, testing at laboratory and field test results and submission of reports (Four sets). (ii) Rate includes for submission of detailed recommendation for Open foundation. Calculation of Net SBC at 1.50 / 2.00 / 2.50 / 3.00 depth from shear as well as settlement criteria. SBC shall be calculate based on C-Phi analysis as well as STP value. For calculation formulae given in IS-6403 shall be used. Type of foundation and depth of footing be clearly specified. (iii) In case very weak soil strata is encountered, recommendation about pile foundation i.e Type, Dia, Depth of pile, safe load carrying capacity and socketing of pile into hard rock shall be clearly given in the report. (iv) Safe bearing capacity shall be worked out based on N value, shear failure and settlement criteria.
