Roof treatment of balance quarters in different colonies of BHEP, Balimela.

Removing Old tarfelt from roof slab, cleaning the surface lowering and removing the debris within 50m lead including cost of labour and complete as per direction of EIC.

Removing old grading plaster from roof slab, cleaning the surface, lowering and removing the debris within 50m lead including cost of labour and complete as per direction of EIC.

4cm thick grading concrete (1:2:4) on roof slab mixing with waterproofing compound (Dr. Fixit Pidiproof LW+/Shaliplast LW+) is specially formulated integral liquid waterproofing compound composed of surface active plasticising agents, polymers & dditives@200ml/50kg cement) or any reputed make as per IS : 2645-2003 and IS: 9103-2000 standards including curing as per direction of EIC with 6mm size hard granite chips on old work.

Providing & laying on roof 3mm thick APP modefied water proofing membrane with STP super thermolay plain having 160 GSM Non wooven polyster core reinforcement applied by torch on method with the help of LPG/ Butane gas torch and sealing of all overlapping joint s properly by torch welding with the help of a round tipped small steel trowel to make the entire surface monolithic. The overlapping joints shall be 100mm each in both longitudinal and transverse direction. The membrane shall be laid on smooth level surface (ensuring that there is proper slope on the roof ,for complete drainage of rain water into the drain mouth provided at various place on the roof ), by first sealing of all major cracks more than2mm width by making V grooves and then sealing the cracks with the PMC mortar, prepared at site by adding Latex (ShaliSBR latex) in the mortar(1:4) cement : sand after giving a slurry bond coat of same Latex: water :cement in the ratio of 1:4:6 & leaving it to cure for 2 days minimum 8 making the surface totally dust free and the applying coat of STP's Shalitex primer @ 400gms/sqm & leaving the same to dry overnight and then laying of the membrane i.e. Superthermlay,3mm plain by first aligning the mebrane & then start laying from the lowest point of slope of the roof upwards, by showing the flame at the junction of the membrane and the substrate from the center of the sheet to the edge in the both direction in such a way thay 50% of the flame first goes on to the substrate and then 50% to the mebrane at the junction area till it bleeds slightly, which then is pressed carefully again from centre to the sides to take out the entrapped air if any and slowly un rolling and heating to complete entire mebrane ,followed by joint welding. The entire roof when is done with this manner(or a sizable area is completed),then a top sealer coat of hot applied bitumen 85/25 is given @ 1.2kg/sqm, which then is finished with a top painting of bitumen based UV resustant aluminium coating i.e. Super silver shield @ 0.125kg/sqm to make the treatment UV resistant and heat reflective for enhanced life and durability of waterproofing works, complete in all respect as per TDS of the company and direction of EIC.
