Part-A (Road Works) Box cutting or filling in Road embankment in all sorts of soil including spreading the spoils properly over the flank as necessary or on berm to approximate grade & camber and rolling the sub-grade with power roller to proper camber and grade as per direction and satisfaction of Engineer-in-charge including uprooting and removing plants and jungles when and where necessary. i) Upto depth 450 mm.
ii) Upto depth 850 mm.
Picking up and removing old bituminous layer or sand sealing coat from old black topped surface and cleaning the exposed surface by scraping and stacking the material as directed. (a) By mechanical means (without milling machine) (i) From 50 mm to 100 mm thick.
Construction of Embankment with Material Deposited from Roadway Cutting. Construction of embankment with approved materials deposited at site from roadway cutting and excavation from drain and foundation of other structures graded and compacted to meet requirement of Tables 300.1 and 300.2 as per Technical Specification Clause 301.5 for Rural Roads of MORD including carriage of material for a distance of 1 km.
Construction of granular sub-base by providing salvage material. Construction of granular sub-base by providing salvage material, mixing by mix in place method with Rotavator at OMC, spreading in uniform layers with Motor grader on prepared surface in proper grade and camber, compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, including lighting, guarding, barricading, including cost of all materials, machinery, tools and plants including cost of quality control complete as per Clause 401 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision).
Supplying, spreading and compacting Medium Sand to required thickness, in layers not exceeding 150 mm to proper gradient and camber, inundating each layer by water and packing and ramming layer by layer to achieve desired compaction, including lighting, guarding, barricading and making adequate earthen bundh where necessary, curing with water as per direction, mending cracks and depressions by ramming wherever necessary. The payment is to be made on the basis of the finished compacted volume.
Granular Sub-base with Graded Material Plant Mix Method: Construction of granular sub-base by providing pakur variety graded material, mixing in Wet Mix Plant at OMC, carriage of mixed material to work site, spreading in uniform layers with Motor grader on prepared surface in proper grade and camber, compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve the desired density, including lighting, guarding, barricading, including cost of all materials, machinery, tools and plants and cost of quality control complete as per Clause 401 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). i) Grading-III

Wet Mix Macadam Base Course Providing, laying, spreading and compacting pakur variety graded stone aggregate to Wet Mix Macadam specification including screening of aggregates and granular materials, premixing the material with water at OMC in Wet Mix Plant, carriage of mixed material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with Paver in Sub- base / Base course on well prepared surface and compacting with Vibratory Roller to achieve the desired density, including supply of all materials, machinery, fuel and lubricants, including incidental costs for lighting, guarding, barricading, making earthen bundh to protect the edges including cost of quality control complete as per Clause 406 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision).
Dry Lean Cement Concrete Sub- base Construction of dry lean cement concrete Sub- base over a prepared sub-grade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS: 383, the size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, aggregate cement ratio not to exceed 15:1, aggregate gradation after blending to be as per table 600-1, cement content not to be less than 150 kg/ cum, optimum moisture content to be determined during trial length construction, concrete strength not to be less than 10 Mpa at 7 days, mixed in a batching plant, transported to site, laid with a paver with electronic sensor, compacting with 8-10 tonnes vibratory roller, finishing and curing. (As per clause 601 of specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision).
Supplying and laying in the specified pattern of Interlocking Concrete Block Pavement (ICBP) with concrete blocks (with concrete grade as specified as per Table 1 of IS 15658:2006) manufactured in steel mould clamped to a vibrating table by hydraulic pressure (as per cl no. 6.30 of IRC : SP: 63(2018) from BIS license manufacturer with spacer nib (small producing profiles on the vertical face of a paver block used as a device for keeping minimum joint gap in between the paving blocks as per cl. no.3.26 of IS:156358) and of specified size and shape with aspect ratio (The ratio of length to thickness of a paver block as per cl. no. 3.3 of IS:15658 ) as per table 2 of IS:15658 with flexural strength/breaking load as per annexure G of IS: 15658 on the prepared base course of specified CBR as per table 1 of IRC SP63 (2018)or else as mentioned in design and drawing with a cushion of compacted bedding sand of 25-35mm thick (grading of the bedding sand as per clause6.5.1 of IRC:SP-63) and filling up the gaps in between paver blocks with joint filling sand (the grading of the joint filling sand will be as per clause 6.5.2 of I(RC SP 63) and completing the edges with cut blocks as per cl no 8.7 of IRC SP-63(2018) with proper confinement of bedding and joint filling sand compaction, levelling and filling up of the edge gap. 120 mm thick. (I) Grey
Plain Cement Concrete in Substructure with pakur variety coarse aggregates of appropriate nominal size and grading, fine aggregate (sand) conforming to proper grading zone, both of approved quality, cement and water reducing admixtures, as necessary, including labour, cost and carriage of all materials and including preparation of design mix, approval of the same by the Engineer-in-Charge and cost for quality control, sampling, testing etc. all complete as per drawing and technical specification including the cost of necessary form work and staging complete as per drawing and technical specifications. A. PCC Grade M30. (i) Height upto 5m II) With Batching Plant, Transit Mixer and Concrete Pump
Part-B (Road Furniture) Providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5 mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5 mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC:35. The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes complete as per Clause 803 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision).
Reinforced cement concrete M15 grade kilometre stone of standard design as per IRC:8-1980, fixing in position including painting and printing etc. (i) Ordinary kilometer stone (precast)
Providing and fixing of retro- reflectorised cautionary, mandatory and informatory sign as per IRC :67 made of high intensity grade sheeting vide clause 801.3, fixed over aluminium sheeting, 1.5 mm thick supported on a mild steel angle iron post 75 mm x 75 mm x 6 mm firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundation with M15 grade cement concrete 45 cm x 45 cm x 60 cm, 60 cm below ground level as per approved drawing and Clause 801 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision). i) 60 cm equilateral triangle

Direction and Place Identification Signs with size more than 0.9 sqm size Board. Providing and erecting direction and place identification retro- reflectorised sign as per IRC :67 made of high intensity grade sheeting vide clause 801.3, fixed over aluminium sheeting, 2 mm thick with area exceeding 0.9 sqm supported on a mild steel angle iron post 75 mm x 75 mm x 6 mm, 2 Nos. firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly designed foundation with M 15 grade cement concrete 45 cm x 45 cm x 60 cm, 60 cm below ground level as per approved drawing and Clause 801 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision).
Part- C (Protective Work) Protection of embankment with walling by closely driven 150 mm diameter single row eucalyptus ballah each of 4500 mm total length, driven 2700 mm into ground or bed of pond / water body in standing water condition, @ 400 mm center to center with 1800 mm exposed height, including fittings of three numbers half split 100 mm diameter eucalyptus bullah Runner along full length of the walling, including 100mm diameter eucalyptus bullah tie of 2500 mm. in length, fitted @ 2250 mm center to center with Tie-post anchoring by driving 100mm diameter eucalyptus bullah Tie post of 1650mm. in length, 1500 mm length driven into ground on the road side @ 2250mm centre to centre, 2 (Two) coats coal tarring (Double coat)on Eucalyptus bullah used complete as per direction including the cost of supplying eucalyptus bullah, nails, bolts, wires, etc. and labour charges for cutting bullah, driving charges for driving ballah into ground, fitting, fixing charges for Runner & Tie, including excavation charges, carriage & labour charges complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (Diameter of pile to be measured at a distance of 1.5m from the thicker end and Payment will be made on finished length of walling complete as per specification & direction of Engineer-in-Charge.)
Supplying of empty Cement bags in good condition and labour for filling empty Cement bags with dry earth (land arrange by the Agency), stitching the bag (cost of thread included) and carrying and placing them in position and all incidental charges complete including cost of earth and empty Cement bags all complete in all respect as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. Note: During initial payment, a sum of Rs 29.00/ m3 & Rs 5.30/m3 (both with out GST & LW Cess) of equivalent volume of borrowpit of earth filled in empty cement bags is to be dudcted from the bill as Royalty & Cesses charges, which will be paid seperately on production of Royalty clearance cerificate from the competent authority.
Part-D (CD Work) Dismantling of existing structures like culverts, bridges, retaining walls and other structure comprising of masonry, cement concrete, steel work, including T&P and scaffolding wherever necessary, sorting the dismantled material, disposal of unserviceable material and stacking the serviceable material with all lifts and lead of 1000 m as per Technical Specifications Clause 202 for Rural Roads of MORD. (I) By Mechanical Means a) Cement concrete.
b) Reinforced cement concrete.
Dismantling Brick/Tile Work Dismantling of existing structures like culverts, bridges, retaining walls and other structures comprising of brick masonry, including disposal of unserviceable material and stacking the serviceable material with all lift and lead of 1000 m as per Technical Specifications Clause 202 for Rural Roads of MORD. a) Cement Mortar.
Excavation for Structures Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, removing, spreading or stacking of spoils within a lead of 150 m. as directed and including trimming the sides of the trenches, leveling, dressing and ramming the bottom, and backfilling with approved material complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge . I. In all sorts of soil excluding marshy soil & rocks (soft or hard) by manual means. a) upto 3 m depth (i) Without pumping out water and shoring
Sand filling in foundation trenches and at the back of abutments, wing-walls etc. with good local sand free from earth in layers not exceeding 15 cm. considering compaction factor of dry clean sand is 0.835, including inundating each layer by profuse water and poking and ramming layer by layer complete including supply of sand. Quality of sand is to be approved by the Engineer-in-charge.
Plain Cement Concrete in Open foundation without reinforcements, in any part of foundation of bridges / culverts with pakur variety graded stone chips of appropriate nominal sizes, including screening and cleaning of coarse aggregates, fine aggregate (sand) conforming to proper grading zone, both of approved quality and cement, as necessary, cost of curing with water, including cost and carriage of all materials and including preparation of design mix, approval of the same by the Engineer-in-Charge, cost for quality control, sampling, testing etc. including cost of formwork but excluding reinforcement complete as per drawing and technical specifications. A. PCC Grade M20
Reinforced Cement Concrete in Substructure with pakur variety coarse aggregates of appropriate nominal size and grading, fine aggregate (sand) conforming to proper grading zone, both of approved quality, cement and water reducing admixtures, as necessary, including labour, cost and carriage of all materials and including preparation of design mix, approval of the same by the Engineer-in-Charge and cost for quality control, sampling, testing etc. all complete as per drawing and technical specification including the cost of necessary form work and staging complete as per drawing and technical specifications. A. RCC Grade M30 (i) Height upto 5m I) With Batching Plant, Transit Mixer and Concrete Pump
Supplying, fitting and placing HYSD bar reinforcement in Bridge Super-structure including initial straightening, straightening of coils bars, removal of loose rust (if any), cutting to requisite length bending, binding with annealed wire not less than 1 mm in size and conforming to IS 280 at every intersection hooked and bent to correct shape and placed on forms etc. including cost of black annealed wire and cost of loading, unloading, carriage of all steel materials complete as per drawing and technical specifications. Using Tor steel rods /HYSD bars/TMT bars (JSW/JSPL/ SHYAM/ SRMB/ SSL/BMASL/ Electrosteel) of (Fe 415/Fe 500/ Fe 500D) conforming to IS:1786.
Drainage Spouts in Superstructure including providing drip mouldings and also including supplying, fitting and fixing approved type of materials complete as per drawing and Technical specification vide clause no. 2705 of MoRT&H’s Specification for Road & Bridge Works.
Providing weep holes in Brick masonry / Plain / Reinforced concrete abutment, wing wall / return wall with 100 mm dia AC pipe, extending through the full width of the structure with slope of 1V:20H towards drawing face. Complete as per drawing and Technical specifications.
Reinforced Cement Concrete Crash Barrier ( For new Bridge construction) Provision of an Reinforced cement concrete crash barrier at the edges of the road, approaches to bridge structures and medians, constructed with reinforced cement concrete with HYSD reinforcement conforming to IRC:21 and dowel bars 25 mm dia, 450 mm long at expansion joints filled with pre-moulded asphalt filler board, keyed to the structure on which it is built and installed as per design given in the enclosure to MOST circular No. RW/NH - 33022/1/94-DO III dated 24 June 1994 as per dimensions in the approved drawing and at locations directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, all as specified.
Providing and laying of Filter media with brick aggregates & coarse sand satisfying the requirements laid down in clause 2504.2.2 of MoRT&H Specifications to a thickness of not less than 600 mm with smaller size towards the soil and bigger size towards the wall and provided over the entire surface behind abutment, wing wall and return wall to the full height compacted to a firm condition complete as per drawing and technical specification. Using 0.72 m3 of brick aggregates and 0.48 m3 of coarse sand (dry loose volume) per cubic meter of compacted volume.
Painting with approved synthetic enamel paint Circular panel (upto 30cm dia.) or Rectangular panel (size 38cm to 30cm x 25cm to 20cm) including the Load classification number or the number of bridge or culvert painted thereon in a different colour, complete as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Part-E (Surface Drain) Earth work in excavation of foundation of structures as per drawing and technical specification, including setting out, removing, spreading or stacking of spoils within a lead of 150 m. as directed and including trimming the sides of the trenches, leveling, dressing and ramming the bottom, and backfilling with approved material complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-Charge.
