FALSE CEILING :

REPAIR & REHABILITATION WORKS :
Fixing chowkhats in existing opening including embedding chowkhats in floors or walls cutting masonry for holdfasts, embedding hold fasts in cement concrete blocks of size 15x10x10 cm with cement concrete 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size), painting two coats of approved wood preservative to sides of chowkhats and making good the damages to walls and floors as required complete, including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground, all complete as per directions of the Engineer-in -Charge :

Renewing glass panes, with putty and nails wherever necessary including racking out the old putty :
Float glass panes of nominal thickness 4.0 mm (weight not less than 10 Kg/sqm)
Providing and laying APP (Atactic Polypropylene Polymer) modified prefabricated five layer, 3 mm thick water proofing membrane, blac k finished reinforced with glass fibre matt consisting of a coat of bitumen primer for bitumen membrane @ 0.40 litre/sqm by the same membrane manufactured of density at 25°C, 0.87-0.89 kg/litre and viscocity 70-160 cps. Over the primer coat the layer of membrane s hall be laid using butane torch and sealing all joints etc., and preparing the surface complete. The vital physical and chemical par ameters of the membrane shall be as under : (a) Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23°C as 350/300 N/5 cm. ( b) Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 60/80N. (c) Softening point of membrane not less than 150°C. (d) Cold f lexibility shall be up to -2°C when tested in accordance with ASTM, D-5147. The laying of membrane shall be got done through the aut horised applicator of the manufacturer of membrane.
STRUCTURAL REPAIR WORKS :
Chipping of unsound/ weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with manual Chisel and/or by standard power driven percu ssion type or of approved make including tapering of all edges, making square shoulders of cavities including cleaning the exposed c oncrete surface and reinforcement with wire brushes etc. and disposal of debris for all lead and lifts all complete as per direction s of the Engineer-in-Charge :

Cleaning of reinforcement from rust from the reinforcing bars to give it a total rust free steel surface by using alkaline chemical rust remover of approved make with paint brush and removing loose particles after 24 hours of its application with wire brush and th oroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry, all complete as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge :

Providing and applying anticorrosive treatment to exposed structural reinforcement with two coats of IPNET RB or equivalent with tim e interval of minimum 8-10 hours between each coat after the application of two coats of alkaline rust converting primer. The applic ation shall be done by brush after cleaning existing reinforecement with wire/ rotary wire brush to make the surface free from loose material, dirt etc. and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry inclusive of all materials, labour, equipment, etc. co mplete as per specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. The application of anticorrosive treatment shall be strictly as per technical specifications and directions of the Engineer-in-Charge. [Note: Unit "M" shall mean "RUNNING METRE". The running me tre of rebars shall be measured for payment purpose].
Providing, mixing and applying bonding coat of approved adhesive on chipped portion of RCC as per specifications and directions of t he Engineer-in-Charge complete in all respect :
SBR Polymer (@ 10% of cement weight) modified cementitious bond coat @ 2.2 kg cement per sqm of surface area mixed with specified pr oportion of approved polymer.
Shotcreting R.C.C. columns, beams and slabs etc. in layers with approved design mix concrete having the specified minimum characteri stic compressive strength (with ordinary portland cement, coarse sand and graded stone aggregate of 10 mm maximum size in proportion as per design criteria) including the cost of centering and shuttering at edges and corners etc. as directed by the Engineer-in-Cha rge : Note: Rates shall include the providing necessary ground wires etc. The levelling gauges, if used, shall be paid for separatel y. Point wiring - Supplying, installation and testing with 1.5 Sq.mm stranded PVC insulated copper conductor wires for phase & neutral of 650V grade including earthing by providing 1.5 Sq.mm earth insulated continutity wire of copper in PVC conduit (Supply & installa tion of PVC conduit covered elsewhere in SOR) recessed on wall/ceiling/ false celing including supply & installation of switch boxes ,junction boxes, pull boxes, bushes, screws, check nuts, bends, modular switches and sockets .
