| 2CHILLED WATER PIPING Supply, erection, testing and commissioning of factory fabricated pre-insulated pipes consisting of MS carrier pipes, PUF insulation and aluminum outer jacket as per specification complete with bends, flanges etc The carrier pipe shall be of carbon steel ERW conforming to IS 1239/3589 (grade Fe330) supplied in 6m ± 100 mm standard length only All pipes shall be brand new, flawless and free from any rust, corrosion and deterioration. The insulation shall be applied by injecting the polyurethane foam into the annulus between carrier pipe and pre-extruded aluminum outer jacket pipe in accordance to ASTM C 591 or by spraying the foam directly onto the pipe and extruding the jacket directly on top of the foam in accordance to ASTM C 1029 type III. The insulation shall have minimum core density of 42 kg/m3, 90% minimum closed cell content, minimum compressive strength of 310 kPa and maximum thermal conductivity of 0.03 W/mK at 24°C. The outer jacket shall be formed from 24 G aluminum sheet conforming to IS 277.The preinsulated pipes shall be supported on 75 mm thick PUF saddles and clamped firmly with GI Uclamps on MS supports.
