| 10 | Material and labour for providing maintenance-free chemical earthing complete with copper-bonded steel electrode of not less than 17.2 mm dia and 3.0 m long (copper bonding thickness not less than 250 microns) or pure copper electrode of 50 mm dia and 3.0 m long, as specified, surrounded by a proprietary backfill compound of non-corrosive, moisture-retaining and conductive material, conforming to IS:3043 and IEC 62561 (Part 7).
The work shall include excavation, preparation of pit, provision of PVC earth pit chamber with CI cover, funnel with wire mesh for watering arrangement, and connection to earthing strip/wire by exothermic welding or with copper clamps and nuts, bolts, and washers.
Testing of earth resistance shall be carried out using calibrated digital earth tester by fall-of-potential method as per IS:3043, and test report shall be submitted in the prescribed format duly signed by all concerned.
