DIESEL GENERATOR SET

Supply , installing Testing and commissioning of Silent Type Generating set along with prime power rating of following rating.

a) Diesel Engine:

500 kVA (400 kW) 415 volts 50 HZ at 1500 RPM constant at NTP conditions, 0.8 lagging power factor , 3 phase system , developing 587 BHP, water cooled,6 in line cyliders, turbo charge, Electric Start with electronic governor and comply the latest CPCB emission Norms IV+ effect from 01-07-2023 (Also see the attached Specification)

b) Engine mounted instrument panel fitted with and having microprocessor based digital display for following:

i) Start-stop switch with key

ii) water temperature indication

iii) Lubrication oil pressure indication

iv) Lubrication oil temperature indication

v) Battery charging indication

vi) RPM indication

vii) Over speed indication

viii) Low lub.Oil trip indication

ix) Digital Engine Hours indication

c) Alternator:

Synchronous alternator rated at 400KW( 500kvA /695Amps), 415volts at 1500 RPM, 3phase 50Hz, AC supply with 0.8 lagging power factor at 40 degree C, 50% RH & at 1000 MeterMSL.The alternator shall be having SPDP enclosure, brushless, continuous duty, space heaters,self-excited and self -regulated through AVR, Voltage regulation +/- 0.5% rated voltage from no load to full load confirming to IS: 4722/BS: 5000 suitable for tropical conditions and with class 'H' insulation.

d) Base Frame & Foundation:

Both the engine and the alternator shall be mounted on suitable base frame made of MS channel with necessary reinforcement which shall be installed on suitable cement concrete foundation and vibration isolation arrangement as per recommendation of manufacturer. Necessary foundation also included in the scope of the contractor and as per the recommendation drawings givenby the manufacurers.All the drawings are properly submitted to the Engineer incharge of IITMadras and execution will be taken up after the approval of drawings.

e) Fuel Tank:

Integral FuelTank of minimm 700 Litrs capacity provided with drain plug air vent, inlet and outlet connection level indicator and provision for cleaning and direct filling.

f) Exhaust System:

Dry exhaust mainfold with hospital exhaust silencer and cayalytic convertor.

g) Starting system:

12V/ 24V DC starting system comprising of starter motors: voltage regulator and arrangement for initial excitation complete with suitable nos. of batteries (25 plates, 180 Amp. Hour capacity lead acid type) as required as per specification.

h)The standard manual control panel with hinged doors undrilled botom gland plate accomadatiing the following a) 1000A TPMDO ACB with U/V, OLR and SC protection of reputed make as per approved list enclosed, b) Neutral link, c)Continious display (digital) A/V/HZ /kW/PF/kVA meters, d) kWhr Meter, e) Current Transformers, f) indicatiing lamps for supply ON and Load ON, g) instrument fuses,h) Earth fault Relay, i) controls for Alternator space heaters j) Aluminium Busbars

i) Accoustic and weather proof enclosure with CRCA sheet with High quality noise absorbant and fire -retardant grade acoustic insulation material( Rockwool) complying to IS8183.and arrangement for fresh air intake for cooling of the engine & alternator, extraction, discharging hot air in to the atmosphere as per standard specifications.The enclosure should specially designed to meet stringent MoEF/CPCB norms of 75dBA @1mtr at 75% load under free field condition.

AMF PANELS

Supplying,fabricating,installing,testing and Commissioning of automatic mains failure control including auto by pass panel,suitable for 500kVA silent type DG set complete with relays,timers,set of CTs for metering & protection and energy analyser to indicate currents, line and phase voltages, frequency,power factor, kWh, KVArh and provisions of over load, short circuit, restricted earth fault , under frequency and elsewhere required, all complete interlocking including the following( Also see the attached specification)

a) 3 Nos. 800 amps 4 pole MCCB.with Micro processor release & front operated handle (EB incomer/DG incomer/Load) cat Ref: L& T MTX2.0 DN4 -1250N 400-1000A or equivalent from the enclosed approved make

b) 2nos 800amps 4 Pole power contactors with 2NO and 2NC( EB/ DG) Cat Ref: L&T MCX 47 CS94291 or equivalent from the enclosed approved make

c)3 sets of current transformer 15 P 10 accuracy for protection and 15 VA class 1 for metering.

d) Energy analyser unit to indicate current voltage frequency power factor and kWH.

e) Indicating lamps for load on mains and load on set

f) fuse for instruments

h) NB 2 relay for AMF operation to facilitate the Main supply failure monitor and the following controls

j) Supply failure timer

k) Resoration timer

l) Control unit with three impulse automatic engine start/stop and failure to start lockout.

m) Impulse counter with locking and reset facility

ALLIED WORKS

Supplying and Laying of one number 2R x 4c x 2.5 sq.mm pvc insulated copper conductor control armoured UG cable of in suitable RCC/ HUME/ STONEWARE/ METAL pipe,as required as per site condition.

Supplying and laying of 3.5 core X 400 sq.mm Aluminium coductor pvc insulated and pvc sheathed armoured UG cable direct in ground including excavation,sand cushioning protective covering with bricks and refilling the trench etc as required.

Supplying and making end termination with brass compression cable gland and aluminium/copper lugs for following size of pvc and pvc sheathed/XLPE aluminiu/copper conductor cable of 1.1 kV grade s required.

4C x2.5 sq.mm copper conductor,pvc insulated armoured UG cable

Supplying and fixing exhaust gas piping of 150 mm dia. Welded black MS, B class pipe conforming to IS:3589 cut to required lengths and installed with necessary bends, supports and clamps, anti-vibration mountings, insulation of exhaust system with mineral wool/ Rockwool, 50mm thick wiremesh & aluminium cladding etc., as required as per specifications.

Earthing with copper earth plate 600mm X 600mm X 3mm thich including accessories, providing masonry enclosure with cover plate having locking arrangement and watering pipe etc. including charcoal or choke and salt complete as required.

Providing & fixing 25mmX5mm GI strip on surface or in recess for conenctions etc as required.

Providing & fixing 50 mmX6 mm GI strip on surface or in recess for conections etc as required.
