Supply & Fixing Air termination rod Aluminium of following sizes over existing RCC roof/AC sheet roof/GI sheet roof etc:-

(a) Dia 8mm Height 500mm

Notes: (i) Air Termination rod shall be grouted rigidly in PCC all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge (ii) PCC for grouting shall be measured and paid seperately under separate item (iii) Air Termination rod shall be connected with aluminium strip using Stainless steel Clamps complete with nuts, bolts & washers, gitty etc., (iv) Cost of stainless steel clamp is deemed to be included in the quoted rate. (v) Air terminations having height of 2500/3000mm shall be supported on all four sides with galvanised stay wire of suitable dia. And the rate quoted is deemed to be included the cost of stay wire arrangement.

M&L for Plain cement concrete type C1, 1:3:6 using 20mm graded stone aggregate in coping and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating including necessary formwork complete all as specified and as directed.

Roof Conductor M&L Aluminium strip 25 x 3.15mm including percelian insulator/saddle and fixing screws, gitty, lord glue etc. for fixing roof conductors properly above ground. Note: Roof conductor shall be secured at not more than 1.20 metre apart using Percelian insulators/saddles.

Down Conductor M&L Aluminium strip 25 x 3.15mm with percelian insulator holder and fixing screws, gitty, lord glue etc etc. for down conductors above ground. Note: Down conductor shall be secured at not more than 1 metre apart using Percelian insulators/saddles.

Earthing M&L Galvanised iron strip 32 x 6mm fixed on walls with saddle or buried in ground from test link to the earth pit. Note : Quoted rate includes bending, making hole into strip/wall, nuts, bolts, washers, saddles/insulators etc

M&L Single core PVC insulated copper flexible cable 50sqmm size drawn through PVC conduit of suitable dia fixed over wall using saddles, copper lugs, brass nut bolts etc

Notes:- (a) Testing approvals/certificates copy shall be submitted to Engr-in-Charge. (b) Quoted rate includes complete earth work, making good etc (c) ER value of Single Earth pit shall be less than 3 Ohm. In case of more than 3 Ohm, additional earthing pits shall be made and interconnected with GI strip free of cost to bring down ER value to less than 3 Ohm (d) Earthing Resistance Testing shall be carried out using calibrated Earth Tester. The contractor shall bring Earth tester alongwith valid calibration certificate. (e) Strip/conductor from Earth pit to equipment/test point shall be measured and paid seperately.

NOTES : Notes for item No. 7 and 8:- (i) Earthing is to be done in front of the Engineer-in-charge. (ii)Test results of earthing to be submitted by the contractor for all earthing pits. (iii) The contractor shall have to give written guarantee for maintaining earth resistance of less than 1 Ohm for a period of 5 (Five) years after certified date of completion and shall deposit Rs.1500/- per earthing pit as security deposit for a period of 5(Five) years. (iv) Failing to maintain resistance of earthing pit less than 1 Ohm, new earthing pit to be provided by the contractor without any extra cost. (v) Necessary earth work excavation shall be carried out in any type of soil strata, returning, filling in and making good the surrounding area complete.
