FIRE FIGHTING

Supply,laying, jointing and testing MS flanged Pipes heavy grade of size 100 mm dia with all fittings laid in floors or fixed to walls upto a height of six storey building including supporting/fixing clamps made from 50x6 mm size MS flat iron duly grouted in wall and ceilings etc incl jointing materials nuts/bolts/washers/gaskets etc complete all as specified and directed. Note - Pipe and clamps shall be painted with two coats of post office red enamelled paint over a coat of red oxide primer. Unit rate quoted shall be deemed to include the cost of the same and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

Cutting existing 80mm bore CI/GI water supply pipe line in any position for incertion of new Tee for taping new pipe line with existing complete all as specified and directed

Supply, installation, Commissioning and testing of silent diesel engine driven factory assembled, floor mounted, Generating set of capacity 100 KVA, 3 phase, 4 wire ,50 HZ,1500 RPM AMF (automatic on mains failure) type , complete with safety control and metering equipment, mounted on common base frame on new PCC foundation required at site and as recommended by manufacturer, all as specified and as directed comprising of the following:-

(A) Prime Mover directed coupled, diesel engine turbo charged water cooled suitably de-rated of matching BHP for driving 100 KVA capacity alternator electric start, four stroke,1500 RPM conforming to IS-10000 part- II, 1980, IS 10001/10002 for continuous running and capable for taking 10% overload for one hour complete.with the accessories :-

(xiii) LCD display type control panel as per manufacturer's instructions indicating KWH, KVA PF,Volts, Amps ,HZ ,RPM Hour, oil pressure,oil temperature, coolant, temperature, fuel level, battery charging, ammeter, battery charging lamp and indicator lamp (RYB), panel duly pre wired and displaying protection and safeties as under- (aa) Protection :- Short circuit, overlaod, over speed, earh fault as standard and reverse power as optional . (ab)Safeties:- Auto shut down,visual & audio alarm for low lub oil pressure, high coolant temperature, low fuel lavel, canopy temperature & radiator water lavel . (D) Acoustic encloser of suitable size to accommodate DG set 100 KVA, modular constuction, fabricated out of 3 mm thick, cold annealed CRCA sheet, duly epoxy painted, doors to be provided with high quality EDPN gasket, duly epoxy painted.The canopy to be equipped with heavy duty fans of reputed manufacturer for air circulation and cooling the canopy. Rock wool of requisite density per Kg M3 to be used for insulation. Enclosure to be provided with one light point controlled with one switch for internal lighting. Noise level at one metre to be 75 decibels@ one mtr in line as per CPCB norms . Note-:- (i)The engine of DG set shall be suitably conditioned to suit the climatic conditions of Chandigarh, so as to give desired outputs including and testing up to 10% over load. (ii) Foundation of the DG set (PCC/RCC) will be provided by the contractor and will be made as per the manufacturer's instructions. Cost of foundation is deemed to be included in the rate of this item. (iii) The items required for testing of DG set e.g. fuel, tripod, tools, water tank etc. and panel below, shall be provided by the contractor and the rate of which is deemed to be included in the rate of this item .Testing of DG set shall be carried out as specifed . FIRE RESISTANT DOOR

Providing and fixing fire resistant door frame of section 143 x 58 mm (+/- 3 mm) having built in rebate conforming to IS 277 (primed with Zinc-Phosphate Stoving Primer and finished with Polyurethane Aliphatic grade of epoxy paint) suitable for mounting 120 minutes fire rated door frame/shutters confirming to IS: 3614 (Pt-II) & BS 476 Part 20 & 22, tested and certified as per laboratory approved by Engineer-in-charge. The frame shall be filled with rockwool/ mineral wool insulation. The frame will have a provision of G.I. anchor fastener 14 Nos (5 each on vertical style & 04 on horizontal style of size M10 x 80) suitable for fixing in the opening alongwith factory made template for SS ball bearing hinges of size 102 x 76 x 3 mm of approved make for fixing of fire rated shutter. The door frame shall be finished with Polyurethane Aliphatic grade of epoxy paint over Zinc-Phosphate Stoving Primer powder coating of not less than 60 micron in desired shade as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge

Providing and fixing 46 mm thick Double leaf fire resistant door shutters (size of one leaf 600 mm x 2000 mm each) (overall size of door is 1200 x 2000 mm excluding frame) of 120 minutes fire rating confirming to IS: 3614 (Pt-II) & BS 476 Part 20 & 22, tested and certified as per laboratory approved by Engineer-in-charge, with suitable mounting on door shutters, made out of 1.2 mm (18 SWG) thick G.I. sheet conforming to IS 277 (primed with Zinc-Phosphate Stoving Primer and finished with Polyurethane Aliphatic grade of epoxy paint) duly filled with rockwool/ mineral wool insulation. The one double leaf door shutter also provided with 1 No Mortice sash lock with lever handles, mortice ead bolt, mortice latch, Panic etc & 02 Nos concealed extended lever action flush bolts and 02 Nos Door closer provided on each leaf. The door also provided with 5 mm thick clear/wired glass of size 200 mm x 300 mm. The door shall be finished with Polyurethane Alipatic grade of epoxy paint over Zinc-Phosphate Stoving primer powder coating of not less than 60 micron in desired shade as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge”. (Make of lock/bolts/closer: Geze/Hettich/Dorma/Kich etc) Note :- The design for fire extinguishing/fighting system has been specified in respective items of tender & BOQ. The complete work of fire extinguishing/fighting system shall be got executed through a specilist agency having valid licence/certified by any Govt department for the purpose of fire prevention and fire fighting equipment manufacturing/execution. This work shall be commenced after approval of the firm by the Garrison Engineer.

Note: The Total amount shall subject to deduction of credit of Rs. 10177.00 for old Materials as per Schedule of Credit
