REPAIR/MAINTENANCE OF STREET LIGHTS, HIGH MAST LIGHTS, PERIMETER LIGHTING, HIGH BAY/FLOOD LIGHTS, AND LIGHTENING PROTECTION SYSTEM AND CONNECTED ITEMS OF DRDL, ASL, NGARM AND QRSAM AREA UNDER GE (I) RND KANCHANBAGH, HYDERABAD

Repair / maintenance of street / security/Flame proof lights any type, flood lights, post top lanterns or any other external lights in its position fixed on pole / high mast / building structure or by taking down to ground, if required, testing all the components / parts, wiring etc, identifying and replacing the defective components like, electronic driver (in case of LED lights), connector, connection wires/ cable, MCB etc including refixing the fitting to its original position (if taken down), including repair / maint of street light control timer & junction box all as directed by Engr-in-charge . Note: (i) The rate against the above mentioned item is deemed for cost of labour and allied expenses only. (ii) Spares such as, electronic driver, connector, connection wire, MCB, timer spares etc) replaced against above mentioned item will be measured & paid for separately under respective items of BOQ here-in-below.

(iii) The contractor's representative will report to concerned JE E/M at 0900hrs daily to collect the list of defective lights fittings and will submit the completion report as per complaints received on the same day before 1730hrs to the JE E/M. (iv) The contractor has to rectify the defects / repair and make the street light functional within 24 hours from the time the list of defective street lights is handed over to him / his rep by the concerned JE E/M. In case the street light is not made functional for whatsoever reason within the specified time limit, an amount of Rs 150/- per such defective street light per day will be recovered from the amount due to him through RAR / Final Bill. The contractor shall carry out repair / maint work simultaneously for different areas by engaging separate team of electricians / technicians for DRDL/ASL/PCDA/MES QUARTERS area in order to ensure prompt & timely rectification of defects.(v) Contractor shall arrange requisite and cost sufficient number of transport and vehicle mounted hydraulic ladder at his own cost wherever required.

(vi) The contractor shall maintain proper record of repair / maintenance in a binded register duly bringing out the details of spares replaced on each and every street light and get it authenticated from concerned JE E/M on daily basis. The contractor shall put up the maintenance record register to Engineer-in-charge for inspection on every Monday or as and when asked for.(vii) The contractor shall be fully responsible for the safety of his men engaged for executing this work and he will provide all requisite safety equipments and department shall not be responsible for any kind of mishap / accident / injury to his men.(viii) The contractor shall maintain sufficient stock of spares / material required for repair / maintenance of street lights with the concerned JE E/M against the supply only items here-in-below.

Re-stringing, tightening and fixing in position, the existing OH ACSR conductor LT Line phase with neutral and earth wire 230V, 2/3 wire by loosening and taking down existing binding wire from the insulator of any size of ACSR conductor and bringing it to required sag including provision of new binding wire and tightening of cross arms on each pole and required trimming of tree branches Note: 1.Span length (any No of wires)of conductor shall be measured in running meter unit. 2.Unit rate quoted by the contractor shall be deemed to include for cutting and trimming branches of the trees coming in contact with ACSR conductor and separators as directed.

Cutting/ trimming / punning tree branches overhanging or interfering or obstructing electrical pole or street lights in such a way that the clearance between Street light pole and tree branches should not be less than 3 mtrs around the Pole/Fitting complete all as directed. (Note: Quoted rate is deemed to include necessary hydraulic ladder arrangement and tree cutting machine and tools required at site.)

M&L for scrapping down and removing of old deteriorated paint from steel tubular poles LT preparing surface for painting and applying black & yellow paint strips of 30 cms each upto 1.5 m above the PCC and applying one coat of red oxide and two coats of aluminium paint for the remaining height of pole including MS clamps, GI bracket, fittings etc and marking of pole No, 2m above the PCC muff, letter shall not be more than 6 cm height with 16 cm dia circle around the marked No. complete all as directed. Note : Quoted rate is deemed to include removal of any type of boards, direction plates etc and refixing the same after painting

S&F in repairs automatic timer switch distribution board, factory assembled in powder coated sheet steel enclosure, single Phase, suitable for 6KW load, comprising of 32 Amps, 3 Pole, MCB SPN, 40A power contactor and 230V digital timer switch for controlling street lights outdoor type, including angle iron base and stand for fixing the panel with suitable PCC foundation as per site requirement .

S&F in repairs automatic timer switch distribution board, factory assembled in powder coated sheet steel enclosure, suitable for 12KW load single phase comprising of 65 Amps SP MCB, 63A power contactor and 230V digital timer switch for controlling street lights, including angle iron base and stand for fixing the panel with suitable PCC foundation as per site requirement . Note:- Rate quoted shall be inclusive of necessary excavation & earth work and PCC foundation.

S&F in repairs SMC junction boxes (weather proof) IP 66, on street light poles made out of thermoplastic of size not less than 195 mmx 135 mmx 90 mm size with connector for connecting incoming and outgoing of cable including provision of 01 No of MCB SP 06 Amps to control the pole light circuit and MS brackets made out of 32 x 4 mm flat for fixing the box on post complete with nuts, bolts and washers and suitable size of double compression cable glands for incoming, outgoing of cable Complete all as directed.

Excavating in trenches, not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exceeding 1.5 m in depth for laying of cables and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as directed.

Removing excavated surplus soil obtained from excavation to a distance not exceeding 1.5 m above the starting point, complete all as specified.

Supply and laying in repairs corrugated HDPE pipe of 40mm dia for cable protection confirming IS-14930 1 & 2 , in trenches or fixing to the pole with necessary accessories complete all as directed.

S&F in repair light grade GI pipe bracket of 40/32mm dia, 1.2mtr long, bent to shape for street light fitting fixed on pole using new 2 Nos FI clamps, nuts, bolts and washers complete all as directed.

M& L for repair of highmast lights by taking down the light assembly by motor operation or mannually, taking out defective parts and fixing the highmast light in its original position after repairing all as directed by Engineer in charge Note : defective cabel, wire and lights will be measured and paid separately in relevant items of work.

Earthing with GI plate electrode 600x 600x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground vertically to a depth not less than 2.25 mtr deep below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate, not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level connected to GI wire of size 4 mm by means of bolts, nuts/check nuts and washers etc of galvanised iron, protected by 15 mm dia galvanised iron pipe, light grade upto a length of 7.5 mtr away from earth electrode and connected to main switch/control board including necessary excavation earth work in any type of soil and PCC 1:3:6 type C1 for earth chamber, 40 mm thick RCC cover slab 1:2:4 type B1 with 8 mm dia TMT Bars at 140 mm c/c both ways,GI funnel, wire mesh, lugs, charcoal and salt etc complete all as shown in Electrical plate No. 3 of SSR Part I and testing complete including removing unserviceable earthing material complete all as directed. Note : GI earth wire beyond 7.5 metres will be measured and paid separately.

S&F in repairs galvanised steel earth wire of 4mm dia on the over head LT pole with the help of aluminium tapes/ binding wire and necessary clamps for fixing the earth wire, providing the required sag for avoiding tension in earth wire complete all as directed.

S&F in repairs cable jointing kit for straight through joint (epoxy) for 1.1 KV grade suitable for 3.5 coreXLPE, PVC insulated and sheathed aluminium conductor under ground cable including thimbles, nuts & bolts, washers etc and testing after jointing complete, all as directed upto 50 sqmm size.
