Removing of existing surplus earth, rubbish and garbage through the lorry / truck including loading, unloading and transporting to out side the IITM premises including approval from local authorities like municipality/corporation complete as per the direction of Engineer in charge. Necessary deduction for voids @ of 20% will be made from the actual measured volume of rubbish.

Hire charges for engaging Tipper lorry for intercarting the available earth accumulated over to the venue from IIT Madras etc as directed by Engineer in charge. The rate including hire charges for Tipper, diesel, Driver bata etc., complete.

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and for all lift, as directed by Engineer-in-charge. All kinds of soil.

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) / manual means in foundation trenches or drains (not exceeding 1.5 m in width or 10 sqm on plan), including dressing of sides and ramming of bottoms, lift upto 1.5 m, including getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated soil as directed, within a lead of 50 m. All kinds of soil.

Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.

Supplying and filling in plinth with sand under floors, including watering, ramming, consolidating and dressing complete.

Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form for : Foundations, footings, bases of columns, etc. for mass concrete

Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:4:8 (1 Cement : 4 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 8 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size derived from natural sources)

Fabrication and manufacturing of solid precast concrete element with provisions of shear keys, connecting loops, dowel tubes and proper lifting accessories for walls, beams, slabs, stairs, column etc, of various thickness, shape and size of different concrete grades manufactured in controlled factory environment with approved methodology including moulds (Pallet system, Tilts form, table moulds, battery moulds, vertical moulds, beam moulds, column moulds, staircase moulds, Facade mould, etc.), mixing, transporting and placing of concrete, vibrating, curing, finishing, making necessary cutout/holes of required sizes for services, yard handling & stacking all complete as per IS 11447:1985 and as per approved shop drawings and design mix as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge (Cost of reinforcement, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing inserts will be paid separately) .Concrete grade M-35 (Cement content 380 kgs).Boundary wall panels to have IITM logo engraved with 12mm thickness as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. The rate includes transportation of panels from factory to site, loading and unloading, Erection & Installation of Precast/Prestressed Concrete elements in correct & final position with proper line level and plumb at site making all arrangements (i.e cranes, push-pull jacks & all another T & P for lifting Placing & Alignment of elements, within erection tolerance as per IS 15916, slim pads etc.

Providing & Grouting of dowel tubes / Shear keys / Joints of precast members with M-60 grade cementitious grout (Non Shrink) of approved make by suitable means (Free flowing / pump), curing etc. Complete as per directions ofEngineer-incharge. (The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of approved grout injected.) Stirrer mixed cementitious grout (non shrink) of approved make in dowel tubes / Shear keys / Joints of precast members.

Providing and laying of brick jelly concrete for sunken portion of laid to fully 25 mm nominal size brick jelly Concrete 1:2:4 ( 1Cement : 2 sand : 4 Brick jelly) including material and labour charges etc complete.

Providing and laying in position of RCC of grade M35 Concrete for walls and floors, columns, beams and slabs excluding cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement, including admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate, retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability etc complete at all levels as per the direction of Engineer in charge. (minimum cement content 380 kg/cum + fly ash as per IS 456).

Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete upto fifth floor. Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500D or more.

Brick work with Fly ash solid concrete blocks of class designation M10 grade at all levels Cement mortar 1:4 (1cement :4 coarse sand / M sand)

Structural galvanised steel work riveted, bolted or welded in built up sections, trusses and framed work, including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved steel primer all complete.

Providing and fixing CNC cut 3 mm thick GI sheet on the channels (The pattern and color shall be provided by the Engineer-in-Charge during execution of work) The weight of sheet shall not be less than 23.55 Kg/Sqm

Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade. Two or more coats on new work and over an under suitable shade with ordinary paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade

Exterior painting: (Fresh work including complete scraping / surface preparation, as appropriate base (primer) coat and top two or more coats). Applying exterior paint of approved colour, make, brand and product at the approved rate of surface coverage of painting (As per Annexure A.1.1). The exterior paint shall be applied over dry surface after complete scraping and removal of all loose or defective paint or powdery residue using mechanical methods with Zero dust vaccum technology followed with High pressure Jet washing and sealing the surface with necessary exterior base coat or primer before application of top coat of exterior paint. The contractor shall also carryout necessary surface preparation including removal of loose plastering, patch plastering, crack filling, micro-concreting, application of damp proof coating and making good the wall surface etc wherever required before applying base or primer coat. The contractor should ensure complete covering of floors using tarpaulin / plastic sheet while taking up the work. The work shall be executed as per the detailed specifications and special conditions mentioned in the Annexure 1. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of charges towards all labour, material, transport, scaffolding, safety arrangements, Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), tools and plants etc but excluding the cost of waterproofing, attending to leakages and major civil repair works if any. The Paint manufacturer shall inspect the work in every stage, submit inspection / field test report, certify the product / application and give 10 year Guarantee

Interior painting: (two or more coats over a primer coat including complete scraping, other surface preparation like removal of loose paint residuals, damaged plastering, repairs to plaster, white cement based (JK / Birla) touch up putty / primer and making good the wall surface etc) Applying interior paint of approved colour, make, brand and product at the approved rate of surface coverage of painting as per Annexure A.1.3. Supplying and fixing FRP tank made using randomly packed glass fibre reinforcement of required capacity using Drinking water potability polyester Food Grade Resin(inner Layer ) as the matrix. The outer layer of the tank should be Laminated with Ultra Violet Stabilised polyester resin as the binding fiber matrix. The wall thickness and the physical properties of tank should confirm BS 4994:1987 standards. Wall Thickness minimum 4.0mm. Necessary test certificate should be submitted by the manufacture for leak proof test conducted as per BS 4994:1987. Supplying and spraying single component Polyurethane (PU) water proofing coating (MC-HYPERDESMO / MARISEAL-250 or equivalent) which cures with the atmosphere humidity.
