REPAIRING TO RUNWAY, TAXI TRACK, MAIN DISPERSAL, JOINT FILLING AND CRACK REPAIR AT AF STATION GORAKHPUR

Material and Labour for preparation of old painted concrete/bitumen surfaces with washing down soap water of runway, taxi track road for painting with cold retro-reflective paint including spreading of 500micron size glass beads (350gms/Sqm) by using mechanical mode of application as lines, dashes, arrows, letters applying one coat of runway road marking paint aqua based retroreflective type golden, yellow, black, orange or white colour as approved by Garrison Engineer to give uniform finish complete all as specified and directed. Make: Asian Paint Apcotrak-WBR or equivalent Note :- (i) Masking tape/ steel/ wooden frame or template should be used on edges of paints before painting work and removed the masking tape after paint is applied where ever required and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The contractor has to ensure that, the lines, dashes etc marked with paint shall be in proper shape and finish as required. Any errorneous marking shall be make good by the contractor on his own cost and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

M&L for preparing of existing concrete surfaces / plastered / unplastered surface of wall and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint in red and white with alternate square/ rectangular panel in runway / link / dispersal / PQC/ side wall area all as directed by Engineer-in Charge.

M&L for one coat of black synthetic enamel paint on three sides of DTGM (1.20 x 1.50 Mtr) installed in airfield area consisiting of black synthetic enamel paint background and red colour high intensity retro reflective tape numerical/alphabet letter (150mm width and 1000mm height) on two sides complete all as specified and directed.

Cutting of existing Runway/taxi tracks at cracks and at spalled edges mechanical tools making groove at edges cleaning through air blower/air blastisng and applying propriety primer on the cleaned surfaces to obtain tack and finally filling in ELASTOMERIC CONCERETE of make Choksey Chemicals/CIPY/BASF or equivalent (prepared by mixing part A, part B and adding fiberglass sand all as per manufactureres instructions) and properly mixing in purpose made mixer plant electrically operated) to obtain a homogeneous mix and finally tooling the surface with hand tools to obtain a grooved textured finish. Note: (i) The rate shall include for providing masking tape at joints and form work required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to include for making good the disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall only be procured directly from manufacturer.

Supplying, and fix in repair visible retro-reflective sign boards of made from 3 mm thick engineering grade plastic (acrylic sheet) having monolithic structure to withstand temprature variations from cold environment to sweltering hot conditions and to withstand high velocity winds frmaed and braced with 50 mm dia PVC pipe best quality to with stand high ground level with best quality structure including fixing of the same in existing post hole as required, including providing / applying weather resistance coating, providing and pasting of new numerals/alpahbets with retro reflective tape cutting it as computer plotter etc complete all as specified and directed by Garrison Engineer/ Engr-in-Charge.

Material and Labour for preparing of existing expansion joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 20 to 25 mm wide and 30 mm deep including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before placing the filler board and pouring the sealant. Thereafter filled with pre-molded 25 mm thick compressible polyethylene closed cell type filler board if required , over it filled with closed cell medium density, cross linked polyethylene foam backup rod of 30 mm dia for complete length of the joint.and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 13mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 ( for hydrolysis / water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF± 30 % (with Ten years performance guarantee ) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Material obtained from removing of existing filled up materials shall be removed from out side MOD land.

Material and Labour for preparing of existing construction joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 12-18 mm wide and 20 mm deep including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pouring the sealant and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 13mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 ( for hydrolysis / water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF± 30 % (with Ten years performance guarantee ) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed. Application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minutes before pouring the sealant and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 13mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 ( for hydrolysis / water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF± 30 % (with Ten years performance guarantee ) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed. Cutting of grass, bush, weeds/ vegetation by using mechanical means like tractor with Straw Reeper alongwith grass Collecting trolley and cutting 50 mm to 100 mm or above Straw Reeper where ever required including collecting the grass through mechanical tools like grass collecing Trolley and removing material obtain from cutting/cleaning (both side) up to 100m from the concrete edges. Size of Straw Reeper attached with tractor and Trolley shall be 5-6 feet, complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (i) Contractor will arrange his own mechanical straw reeper (set of one tractor with Straw Reeper alongwith grass Collecting trolley) with POL & MT driver. (ii) The quoted rate by contractor is including of all T&P, POL and operator mentioned above. (iii). On requirement contractor shall arrange more than one tractor with Straw Reeper alongwith grass Collecting trolley per day as per order and T&P should not be more than 5 year vintage. Also T&P should be at par with AirForce Requirement, if not the same can be modified to meet the requirement of the Stn.
