PART-I: MAINTENANACE & OPERATION OF INSTALLATIONS

Day to day maintenance and operation of LT electric supply system, DG sets, Pump house and water supply installations in three shifts of 08 hours each for all working days including Sundays & Holidays at CDA Chennai by employing one electrician in each shift (Total 03 electricians per day) and one pump operator in each shift (Total 02 pump operators per day) as mentioned below for entire system comprising of attending LT electrical faults/ complaints and pump house complaints including maintenance of necessary records and documents etc. complete all as specified and directed. (a) Man Power to be employed: (i) Electrician-03 Nos (01 Electrician per shift for three shifts). (ii) Pump Operator - 02 Nos. (01 Operator per shift for First and Second shift). (b) Shift timings for electricians shall be as under:- 1st shift : 0600 hrs to 14.00 hrs 2nd Shift : 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs 3rd Shift : 2200 hrs to 0600 hrs (c) Shift timings for pump operators shall be as under:- 1st shift : 0600 hrs to 14.00 hrs 2nd Shift : 1400 hrs to 2200 hrs.

PART-II: REPAIRS TO EXTERNAL ELECTRIFICATION AND WATER SUPPLY Excavating in trenches not exceeding 1.5 meter wide and n. exc. 1.5 meter in depth for foundation for erection of poles, stays, laying pipes, cables, stays etc., and getting out in soft/ loose soil all as specified and directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers not exceeding 25 cm in soft/ loose soil all as specified and directed.

Removing surplus excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50m and depositing where directed at a level n. exc. 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, lay/ spread in trenches clean M-Sand to required width and depth at bottom and top of cable including spreading, levelling, punning for laying/ cushioning of cable all as specified and as directed. Note: Punned thickness only will be payed.

Supply and laying burnt bricks, old size, sub class 'B', laid flat adjacent to each other, perpendicular to cable with width equal to length in trenches for protection of cable all as specified and as directed.

Supply and lay GI tube light grade 20mm bore with all fittings laid in trenches/ floor for cable protection and for drawing earth strip/ earth lead wire etc., complete including taking down old pipe complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Excavation and earth work required shall be measured and paid separately.

All as per item No. 7.00 above but 25mm bore complete all as specified and directed

All as per item No. 7.00 above but 40mm bore complete all as specified and directed

All as per item No. 7.00 above but 50mm bore complete all as specified and directed

Supply and lay GI tube medium grade 20mm bore with all fittings laid in trenches/ floor for cable protection and for drawing earth strip/ earth lead wire etc., complete including taking down old pipe complete all as specified and as directed. Note: Excavation and earth work required shall be measured and paid separately.

All as per item No. 11.00 above 25mm dia complete all as specified and directed

All as per item No. 11.00 above but 40mm dia complete all as specified and directed

Supply and fix in repairs 20mm bore PTMT ball valve with epoxy coated aluminium rod weight not less than 210 gms, high pressure with polyethylene high density float and screwed for iron pipe complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling inlet and outlet pipe, disconnecting electrical connection, taking out complete electric driven Centrifugal/ mono block pump set of capacity upto 7.5 HP, 3 phase, 415 volts, 50Hz of make Kirloskar/ Crompton/ Jyoti/ Suguna with suction and delivery lines of any size, shifting to civil workshop for carrying out repair/ overhauling including replacement of worn-out spares, bringing back after repair, refixing, testing, commissioning etc., complete all as directed. Note: Supply only of spares shall be measured and paid separately.

M & L cutting and taking out burnt/ unserviceable winding coils, cleaning of slots and rewinding with correct size/ gauge super enamelled insulated copper wire including providing proper class of insulating, varnishing, drying, re-assembling etc., for 7.5 HP electric motor complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only following spares for electric driven pump set of capacity up to 7.5HP capacity:-

Ball bearings (drive end/ non drive end).

Terminal Box.

Terminal connector 3 phase

Electro dynamically balanced bronze impeller.

Gun metal bush

Gland cup with bolts and nuts.

Flange drilled of suitable size with bolts and nuts including rubber gasket.

Cleaning of underground water storage sump of capacity 25,000 litres having one compartment by specialized water tank clean process as under:- (a) Dewatering using submersible pump/ bailing out of water to dispose the minimum level of dirty water from the tank. (b) Cleaning the tank/ UG sump bottom, walls and ceiling using high pressure water jet to dislodge the algae calcinations, dirt etc. (c) Disposing the dirt water sludge etc. using specially designed sludge removal pump. (d) Cleaning the tank inside thoroughly by using industrial grade vacuum pump to make the tank inside free from dirt, algae and sludge etc. (e) Treating the inside walls, bottom, ceiling of tank including all nooks and corners by using and spraying anti bacterial agent such as Hydrogen peroxide (bio degradable) for disinfection of tank inside. (f) Total disinfection and sterilisation of tank hygienically cleaned and bacteria free, Eco-Friendly and safe for storage of water.

M&L for testing of water sample for physical and chemical examination full test from TWADA/ Govt. approved laboratory complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only high strength calcium based granular chlorination chemical (Grade I) in 45kg packing of specification, whitish granules, granular size (Mesh passing through-100BSS), 1.1 (± 0.1%), other insoluble calcium salts 1.1 (± 0.1%), requirement must be 140grams to 200grams per lakh litre of water to achieve 1 Parts per million at injection point.

M&L construction of brick masonry valve pit chamber of inner dimension 1000mm x 1000mm x 750mm suitable for valves upto 200mm size including 150mm thick PCC (1:4:8) type D-2 for foundation, brick work in cement mortar (1:6), 15mm thick internal rendering in cement mortar (1:4) mixed with water proofing compound, 50mm thick coping in PCC (1:2:4) type B-1, including necessary excavation and earth work and provision of MS sheet cover of thickness not less than 2.80mm on 50mm x 50mm x 6.0mm angle iron frame with locking arrangement, including painting MS surfaces with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer including demolition of old damaged valve pit complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for fabrication and replacement of cover for valve pit of inner dimensions 1000mm x 1000mm. Fabricated out of ms sheet of thickness 2.00mm with frame fabricated out of 50mm x50mm x 6.0mm thick angle iron with locking arrangement including painting MS surfaces with two coats of sysnthetic enamel paint over one coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repairs 20mm dia stop valve cast copper alloy, screwed down, high pressure with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed both ends for iron pipe or for union complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs 25mm dia stop valve cast copper alloy, screwed down, high pressure with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed both ends for iron pipe or for union complete all as specified and directed.

S&F in repairs 40mm dia stop valve cast copper alloy, screwed down, high pressure with crutch or butterfly handle, screwed both ends for iron pipe or for union complete all as specified and directed.

Detection of leakage in water main by carrying out necessary excavation in any type of soil, in any situation including bailing out leakage water by suitable measures, repair to GI pipe of size upto 50mm dia by cutting threading, for addition & alternation and for insertion of fittings etc. all as required at site complete as directed.

Taking out the existing PVC/XLPE, 1100 volts grade, LT UG electric cable of size 70 sqmm 3.5 core with glands, cable protection pipes, cable route indicator etc., complete from the trenches/fixed on wall (or) passing through pipes/in floor Note:- Excavation and Earth work shall be measured and paid separately under appropriate items:-

All as per item No 27 above but 35 sqmm 3.5 core complete all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 27 above but 10 sqmm x 4 core complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and lay in trenches/ drawn through pipes or in road crossings/ paths/ drains/ ducts/ floors/ along poles etc. of LT cable underground, XLPE insulated, screened, PVC bedded, galvanised strip or wire armoured, heavy duty electric cable with aluminium conductor, 1100 volts grade of cross sectional area 70 Sqmm 3½ core including connecting up using suitable size aluminium lugs testing and commissioning all as specified and directed.

All as per item No 30 above but 35 sqmm 3.5 core complete all as specified and directed.

Taking out any size of MCCB four pole, adjustable TM range, 200 Amps, 415 volts of breaking capacity 36kA F3 frame including taking down the existing MCCB complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, fix, connecting and testing MCCB four pole, adjustable TM range, 200 Amps, 415 volts of breaking capacity 36kA F3 frame including taking down the existing MCCB complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, fix, connecting and testing MCCB four pole, adjustable TM range, 160 Amps, 415 volts of breaking capacity 36kA including taking down the existing MCCB complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply, fix, connecting and testing MCCB four pole,fixed type, 100 Amps, 415 volts of breaking capacity 16kA including taking down the existing MCCB complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix junction box made out of one piece mould SMC base SMC door with hinged cover suitable for and including provision of 10mm thick hylam sheet connector block for incoming and outgoing cable for connecting with bolts and nuts including provn of one cut out 16 Amps with neutral link for street light fixed on steel/ RCC poles with suitable clamps made out 15mm x 6mm flat iron, bolts, nuts and washers etc., complete all as specified and as directed including taking down the old unserviceable junction box.

Supply and fix on pole/ wall GI pipe bracket made out of 40 mm bore light grade GI pipe 1.20m long bent to shape and fixed on pole/ wall with 2 Nos MS clamps made out 25 x 3mm flat Iron including bolts, nuts and washers etc., complete all as specified and as directed including taking down the old unserviceable GI Bracket.

Taking out LED street light luminaires, outdoor type any size complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing LED street light luminaires, outdoor type 45 Watts new generation energy saving and environmental friendly long life made up of pressure die cast aluminium housing with high power LEDs as light source and lens embedded PC cover with IP66 protection and impact resistance of IK07 suitable for operation on AC single phase 220-240 Volt, 50 Hz supply all as per Cat No. LSTS-45-CDL-M of Crompton or equivalent of other specified makes including provision of two single core 2.5Sqmm copper conductor, PVC insulated, 1100 volts cable not less than 8 metre long etc., connecting from junction boxes of poles including taking down the old fitting complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing LED street light luminaires, outdoor type 25 watts energy saving and environmental friendly long life LED street light made up of pressure die cast aluminium housing with high power LEDs as light source and lens embedded PC cover with IP66 protection and impact resistance of IK07 suitable for operation on AC single phase 220-240 volt, 50 Hz supply all as per Cat No.LSTS-25-CDL-M of Crompton or equivalent of other specified makes including provision of two single core 2.5 Sqmm copper conductor, PVC insulated, 1100 volts cable not less than 8 metre long etc., connecting from junction boxes of poles including taking down the old fitting complete all as specified and directed.

S&F LED high mast light fitting luminaire outdoor type 200 watts new generation energy saving and environment friendly long life versatile pressure die cast aluminium IP66 roadway luminaire with high power LEDs as high light source and electronic driver suitable for operation on AC single phase 220-240 volts, 50 Hz supply, including provision of two single core 4 sqmm copper conductor PVC insulated, 1100 volts cable not less than 8 metre long and making connection from junction box of pole including taking down old fitting complete all as specified and directed. Make: Crompton Cat Part No.LFLN-200-WW/60-M or equivalent of other specified makes.

PART-III: REPAIRS TO INTERNAL ELECTRIFICATION Taking down carefully copper/aluminium point wiring (light, fan, socket or power) complete, (fittings such as switches, ceiling roses, pendants, regulators sockets etc. to be measured separately), removing materials to store for keeping in safe custody for reuse at site and making good disturbed surfaces of walls, floors, etc.

M&L point wiring complete with 1.5sqmm (nominal area) PVC insulated unsheathed multistranded, (for Phase and Neutral) copper conductor FR & LS grade cable of 1100V grade conforming to IS-694 drawn through PVC Conduit including accessories fixed on concealed wiring and fixed on ceiling/ roof etc. including pressed steel terminal boxes 1.6mm thick, concealed in walls with plastic laminated sheet cover 3mm thick as top cover fixed with cadmium plated screws for housing the switch sockets, outlets, fan regulator etc including provn of 1.5 sqmm PVC insulated unsheathed copper conductor cable of green colour for earth continuity and connecting to common earth dolly complete all as specified and as directed for:-

Supply, fix, connecting and testing MCB SPN, 32 Amps, 240 volts of rupturing capacity 10kA, C curve type including taking down the existing one complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down submain wiring any size complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for submain wiring complete with two runs of 6.0 Sqmm single core, multistranded, FR PVC insulated unsheathed cable 1100 volts grade with copper conductor, drawn through aind including PVC casing & capping with necessary accessories fixed on wall/ floor/ ceiling with one run of 6.0 Sqmm PVC insulated unsheathed copper conductor cable as earth continuity conductor and connecting to common earth dolly including taking down existing submain wiring with casing & capping complete all as specified. Note: Two runs of 6.0 sqmm multistranded cable and one run of 6.0 sqmm single core cable as earth continuity conductor alongwith PVC casing & capping will be measured as one unit length.

M&L for submain wiring complete with two runs of 4.0 Sqmm single core, multistranded, FR PVC insulated unsheathed cable 1100 volts grade with copper conductor, drawn through aind including PVC casing & capping with necessary accessories fixed on wall/ floor/ ceiling with one run of 4.0 Sqmm PVC insulated unsheathed copper conductor cable as earth continuity conductor and connecting to common earth dolly including taking down existing submain wiring with casing & capping complete all as specified. Note: Two runs of 4.0 sqmm multistranded cable and one run of 4.0 sqmm single core cable as earth continuity conductor alongwith PVC casing & capping will be measured as one unit length.

Taking down any light fitting any size complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix 20 W LED light fitting basic all purpose and wall mounted LED batten with polycarbonate housing and integrated electronic driver including 20 watts LED tube light all as per Cat No.CCS-103-20-65-SL-DP-NWH of Crompton or equivalent of other specified makes fixed to wall complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix 10 W LED light fitting basic all purpose and wall mounted LED batten with polycarbonate housing and integrated electronic driver including 9 watts LED tube light all as per Cat No. .CCS-103-10-65-SL-DP-NWH of Crompton or equivalent of other specified makes fixed to wall complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fix environmental friendly, new generation, aesthetically designed, ultra modern recess mounting luminaire with high brightness SMD LEDs as light source, suitable for Armstrong/ Grid ceiling 36 W LEDs all as per Cat No.LCTLRF7-36-CDL of Crompton or equivalent of other specified makes fixed to ceiling complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F LED gate light 15 watt energy saving, environmental friendly, long life aesthetically designed with symmetrical light distribution, spun aluminium landscape luminaire with high power LED as light source complete all as specified and directed. Make: Havells Cat No. CORALMINIPT15WLED757PSYMTOPC or equivalent of other specified makes.

Supply and fix 9 Watt LED bulb including taking down the old lamp complete all as specified and as directed.

Taking down carefully, dismantling and opening the following fans of any size/ any make good after disconnecting the electric connection for attending repairs, overhauling by opening up, cleaning, oiling/ lubricating/ greasing, replacement of worn out parts such as bearing/ bushes, MS clamps/ brackets, nuts, bolts and washers etc., reassembling, refixing and re-connecting the fans to ceiling rose/ connector complete all as directed. Notes: (i) Supply only of spares and painting will be measured separately. (ii) Servicing like cleaning, application of lubricant oil/ grease, replacement of pins, nuts, bolts etc is deemed to be included in the quoted rates.

Supply only steel shaft for the motor suitable for any make of fans/ sweep/ type including taking down complete all as specified and directed.

Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode of size 600mm x 600mm, 6.0mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, earth plate connected to galvanized iron earth wire of 4mm dia as earthing conductor by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of MES SSR part I (2009) connected to earth test point/ main switch/ DB/ Panel board all as specified or indicated including testing on completion with and including 15mm bore light grade GI protection pipe 7.5 metre long for earth strip including PCC 1:3:6, type C1 pit with precast RCC 1:2:4, type B -1 cover, 40mm thick reinforced with 12mm dia MS bars @ 150 mm c/c both ways with lifting hooks made out of 12mm dia MS bars, wire mesh funnel with watering pipe 20mm dia light grade, common salt, charcoal filling in layers as specified, necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

PART-IV: REPAIRS TO DG SETS Comprehensive maintenance of DG set of capacity 200 KVA installed at CDA Complex including servicing / overhauling and repair with replacement of unserviceable spare parts / defective components and attending once in a month to under mentioned Jobs to ensure its satisfactory performance all as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. (a) Checking the fan belt and adjusting tension. (b) Checking the fuel and oil filter ascertaining its condition and cleaning. (c) Checking the air filter and its oil level cleaning the oil filter. (d) Checking the FIP performance and oil level. (e) Checking the tappet clearance and maintaining the valve distance. (f) Checking the fuel pump timing and adjusting if required. (g) Tightening base bolts and nuts and mounting bolts and nuts. (h) Checking the coupling bolts and adjustment, checking the self starter and Dynamo. (j) Checking the battery distilled water levels and topping up to the required level. (k) Checking of carbon brushes, engine oil including draining out old oil and refilling with fresh engine oil. (l) Checking the loose connection if any in the panel board and tightening the same. (m) Checking the anti vibration mounting adjusting the bolt. (n) Checking the oil cooler and pipe.

Notes for item No. 95.00 to 97.00: (i) Replacement of fuel and oil filter will be measured and paid separately. (ii) Supply only spares will be measured and paid separately. However, labour for fixing spares is deemed to be included in quoted rate of this item. (iii) Engine oil, fuel and water will be issued by the department as free for testing.

All as per item No. 95.00 above but DG set of capacity 40 KVA installed at CDA Complex including additional task of checking the radiator and radiator hose and arresting leak if any all as specified and as directed.

Supply only 1.50Sqmm PVC insulated unsheathed multistranded copper conductor control cable all as specified and directed.

Supply and fixing 2.50Sqmm PVC insulated unsheathed multistranded copper conductor control cable all as specified and directed.

Supply only oil pressure switch.

Supply only starting push button

Supply only radiator for 200/40/15 KVA DG set.

Supply only water pump assembly kit for 200KVA DG set all as specified and directed.

Supply only battery terminal leads 3.00m long to start diesel engine provided with brass connector on one end and cable lugs on other end complete all as specified and directed.

Supply only fan belt for various DG sets all as specified and directed.

Supply only engine oil in DG sets all as specified and directed.

M&L for scrapping, removal of rust and complete removal of existing painting, cleaning and applying spray painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide to DG Set of capacity 200 KVA with apple green tint for Engine, smoke grey tint for alternator, black for foundation/ base frame and Red for all guards including writing of SM/MES Number on Engine and Alternator all as specified and as directed.

All as per item No. 115 herein before but to DG Set of capacity 40KVA.

Dismantling the old damaged/ unserviceable exhaust pipe glading of DG sets and supply and fix new exhaust pipe glading work with glass wool cover and iron mesh and the outer portion covered with aluminium sheet etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

Earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate electrode of size 600mm x 600mm, 6.3mm thick burried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25m deep below normal ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5m below normal ground level, earth plate connected to galvanized iron earth strip of size 25mm x 4mm as earthing conductor by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanised iron or steel all as shown in electrical plate No. 3 of MES SSR part I (2009) connected to earth test point/main switch/DB/Panel board all as specified or indicated including testing on completion with and including 40mm bore light grade GI protection pipe 7.5 meter long for earth strip including PCC (1:3:6) type C1 pit with 40mm thick precast RCC (1:2:4) type B -1 cover reinforced with 12mm dia MS bars @ 150mm c/c both ways with lifting hooks made out of 12mm dia MS bars, wire mesh funnel with watering pipe 20mm dia light grade, common salt, charcoal filling in layers as specified including necessary excavation and earth work in any type of soil etc., complete all as specified and as directed.

PART-V: REPAIRS TO SUMMER APPLIANCES Dismantling the fan motor from the window type AC, taking out the burnt out winding and Rewinding the blower fan motor of Window type AC of capacity 1.5 Ton of any make with super enamelled copper wire of existing original size to get designed speed for 1/5 HP capacity motor including insulating, varnishing, providing sleeves to copper wire ends and refixing the same on its original position, testing and commissioning all as specified and directed.

Flushing the complete condensing unit, evaporator coil unit, compressor suction and delivery tubes and replacement of charging lines, strainers capillary tube etc., of window type AC and rectifying of the leakage from the system, vaccumising. dehydrating, oil and gas charging including testing and commissioning of system all as directed. Note : Freon Gas for charging shall be measured and paid separately.

Material and labour for Condensing coil and housing of the unit of any make of window type A.C including taking down existing unserviceable coil all as directed.

Material and labour for cooling coil unit and housing the unit of any make of Window type AC including taking down existing unserviceable coil all as directed.

Material and labour for Renewal of corroded portion of the Base plate and welding with of gauge as existing (original) new MS Sheet and painting with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer to match with existing surface for window type A/C and all as specified directed.

Taking out the existing unserviceable compressor unit from window type AC and Supply & Fix new hermetically sealed Rotary/Piston type compressor unit of same make of window type AC suitable to operate in A.C single phase 50 HZ 230 volts for window type AC of capacity 1.5 ton including testing and commisioning etc., complete all as directed. Note : Freon Gas for charging shall be measured and paid separately.

Taking out the existing unserviceable compressor unit from Split type AC and Supply & Fix new hermetically sealed Rotary / Piston type compressor unit of same make of Split type AC suitable to operate in A.C single phase 50 HZ 230 volts for split type AC of capacity 1.5 & 2.0 ton including testing and commisioning etc., complete all as directed. Note : Freon Gas for charging shall be measured and paid separately.

Taking out the unserviceable and Supply and fix new Fan motor of 1/6 HP RPM 950 AC single phase 50HZ Evaporator coil for the Split type Air conditioners of any make. Note: The spares shall be of same make of AC (or) of existing spare and shall conforming to IS specification

Taking down carefully, window type AC of any capacity by carefully disconnecting the electric connection and carrying out water washing, cleaning the filter and cooling coil and refixing the same in position including testing commissioning all as specified and directed.

Removing from existing location and shifting of split type AC of any capacity and fix factory made fabricated support suitable to mount outdoor unit (one pair per AC including drilling holes in walls for insertion of copper pipe, drain pipe and three core cable and making good the surfaces complete all as specified and directed.

Removing from existing location and shifting of window type AC of any capacity and fix with suitable wooden frame with second class hardwood in new location including providing three core cable and making good the surfaces complete all as specified and directed.
