COMPREHENSIVE REPAIR AND MAINT OF FILTRATION PLANT AT BML PUMP HOUSE, ASSOCIATED WORKS AT LIMB-II , LIMB- III WATER SUPPLY INSTALLATION AND DAY TO DAY COMPLAINTS AT PATIALA MIL STN UNDER GE (N) PATIALA

Attending day to day complaints of External water supply in patiala Mil Stn (old and New Cantt whereever required) by deputing dedicated team 01 No of pipe fitter and 02 Nos of helper . The following nature of complaints are to be attended in the day to day complaints.

(a) No Water Supply (b) Low Pressure of water in the Accn (c)Leakage of valves, water main and branch connection in the premises of user's varying of size 15mm to 250 mm bore. (e) Water not reaching in the overhead tank. (f) Blockage in pipe line,

Note:- (i) During repair it may necessitated the involvement of bailing out water and work as in mud/wet conditions, so contractor shall arrange all necessary arrangements to avoid stagnation/ponding of water in nearby area. Unit rate quoted against this item is deemed to be included for all such expenses. (ii) Complaint Register and Complaint Slip Book will be provided by the contractor for lodging daily complaints and the rate quoted against this item deemed to be included in unit rate. (iii) The complaint should be rectified within 48 hrs of receipt of complaint, otherwise penality of Rs 250 per day per complaint will be imposed to the contractor. In case of difficult nature of complaint, decision of Engineer-in-charge should be final for penalty to be imposed. (iv) GI fittings/ required for rectification of complaints shall be issued by the department free for fixing only. (v) Excavation for repair of pipe line is deemed to be included in the quote rates.for new pipe line rates for excavation and RFR shall be paid under respective items. (v) In case of any emergency complaint received on sunday or Govt holiday, the compalint will be attended on the same day.

Excavation in trenches for taking out, laying of pipes not exc 1.5 mtr wide and not exc 1.5 mtr in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling in trenches, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc. 25 cm complete all as directed. (Surplus soil if any shall not be removed but left proud over the trench)

Taking up or down steel water tubing / thin walled Flexible Quite coupling galvanised steel /ZRW/HFW pipe of 15 mm bore from trenches or walls etc. complete all as specified and directed. (Excavation and earth work shall be measured and paid separately).

All as per item No 4 above but of 20 mm bore.

All as per item No 4 above but of 25 mm bore.

All as per item No 4 above but of 40 mm bore.

All as per item No 4 above but of 50 mm bore.

Note for ser item No 04 to 09 :- (a) In case diversion of pipe line reqd due to bldg, stone road, under tree and any other reason sch of credit will not be deducted. (b) If any new connection reqd upto a length of 20 to 30 mtr extra contractor will not claim for any credit.

Relaying, jointing and testing serviceable GI tubing 15 mm bore as retrieved here-in-before in any length including cleaning, cutting, necessary fittings, laid in trenches or fixed to wall, floor complete all as specified and directed by Engineer in Charge. (Excavation & earth work shall be measured and paid separately).

Supply and fix Galvanized steel water tubing, medium grade of pipe 15mm bore , screwed and socketed joints with and including all required fittings as in trenches, floors, on walls etc complete all as directed and directed.

Supply and fix in replacement Stop valves, cast copper alloy,screwed down,high pressure,with crutch or butterfly handle,screwed both ends for iron pipe of 15mm bore complete all as directed and directed.

All as per item No 21 above but Pipe of 20mm bore

Supply and fix PVC 'D'clamp for repair to GI/ CI/ HDPE Pipe of 90/100/110 mm bore complete all as directed and directed.

Supply and fix Bib Tap size 15mm bore dia of pipes standard PTMT and colour high pressure screwed for iron pipe and fixed with nipple/ elbow and socket if required complete all as directed and directed.

Taking up the existing filter media sand and gravels from filter beds of filteration plant and depositing within 50 m distance for disposal complete all as directed and directed.

Cleaning of Inner surface of filteration chambers of size not more than 6.8 metres x 5.0 metres x 3 metres depth by removing sticky particles from walls, floor by scraping with sand paper till all the surfaces are totally cleaned, washing the surface using solution of Hydrogen pero -oxide and water in the ratio of 1:100 to entire satisfaction of Engr-in-Charge and applying one coat of white wash prior to load the filter media all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for providing gravels and spreading in layers in the filter beds upto 35 mm size all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per Srl Item No. 28 here-in before but of 10 to 20 mm size.

Material and labour for providing the silica sand of size 8/16 to 16/ 32 over layer of gravels depth after thorough cleaning of sand and spreading on the filter beds as per required depth complete all as specified and directed.

(Notes ) :- (i) The gravel size to be spreaded in 1st layer are of 35 mm, in 2nd layer 10 to 20 mm and in 3rd layer 2 to 6 mm silica sand in afterward upto top of the cannel in filteration plant. (ii) The sand sall be brought from Rajasthan/Uttarpradseh/Haryana (iii) THe gravels shall be brought from Anandpur saheb/Chaki river near Phatankot Note : Test certificate, certifying that the material supplied is fit for use as a filter media. (iv) The filter media including silica sand will be washed and free from any dust prior to spreading in the filter beds to entire satisfaction of Engr-in-charge.

Cutting the existing rusted pipe in filteration plant including Supply and fixing of GI tubing medium grade 80 mm bore of reqd size with flaged end by welding and tightening with suitable size of nut and bolts and two coats of synthetic enamel paint matching with existing colour (yellow) complete all as specified and directed.

Taking down broken UPVC pipe incl supply and lay perforated double walled corrugated UPVC pipe of size 125 mm outer dia, pressure rating 12.5 kgf/sqcm conforming to IS 4985-81 of approved colour with neccessary fitting complete and making hole complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of concrete of any description and in any position specifically provided for Cement concrete (unreinforced) including taking out UUPVSC pipe from filter bed all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for providing cement concrete type Type B2 1:2:4 (40 mm graded aggregate) in Cement concrete in surface channels for fixing of pipes etc complete all as specified and as directed.

Taken down old US Water level indicator and depositing to MES store yard including supply, installation and testing of mechanical type water level indicator of height to be measure 3.0 mtr with following specification:-

(a) Tempature- 80 deg celcius, pressure 5 Bar, viscosity 0.7-20CP, End connection 1" ASA 10# RF (b) Process connection MS Flange at End, Board made up of Aluminium powder coated having Screen printed having 150mm width and 1 mtr long and black marking with PVC lamintaed . (c ) Zero Plate made up of Aluminium, least count 10MM, indivation in CM, Float SS-304 of 12" dia, Pulley & pulley pin made up of SS-304, Float wire made up of SS-304 rope with 2.5 MM diaPullleu and pulley pin made up of SS-304, pulley housing aluminium die cast,. (d) Inter connecting piping MS telescopic pipe having adjustable upto 700mm long, Board joints brackets made fitted with MS T type at every meter, Top bracket L typeand check nut & check nut pipe are made up of MS (e) Indicating arrow made out of MS powder coated PP roller with redium pointer

Taken down old US Water level indicator and depositing to MES store yard including supply, installation and testing of mechanical type water level indicator of height to be measure 5.0 mtr with following specification:-

(b) All Safety measures will be taken care by contractor while exceution of work.

Labour only for attending break down of CI/DI/MS pipe pipe line bursting / cracks and including cleaning / removal of broken pipe pieces of various lengths through gas cutting / manual cutting as per site requirement and including inserting necessary specials such as pipes, CI / DI Collar / mechanical Joints etc as per site requirement, testing for leakages of lead joints, testing and necessary dewatering complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge, for the following sizes:- Note 1 :- The quoted rate is deemed to be include the following:- (i) Arrangement of suitable Pump sets for dewatering at the time of attending break down including taking down old pipes, JCB's and cleaning of vegetation at surrounding area and Cranes as per site requirement . (ii) Necessary labour/trade men for attending break down. (iii) Labour element required for fixing CI/DI/MS pipes, specials, fittings etc. Note 2 :- Earth work, Lead joints, Supply only CI/ DI/ MS pipes, specials, fittings will be measured and paid seperately under relevant items.

M&L for ductile iron fitting such as bend (any type , radius and angle ) taper any type (straight , bend , increasing, decreasing or double socket etc ) tee pieces , single branch 'Y' junction , double branch, cross (all socket or socket and spigot) colar, caps and plugs suitable for upto 300 mm bore centrifugally cast (spun) ductile iron pressure pipes complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to sluice valve installed at existing line of following sizes by opening up, necessary repair comprising replacement of glands, gland packing, gaskets, facing the gate & valve seat, replacement of nut bolts, reassembling and fixing in position & testing complete all as directed. Note: - (i) The rates of material like gland, gland packing, gasket, Mild steel Spindle with TT nutand machinery work deemed to be included in the rate quoted. (ii) Necessary arrangements for regulating the water supply in line for the purpose of repair shall be made by contractor at his own expenses.

Cutting of road / PCC path upto the depth of pipes and making good the disturbed surface with PCC Type B2 1:3:6 (40mm aggregate) using extra cement including earth work complete all as specified and directed

Suppy only calcium hypochlorite 65% to 70% chlorine content in granular form, calcium based granular chlorination chemical all as specified and directed. Make of product -DECLIBAC/PURI CHLOR/AQUAFITAQUA PURAor equivalent. as approved by GE Note : (i) High strength calcium based granular chlorination chemical to packed in plastic drum of 45 Kgs each (iii) The brand and make of the chlorination chemical must be stated and certificate of Hygiene & Public Health (Govt of India) conforming compliance to all the above specification technical strength, stability,health, safety and operational point of view as well as the fact that this product is used for water supply installations.

Supply only Alum Ferric grade - IV for RAW water at BML for coagulation and trapping of suspended matter and colour in water in controlled manner to maintain PH value in the range of 7.2 to 7.6 complete all as specified and directed

Taking down old unsv Sluice valve including supply, fixing and testing of cast iron sluice valves ISI marked with hand wheel suitable for cast iron pipe/ductile iron of 200 mm bore, both ends flanged rating PN-1.0 with SS spindle including jointing with New MS nuts and bolts, washers and gasket etc all as per IS No. 14846.

M & L for constructing of brick mesonary pits of internal dimensions 1.2 mtr x 1.2 mtr x1.2 mtrs ( bottom PCC floor of the pit should be minimum 30 cms below the bottom surface of sluice valve flange to provide sufficient working space) , bottom floor of the pit be constructed in PCC (1:3:6) 15 cms thick with 20 mm stone aggregate, inner and exposed surfaces and bottom floor of the pit should be plastered in CM (1:4) 15 MM thick. The sluice valve and other fittings should be housed in center of the pit. the vertices of the pit should in right angle and champhered .The top cover of the pit will be made out of MS sheet min 3.15 mm thick witth angle iron frame made out of MS angle 40mm x40 mmx 5 mm with galvanised steel hindges two nos ,and locking arrangements duly painted with two coats of water resistant synthetic enamelled paint over one coat of red oxide.

Material and labour for connecting pipe (100 mm to 200 mm bore) reqd length from overflow, rising main to delivery line by necessary cutting, fixing of TEE/CI/DI /MS fittings of suitable sizes in rising main and delivery line and taking connection from overflow including fixing of sluice valve, one on overflow line side and other on rising main line side all as specifired and as directed by Engr-in-charge.

Note:- (a) All CI/DI/MS fiitings reqiured will be measured and paid under respective items. (b) Earth work if required will be measured and paid under respective items. (c) DI pipe of suitable size will be maesured and paid under respetive items. (d) Rates for rubber gasket, cutting of pipe and fixing of flanges are included. (e) If flange required for fixing of pipe line of suitable sizes are included in quoted rates.
