Surface excavation n exc 30cm deep and averaging 15 cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Surface dressing n exc 15 cm deep in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and directed.

Grass cutting on the shoulders of the runways, links/taxi ways, over run areas and adjacent areas as necessary including cleaning away all grasses, vegetation and uprooting of saplings, shrubs, bushes, weeds, roots including making good in disrupted areas and removing rubbish etc complete to a distance exceeding 1.5km but nexc 5.0km from the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Eng-in-charge. NOTE: The grass, plants, shrubs, vegetations and bushes shall not be allowed to grow more than 150mm from the ground level at any time, cutting and trimming work shall has to be carried out using petrol driven cutting machines or with manual labour equipped with tools. The use of JCB or tractor for grass cutting is strictly prohibited with in the runway areas.

Removing excavated material of soil exc 1.5km and n exc 5.0km depositing where directed by Engr-in-charge.

Desilting from drains (open or closed) of any sizes by removing and taking out silt, sand, clay, sludges etc. from the drain and depositing the same to a distance exc 1.50km but not exc 5.00km with in the MoD land complete all as specified and as directed by Eng-in-Charge. NOTE: The material obtained from desilting of drains shall be measured and paid through stack measurement under this item only.

Moorum/red bajri filling in floors or pavings etc laid in layers not exceeding 15cm thick, spread, levelled and rammed including watering complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (un reinforced) of any description and in any position not otherwise specifically provided for complete all as specified and as directed.

Demolition of boulder stone pitching grouted in cement mortar complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for PCC 1:5:10 type E2 using 40mm graded stone aggregates as in foundation, fillings and mass concrete complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for PCC 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregates as surface channels and drains. complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for boulder pitching, hand packed tightly grouted with CM 1:6 complete all as specified and as directed.

All as per Serial Item No. 11 (above) but except stones complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for preparing surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt over existing wearing courses of PQC or black top surfaces etc. complete all as specified and as directed.
