WATERPROOFING TREATMENT AND ALLIED REPAIR WORK

GENERAL : All items of work contracted for shall be executed strictly in accordance with the description of the item in the Bill of Material; specifications read in conjunction with the appropriate Indian Standard specifications and conditions of the contract and established Engineering practices.

Dismantling the existing top layer cement based water proofing treatment for Girls Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure to required depth up to the top of existing stone aggregate / phaska filling level only in proper line, level and slope including disposing off all the debris within 50M lead

Labour charges for preparation of sub base of roof terrace surface areas for carrying out water proofing treatment in Girls Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure, including cleaning and making it free from all the foreign matters, any deposits of contaminations, sharp projection, dist, dirt etc. and leveling evenly the existing dismantled sub base materials including providing spreading and grouting filling crushed sand average 40mm depth to fill the depressions and flat areas making uniform required slope, well ramming, watering and consolidating the sub base filling evenly to correct level and slope etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge. Note: Rate shall be inclusive of providing Crushed sand for grouting filling and leveling to fill the depressions and flat areas making uniform required slope.

Providing and laying integral cement based water proofing treatment in Girls Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure with average thickness of 120 mm and minimum thickness at khurra as 65 mm. including preparation of surface as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terraces etc consisting of following operations: (a) Applying a slurry coat of neat cement using 2.75 kg/sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS. 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge over the prepared sub base roof terrace surfaces including adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. (b) Providing and Laying Cement Concrete 1:2:4 [1 cement: 2 crushed coarse sand: 4 graded stone aggregate of 10 mm nominal size] with average thickness of 75mm admixed with water proofing material conforming to IS : 2645 to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls up to 300 mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs. (c) After two days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry using 2.75 kg/ sqm of cement admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineer-in- charge. (d) Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick joint-less cement mortar of mix 1:4 (1 cement :4 coarse sand) admixed with Dr. Fixit Pidicrete URP-301 in doses @ 5 liters with every 50 kg bag of cement including laying glass fiber cloth of approved quality in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making pattern of 300x300 mm square 3 mm deep. (e) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of two weeks for curing and for final test.“All above operations to be done in order and as directed and specified by the Engineer-in-Charge

Providing 18 mm cement plaster for exterior walls above roof levels in Girls and boys Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure in two coats, under layer 12 mm thick cement plaster 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) and a top layer 6 mm thick cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) finished rough with sponge including providing and mixing water proofing material in proportion recommended by the manufacturers including scaffolding, curing etc. complete all as directed.

Providing and fixing Kota stone slabs 18 to 20 mm thick above roof levels in Girls and boys Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure on existing RCC pillars top laid on 12 mm (average) thick cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) including machine cutting to required shape and sizes and jointed with grey cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slabs, including rubbing and polishing, rounding corners etc. complete.

Finishing walls up to 10 meters height with Acrylic Smooth exterior paint above roof levels in Girls and boys Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure in required shade in two or more coat applied @ 1.67 ltr/10 sqm over and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 2.20 kg/10 sqm including scrapping the surfaces with wire brush / coir and cleaning the surfaces , removing all loose particles, dirts, dust and washing, filling the cracks / crevices in uniform finish all as directed, scaffolding etc. complete.

Labour charges for cutting reinforcement bars (dowels) above roof levels in Girls and boys Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure by mechanical means or / by hacksaw blades (up to 8 bars each columns) from top level of dummy RCC Columns at roof terrace level and handing over and stacking the cut pieces of reinforcement within a lead of 50 Meters at ground level. Note: Mode of measurement shall be per column bases.

Reinforced cement concrete repair work 1:1.5:3 (1 cement : 1.5 coarse sand: 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size) above roof levels in Girls and boys Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure in existing dummy RCC columns (any thickness), including attached pilasters, buttresses, fillets, pillars, etc. above plinth on roof terrace level, including cost of all materials, centering, shuttering, finishing, curing etc.

Disposal of building rubbish/ malba/ stone slabs or similar unserviceable, dismantled or waste material by mechanical transport including loading, transporting, unloading to approved municipal dumping ground for lead up to 10 km for all lifts, complete as per directions of Engineer-in-charge. Note - Item to be applicable in urban areas having directions for restricted hours for movement/ plying of load carrying motor vehicle of 3.5 cum or more.

Providing and injecting approved grout Stirrer mixed SBR Polymer (of approved make) modified Cement slurry made with Shrinkage Compensating Cement in concrete/RCC work for roof slabs in Girls and boys Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure proportion recommended by the manufacturer into cracks/honey-comb area of concrete/ masonry by suitable gun/pump at required pressure including cleaning the grout area, providing and fixing 10 to 20 mm dia. suitable nozzle of suitable length, over the surface of RCC slab preferably by using repercussive hammer drill (electrically operated) wherever required, cutting and sealing of nipples after grouting, curing etc. complete as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Labour charges for applying required shade in two or more coats of Damp Proof waterproofing paint above roof levels in boys Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure applied @ 1.67 ltr/10 sqm over the roof terrace of Boys Hostel Buildings and including priming coat of exterior primer applied @ 2.20 kg/10 sqm including preparation of sub base of roof terrace surface areas scrapping with wire brush / coir and cleaning the surfaces , removing all loose particles, dirts, dust and washing, filling the cracks / crevices in uniform finish all as directed, etc. complete. disposing off the rubbish / mulba within a lead of 50 Meters at ground level. Note: Only Damp Proof Paint shall be supplied by the department free of cost, the rate shall be inclusive of cost of tools, brush etc. required for completing the work.

Labour charges for dismantling existing old Boiler of 100 liters capacity above roof levels in Girls Hostel Block Buildings of G+1 Floors structure in M.S. Box frame work in built up sections in angles, tees, flats and channels including all gusset plates, bolts, nuts, cutting rivets, welding etc. including dismembering, disconnection and including cutting foundation channels on the roof terrace by mechanical cutter machine, and disposing off the debris from roof terrace level and handing over and stacking the cut pieces of dismantled materials of MS sections within a lead of 50 Meters at ground level.
