Earthwork Manual Excavation (Hard Rock): Earth work excavation in foundations in hard rock by chiseling up to following depth including dewatering till completion of work and stacking & disposing to a distance 50m etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge

Disposing off the surplus excavated materials (earth, soft rock & hard rock), debris of dismantled materials by mechanical transport to the dumping ground out side anushaktinagar colony with all leads, lifts, loading, unloading, levelling the same to the required line & level at the disposal ground as per specifications & as directed by the Engineer in Charge. Note:- i) Voids @ 20% for soils and 50% for soft /hard rock shall be deducted from fully loaded truck measurements to arrive at the net quantity for payment, in case direct measurement is not possible. ii)Royalty for excavation, transportation,filling of earthwork etc. including obtaining permission from statutory authority, if any shall be borne by the contractor.
DUCTILE IRON (D.I.) PIPES: Providing & laying in trenches centrifugally cast Ductile(spun) iron pressure pipes for water supply Class K-9 of approved make conforming to IS :8329, external zinc bitumen coated & internal cement mortar lined with ISI mark, including keeping them in position to correct alignment & levels, laying (IS 1228), jointing with rubber gasket of SBR as per IS 5382 and/or IS 12820 with ISI mark, cutting to waste of pipes wherever necessary, jointing with the existing pumping line, testing the pipes to a pressure of 10 kg/sqcm after making necessary joints to appropriate hydraulic pressure with minimum duration of testing for two hours with clean & potable water as per specifications Note: The pipe line shall be measured along the centre line duly deducting the outer to outer length of the specials. The above cost includes 'push-on joints with gaskets.

DUCTILE IRON (D.I.) Fittings: Providing, laying, jointing & fixing DI conforming to IS:9523, external zinc bitumen coated & internal cement mortar mechanical, flanged, and /or push-on type fittings/specials, K-12 class of approved make like tees, bends, collars, reducers, enlargers of all sockets.socket & spigot or double end flanged etc with sealing rubber gasket of SBR conforming to IS: 5382 and or IS:12820 with ISI mark, cast/ductile iron follower gland. MS nut bolts coated or otherwise protected from rusting, suitable for D.I.pressure pipes for water supply to correct alignment and levels including jointing the specials to pipe line & testing the specials to approriate hydraulic pressure alongwith the pipe line with clean & potable water as per specifications.
CI Sluice Valve: Providing & fixing best Indian make CI sluice valve with flanged ends conforming to IS:14846,PN 1.0 along with a pair of DI tail pieces conforming to IS:9523, making necessary flanged joint, providing jointing materials like bolts, nuts rubber insertion or equivalent & testing the valves & joints for a pressure of 10kg/sq.cm with clean & potable water with a minimum testing period of two hours as per standard specifications and as directed by the EIC.

Air Valve: Providing & fitting 25mm dia. single ball air valve of good quality with gun metal isolating valve with double flange & taper & GI pipes & specials including making necessary flange & screwed joints & all jointing materials & testing to a pressure of 10 Kg/sqm. Hydraulically all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
GUN METAL VALVE: Providing and fixing Gunmetal Gate valves of New/ Sant / Leader or equivalanet make following dia. confirming to IS-778 with new hand wheels at top including fitting like elbows, tees, unions, couplings, reducers, enlargers, bends etc. all other fittings required for completion conforming to IS: 1239 including testing for 10kg/Sqcm with clean & potable water as per standard specifications & as directed by EIC.
Valve Chambers: Construction of brick masonry valve chambers of following dimensions for depth as mentioned below comprising of 230 mm thick brick masonry in cement mortar 1:4 over a bed of 150 mm thick cement concrete of grade 1:2:4 for foundation with 150 mm offset all round, including racking out joints & plastering in cement mortar 1:3, 20 mm thick both on internal and external surfaces, internal surfaces finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement, Fixing (FRP/GRP/CI/DI/ MS) Frame and cover all as per specifications and directions of the E.I.C. including dewatering the pit, if required till completion of the work all complete. Note :- The top cover of chambers are fabricating,welding,erecting in position,by using structural steel like angle, flates, sloted angles, Joists/ 'I' beam, Channel, chequered plate etc. complete as directed by EIC. And paid in relevent item seperately.
Chamber measuring 1.00 mtr. X 1.00 mtr. for an initial depth of 1000 mm (Clear internal dimension)
Extra depth over item no 8.1 beyond 1.0M initial depth including providing & fixing CI steps each weighting not less than 3.5 kgs.@ 300mm Centre to centre painting etc. complete all as specified & directed by the EIC.
PEET VALVE CHAMBERS: Construction of brick masonry valve chambers of dimensions 450mmx450mm for depth of 600mm comprising of 230 mm thick brick masonry in cement mortar 1:4 over a bed of 150 mm thick cement concrete of grade 1:2:4 for foundation with 150 mm offset all round, including racking out joints & plastering in cement mortar 1:3, 20 mm thick both on internal and external surfaces, internal surfaces finished smooth with a floating coat of neat cement, Fixing (FRP/GRP/CI/DI/MS) Frame and cover all as per specifications and directions of the E.I.C. including dewatering the pit, if required till completion of the work all complete.
SINTEX TANK: Providing, hoisting and installing at required elevation rotational moulded polyethylene cylindrical vertical storage tank of 1000 litres capacity similar to model no.:CCWS 100.10 of Syntex make with BIS mark confirming to IS 12701-1996 with suitable municipal approved cover at top with proper locking arrangement including the cost of hoisting the tank carefully to the required elevation without causing any damage, labour charges for making required number of holes for inlet, outlet, overflow and air vent with out causing any damage to Sintex tank, including cost of providing all required CPVC/GI/ UPVC/PPR specials, fixtures, fittings, tank connectors, adopters, union etc., including cost of providing required number of CPVC tank connector for overflow pipe & vent pipe etc complete all as directed by the Engineer in charge.
STRUCTURAL STEEL WORKS: Supplying, fabricating and fixing in position structural steel of angle, joists, channel, I Beam, plain / chequered plates for providing frame and cover to all valve chambers, providing ISMC channel support to D.I pipes above Ground level near pump house, miscellaneous works etc., including cutting, fabricating, welding, erecting in position including supplying & fixing embedded parts for fixing supports in concrete, including painting with two coats of approved synthetic enamel paint over a coat of zinc cromate red oxide primer all complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer in Charge, Using angle, flates, sloted angles, Joists/ 'I' beam, Channel, chequered plate etc.
UPVC PIPE BELOW GROUND: Supplying & fixing on Below the Ground or floor the following dia. ASTM nontreaded UPVC solvent welded pipes as per ASTM D-1785 and fittings as per ASTM D-2466 and ASTM D-2467 (white or offwhite colour) of specified class, consisting following items of work:- i)Supplying & fixing ASTM non-treaded UPVC sovent welded pipes as per ASTM D-1785 and fittings as per ASTM D-2466 and ASTM D-2467. ii) Laying and fixing the pipe and specials below the ground or floor to correct line, level and plumb for water supply line. iii) Testing the pipe line to a hydraulic pressure as per manufacturers cataglouge for leak proof joint or as per relavant code. iv) Making leak proof threaded / welded joints. including cutting the pipe, cleaning, marking, heating, welding, cooling etc. and the cost of jointing materials. v) Cutting or making hole or chases in RCC or brick work structure such as wall, column, beam, slab, chajja, dado etc. for passing the pipe line and reinstating all the damage to its original condition. vii) Providing and fixing UPVC weldable / threaded fittings such as Union, Nipples, Bendes, Elbows, Tees, Reducers, End caps, Couplers, Adaptors, Saddles, Plugs, Tank connectors, Expansion loops, Bypass bends, etc. Schedule 40 Pipes and Fittings of Approved make

G.I.PIPES: Supplying, laying, jointing & fixing on below & above ground surfaces the following size Galvanised iron pipe consisting following items of work:- i) Supplying galvanised mild steel screwed and socketed pipe conforming to IS:1239 (Part-I) with galvanised mild steel or wrought steel fittings conforming to IS:1239 (Part-II) & also as per the code of practices of water supply in buildings IS 2065. ii) Laying and fixing the pipe and specials on exposed and underground surfaces to correct line, level and plumb for water supply line, overflow and vent using M.S nails, rawl plugs, wooden gutties and 'U' type G.I clamps having not less than 2 mm thick. iii) Making leak proof threaded joints using white zinc, spun yarn etc. including cutting the pipe, threading and the cost of jointing materials. iv) Cutting or making hole or chases in RCC or brick work structure such as wall, column, beam, slab, chajja, dado etc. for passing the pipe line and reinstating all the damage to its original condition. v) Testing the pipe line to a hydraulic pressure of 10 kg / sq.cm for leak proof joint. vi) Painting the pipe line after testing with two coats of flat oil paint of approved make and shade over a coat of approved primer. 'NOTE: 1) The rate shall also include for GI pipe line & specials required for making connections with the existing DI/GI pipe line. 2) Exposed pipe fixing arrangement include providing & fixing slotted G.I. section &U clamps bolts arrangement for grouping of pipe. MAKING FLANGED JOINTS: Making flanged joints for D.I./C.I. pipes and specials for water supply including drilling the holes to the flanges, providing jointing materials like bolts, nuts, rubber insertion conforming to IS 638/5382, & testing the joints hydraulically to a pressure & duration as specified along with the pipeline and rectification of leaky joints if any, all as per standard specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge (Each joint means connecting of two flanges of the following sizes.)

CUTTING OF EXISTING PIPES: Cutting the existing 150mm/200mm dia. DI water supply pipe line for inserting DI specials, fixtures etc. without damaging the adjacent pipes, removing the pipes if required as per site conditions & relaying it back after inserting the specials or fixtures in position, isolating the pipe line before cutting etc. all as directed and to the entire satisfaction of Engineer- in-charge. (Note:-1. One No.of item two cuttings of the pipe line.2. DI Fittings reuired for the work will be paid in the relevant item)
MAKING CONNECTIONS
Making connections with existing flush tanks in shafts for individual flats for the newly provided UPVC pipes by cutting the existing GI line upto 50mm dia. with G.I. specials, fittings etc. as per site conditions & etc. all as directed and to the entire satisfaction of Engineer- in-charge.

CUTTING ASPHALT MACADAM: Cutting the existing asphalt macadam road for exposing, laying pipe lines, etc. upto & including random rubble soling & making good the same after satisfactory completion of work but excluding black topping, watering, ramming all complete as directed to the entire satisfaction of EIC
REMOVING & RELAYING SHAHABAD STONE: Removing and re-doing, laying 50mm average thickness rough shahabad stone/paver blocks paving in footpaths over a bed of 150mm thick murrum(incl.supply of murrum & preparation of murrum bed) to proper slope, includding cutting the edges to proper lines & sunk/flush pointing with cement mortar 1:3 with 15X10 mm groove crosswise & longti- tudinally or finishing as per the original & adjacent footpath, curing, cutting of stones whereever required & transporting the stones to site of work from DCSE stores/ removed from site under item No.1 etc. complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge
REMOVING & LAYING NEW SHAHABAD STONE/PAVER BLOCK: Removing and re-doing, laying New 50mm average thickness rough shahabad stone paving in footpaths over a bed of 150mm thick murrum(incl.supply of murrum & preparation of murrum bed) to proper slope, includding cutting the edges to proper lines & sunk/flush pointing with cement mortar 1:3 with 15X10 mm groove crosswise & longti- tudinally or finishing as per the original & adjacent footpath, curing, cutting of stones whereever required/paver blocks 80 mm thick factory made rough finished interlocking paver blocks of approved make, colour, shape laid in pattern, manufactured with cement concrete grade not less than M-40, including supplying & laying 50 mm thick stone grit & dust evenly spread over the sub base including preparation & consolidation of sub base, and vibrating the paver block surface with surface vibrator, finished in line, level and filling the joints with fine sand and removal of excess sand, cleaning the surface etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.
P.C.C.: Plain cement concrete of M20 grade at top of pedestal on terrace of buildings using graded stone aggregate of 20mm maximum size including necessary formwork, machine mixing, transporting, placing in position, consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete all as per specifications & as directed all as per specifications & as directed by EIC
R.M.C. (M-20): Providing RMC (Ready Mixed Concrete) M-20 grade for all type of structural/ RCC elements & PCCworks confirming to IS 4926 (latest) in lieu of conventional RCC items and PCC items supplied by approved RMC manufactures including transporting, pumping etc. as per instructions ofthe Engineer -in- Charge.Notes :- i) The contractor shall obtain prior approval forRMC manufacturer from Engineer in Chargein writing.ii) The rate shall apply for all levels and locations including all type of structure etc.
BRICKWORK: Brickwork using bricks as specified in foundation & plinth including curing, raking out joints above ground level & simultaneous pointing below ground level etc. complete all as per standard specifications using cement mortar 1:4
PLASTERING: Cement plastering 15mm thick using factory manufactured pre mix/ready mix mortar in CM 1:4 of 'Roofit Mix'of M/s Premier Floor to Roof Materials pvt.ltd/ 'Easy plast' of M/s Walplast Products pvt.ltd/ 'Readiplast' of M/s Ultratech Cement Ltd or other approved equivalent make, having minimum composition of C:S :: 1:4 using fully treated dry, well graded natural sand conforming to IS 383 suitable for external plastering, having low rebound properties, low water demand for curing properties, mechnical mixing with water in a metalic tray only to make good consistency as per the specification of the Manufacturer and applied on internal/external surfaces and ceiling finished smooth with neat cement punning over brick walls or concrete surfaces at all floors and levels, including curing , removing existing damaged/ worn out plastering and disposing off debris out side colony etc. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.
