SPECIAL REPAIR TO MOTORIZED HANGAR DOORS (HANGAR NO. 3 AND TWIN HANGAR) AT AFA HYDERABAD

M&L for motorisation of existing hangar doors of clear opening 29.40 m x 8.00 approximately consisting of 4 door leaves, biparting type including taking down existing hangar doors completely strengthening of holdfast and supports of guide rails, channels and refixing same after necessary modifications to the wheels, gantries etc., including fixing up with suitable type electric motors not less than 2 HP capacity and suitable heavy grade reduction gears etc., complete all as per specifications given below including provision of manual operation on power failure/malfunctioning, including provision of plain cement concrete mix and grade as recommended by Engineer-in-charge for fixing of the rails as required at site and making good disturbed surface complete all as specified and directed for Hangar No 3.

Clear opening of door - 29.40m wide x 8.00m height - total 4 leaves, 2 each side, bi-parting as existing.

Weight of each leaf - 15 Tons approximate (7.5m wide x 8.00m height approximate)

Bottom and top wheel assemble to be replaced with suitable heavy duty 300 mm thread diameter, double flanged EN-8 steel grade forged 8Nos wheels with hardness 300 to 350 BHN with ZZ sealed maintenance free ball bearings.

Drive Assembly shall be house in fully encased weather proof box with suitable electrical induction motor of suitable type and capacity not less than 2 HP, three phase with suitable heavy grade speed reduction gear attachments - 4 sets or it can be 2 sets with suitable capacity motor and reduction gear arrangement to main driving leaf and attached movement of subsequent leaf with slave arrangement.

Idler assembly with chain drive connected to bottom wheels or direct gear coupling- 4 sets, one for each leaf or it can be 2 sets for the system with main driving leaf and attached movement of subsequent leaf with slave arrangement including suitable declutching facility for manual operation.

Suitable limit switches shall be provided for automatic cutoff for all individaul leaves.

Suitable control panel made out of 3.15 mm thick MS box, outdoor type weather proof with MCBs of suitable rating, emergency stop switch one set for each driving leaf consisting suitable relays, power and auxiliary contactors, over load and under voltage protections and single phase preventor etc., with suitable hooters / blinkers and push button switches for forward and reverse movements, including suitable bus bars, indication lamps, interlock contactors, warnings lights etc complete.

All control cable of suitable rating shall be with cable trailing/bunching arrangement with suitable cable carriers, fastners etc., as per the designed requirement.

M&L apply one coat of aluminium paint on old steel surfaces of any description including preparation over 10 cm width or girth and two coats of aluminium paint over a coat of primer including preparation of new steel surfaces of any description over 10 cm width or girth complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge.

Note for item No 1 and 2 :- (i) Design of entire system should be submitted and approved by Accepting officer prior to fabrication. (ii) Structural members like guide rails, angle irons, MS sheet will be measured and paid under relavent item of schedule. (iii) Contractor shall give functional guarantee and servicing of entire system for period of 02 years from date of completion.

M&L for Rolled mild steel as in heavy bracket framing (beam, tee, angle, channel or flat sections) including distance pieces, cleats etc Fe-290, Grade-E-165 complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Rolled mild steel sections as in running rails and guides for sliding doors, fixed with angle cleats, connecting plates etc FE-290 Grade E-165 complete all as specified and directed

M&L for Galvanised corrugated mild steel sheeting, 0.63mm thick with two corrugations side lap, fixed with coach screws and washers, in roof, walls, hanger doors etc with grade of zinc coating 275 complete all as specified and directed
