Clearing the Scrub Jungle and destroying the same effectively etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.

Earth Work excavation and depositing on bank within initial lead of 10m and initial lift of 2m in sand silt or other loose soil, wet sand, silt not under water, light black cotton soil, sandy loam and ordinary soil including excavated earth (SS20B) etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.

Dismantling the plain cement concrete under 3 metre height inside the canal and clearing away carefully stacking of materials useful for reuse for any thickness of walls within initial lead of 10m and initial lift of 2m etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.

Gravel Backing using gravelly soil obtained from borrow pits selected and earmarked by the departmental officers and conveying all leads and lifts to the site and spreading in layers of the bed and the inner slope of the canal and compacting etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.

Preparation of subgrade (as per technical specification) duly moistured and duly removing the surface irregularities including dewatering and laying plain cement concrete lining, 65mm thick of M.15 grade concrete on canal bed, sides and berms using hard course aggregate with nominal maximum size of 20mm downgraded to IS specified grading to have well graded aggregate weigh batching the ingredients along with Air Entraining Agent (200ml per bag of cement) and mixing these in mixer machine (concrete mix to yield 28 days characteristic compressive strength of 15 N/mm2) placement of concrete over the sub grade on canal bed, sides and berms manually including consolidation of concrete, providing transverse contraction joint grooves as per technical specifications and water curing of the lining etc. The subgrade shall be well perepared, dressed and rolled to true level and specified section to form a firm compacted base for the lining etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
