Annual Maintenance to the Supply channel and Tanks in Irrigation Section, Sadras in Cheyyur Taluk of Chengalpattu District.

Providing services for assisting the departmental engineers while taking levels through floats in the Bukingham Canal Carrying out desilting works in the Tanks, Sluices, and Supply Channels, including taking pre-levels and post-levels for calculation of desilting quantities; marking reference pegs; removal of silt, sludge, vegetation, hyacinth, plastic waste, thermocol, wooden logs, and other floating materials; ensuring free flow of water through sluices and channels; periodical cleaning and maintenance of waterways; collection of water samples at various locations; collection of soil samples for investigation; assisting in excavation of trial pits for soil testing, preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) and estimates; plotting cross-sectional and longitudinal level charts in Excel; typing correspondence in Tamil and English; and performing related duties for 8 hours per day as directed by the departmental engineers, including any other works as specified by them from time to time. Hire Charges for deploying heavy earth moving machineries JCB inclucing the cost of fuel, operation, maintenance and all other incidential charges, repair charges etc for clearing the obstructions, debris, Shoals, silt and closing the damages in channel / Water course etc., whenever and where ever necessary complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers.
