Clearing and Grubbing road land including uprooting vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees girth up to 300mm, removal of stumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, to all lead and lifts. Including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150mm in thickness as per clause no. 201 of MoRD specification Rural roads-2004.
Earth work excavation in ordinary soil exclusive of compensation of earth-earth-work undressed with all lead & lift including breaking of clods. (HSR 6.2a) , and relaying the same for making of berms and side slopes including laying , dressing, watering & rolling as per HSR 6.2 g-i, g iii & g-v -
Milling of distress bituminous layer upto 20mm depth in single pass with suitable milling machine (capable of milling @200-300 sqm area per Hr.) fitted with loading conveyor for loading the milled material directly on the trucks i/c hauling and stock piling the reclaimed material near the central recycling plant or reclaiming to bring to required as per specification to reuse with the approval of Engineer-in-Charge for safe disposal with all leads and lifts complete in all respects.(N.S) Note- The unutilized quantity of reclaimed bituminous mix material shall be recovery.
Preparation of berms including filling of Earth work, excavation and cutting of earth in all kind of soils including dressing the bank, side slope to given levels and templates after breaking of clouds, including the cost of rolling and watering all allowances for labour hardness wetness irrespective of all lead and lift and including Compensation for earth taken from private land, fields etc. and compacted to meet requirement of table 300-2 of MoRT&H specification clause No. 30 and to entire satisfaction of the Engineer of the work confirming to PWD specification No. 6.2 and 6.3 and 3.2 and the other specification 1990 Ist edition. As per X-section. This item also includes E/W if required in sub f=grade for Widening and Shoulder. Earth used for sub grade, shoulder and berms should have minimum CBR 8%. Note:- No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer.
Preparation of sub-grade including trenching rough dressing of soil, final dressing of earth to given levels and chamber , watering, rolling with road roller and compacting the bed in all respect before laying paving material [confirming to clause 301 of MoRD specification for Rural Roads-2004] Note: - In widening portion sub grade will be prepared with the use of Baby roller (HSR 24.1) or width of excavation should be made sufficient wide to accommodate road roller. Extra width required for compaction of sub grade shall not be paid and its expenditure shall be in incidental to the work.
Providing laying, watering and compacting of 150 mm thick granular sub base (G-I) consisting of filter layer confirming to Table 400.1 Grading - 1 of MoRD specifications, mixing in a mechanical mix plant at OMC, carriage of mix material to the site of work, spreading in uniform layer with motor grader on prepared surface and compacting with vibratory power roller to achieve desired density complete as per clause No. 401 of MoRD specifications 2004. Note - 1. Only crushed metal material should be used. No local earth sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Materials to be used and operations of manufacturing shall be approved by engineer.
Providing & laying 75 mm thick (Compacted) stone metal (G-II) 63 to 45mm gauge wearing coat to Water Bound Macadam in layer of 75 mm eachusing screening type 'B' compacting with three wheeled power rollers of 80-100 kN capacity or tandem or vibratory of 80-100 kN static weigth to achieve the desired density including lighting, guarding barricading and maintenance of diversion etc. as per technical MoRD clause no 405 Rural Roads-2004).as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respect. Providing & laying 150 mm thick (Compacted) stone metal (G-III) 53mm to 22.4mm gauge wearing coat to water bound macadam in layer of 75mm each using screening type ‘B’ compacting with three wheeled power rollers of 80-100 kN capacity or tandem or vibratory of 80-100 kN static weigth to achieve the desire density including lighting, guarding barricading and maintenance of diversion etc. as per clause no 405 of MoRD specification for Rural Roads-2004) as per drawing and design directed by the Engineer complete in all respects.(N.S.) Note: - 1.Only crushed stone metal material should be used. No local earth/ natural occurring sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion (SS-I) on prepared surface of granular base including cleaning of road surface and spraying primer mix at the rate of 0.70kg/sqm using mechanical means as per Technical specification clause 502 of MoRD specification Rural roads-2004. Instructions issued from time to time by MoRD regarding bitumen emulsion will be followed strictly.
Providing and applying Tack coat of VG 10 ( 80/100 grade) bitumen using bitumen @ 0.25 kg per sqmall inclusive including clearing and blowing dust off the surface using a compressor and brooms ( conforming to clause 503 of MoRD specification-2004) for PC. Instructions issued from time to time by MoRD regarding bitumen VG-10 will be followed strictly.
Pdg& laying 50mm BM using the reclaimed material to the extent of 30% of the required quantity, hauling and stockpiling the reclaimed material near the central recycling plant after carrying out necessary checks and evaluation, adding fresh material including rejuvenators as required, mixing in 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, with appropriate arrangement for use of R.A.P., transporting and laying at site with hydraulic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade and compacting to the required grade level and thickness with appropriate rollers all as specified in clause 519 (5th Revision) of 2013 using bitumen VG-30. (minimum Bitumen's 3.40% i/c bitumen of retrieved material as per job mix formula). Note: -1. The milled material to be used in BM shall be minimum 80% of the theoretical quantity. 2. If bitumen required more than 3.40% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be paid extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work. 3. The unutilized quantity of reclaimed bituminous mix material shall be a recovery mentioned in DNIT 4.Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & Stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. The anti-stripping agent should conform to the requirement as stipulated in IS 14982:2017. The cost so incurred will be considered as incidental to work and noting extra shall be payable. The type and brand of anti-stripping agent along with procedure shall be approved by SE-in-Charge in writing before start of work. A proper record of results be maintained and same shall be submitted along with bills by the contractor.
Providing and Laying 50 mm thick Compacted bituminous macadam in (BM) in one layer by 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant and paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade as per clause No. 504 table No. 500-4 of MoRD specification using minimum 3.4 % bitumen grade VG-30 as binder content by weight of total mix, complete in all respects i/c cost of bitumen, instruction issued from time to time by MoRD regarding machinery & bitumen will be followed strictly. The use of self propelled mechanical paver fitted with electronic sensor device conforming to MoRD specification in mandatory. If bitumen required is this account more than 3.4% as per job mix formula no extra payment will be made, extra bitumen required will be considered as incidental to work Complete in all respect. 2. Before carrying out bituminous work, coating & Stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is to be performed in accordance with IS-6241. If coating and stripping of bitumen aggregate mix is less than 95%, anti-stripping agent will be used by contractor. Providing laying and rolling of open graded pre mix carpet (PC) of 20mm thickness composed of 13.2 to 5.6 aggregates using bitumen VG-10 @1.36 kg per sqm. (93% bitumen) and processed waste plastic @ 0.10 Kg/Sqm (Waste Plastic 7%) as per IRC SP -98 -2013 to required line , grade and level to serve as wearing course on previously prepared base , including mixing in a suitable plant, transported to site , laying with paver finisher and rolling with three wheeled 80-100 kn static roller capacity or with other approved equipment, finished to required level and grades as per MoRD specification clause 508. Providing and fixing of typical PMGSY informatory/maintenance sign board with logo as per MoRD specification and drawing.Three MS plates of 1.6mm thick, top and middle plate duly welded with S flat iron 25mmX5mm size on back on edges,25mmX25mmX5mm. The angle iron frame of the lower most plate and flat iron frme of middle plate will be welded to 2 nos,.75mmX75mm of 12 SWG sheet tubes posts duly embedded in cement concrete M-15 grade blocks of 450mmX450mmX600mm below ground level. The top most diamond plate will be welded to middle plate by 47mmX47mm of 12 SWG steel plate tube . All MS will be stove enamelded on both sides. Lettering and printing arrows, border etc. will painted with ready mixed synthetic enamel paint of superior quality in required shade and colour. Providing & Marking center line / side line 2.5mm thick (minimum) with hot applied thermo-plastic road marking paint 10cms wide complete in all respect such as furnishing all labour, materials, tolls equipments including all incidental costs necessary for carrying out in work at site confirming to the technical specification as clause No. 1702 of MoRD specification . Each container of the thermoplastic material shall have the name trademark or other means of identification of manufacturer, batch number, date of manufacture color maximum application temperature and maximum heating temperature. The thermoplastic paint material shall be of Asian Paint-Apcomark/Berger-Sigmarc/Prismo. The glass beads shall be of Potters/Sovitec/Fleolite. The thermoplastic material shall be sampled and tested in accordance with appropriate ASTM/BS method. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge a copy of certified test reports from the manufacturer of the thermoplastic material meet all requirement of the specifications. The reflectorzing glass beads shall meet the requirement of clause 803.4.2 and test methods mentioned in clause 803.4.2.4 shall be meticulously followed. The minimum thickness specified is exclusive of surface of glass beads .the method of thickness measurement shall be in accordance with appendix B and C of BS:3262 (part-3). Note:- Before start of work the contractor shall give brand , batch no. , manufacturing date of the material to be used and get approved the same from Engineer-In-Charge before use.
