Item- 7 ITEMS OF WORKS THAT ARE COVERED UNDER USSOR 2021 AS APPLICABLE TO CHENNAI DIVISION FOR STEEL GIRDER CAMEL BACK TYPE (ROB)
Providing and fixing in position of standard preformed sealed and slab type or strip
seal elastomeric type expansion joints for Railway bridge or Road Over Bridges as
per approved drawings and latest MORTH/IRC specifications complete in all
respect as directed by Engineer in-charge.
Supplying, fabrication, assembling of all types of steel girders of specified spans
with structural steel conforming to Quality "B0" Grade Designation E250
conforming to IS:2062, erection / slewing / end launching of steel girders with
cranes or any other approved launching methods as per site conditions (not
requiring traffic block) on sub-structure including provision of trolley refuges etc.,
complete as per approved QAP and drawings conforming to IRS-B1-2001 and other
relevant codes and specifications. Note: 1. Detailed fabrication and erection
drawings & launching methodology will be prepared by the contractor and got
approved from Railway. 2. The rate is all inclusive including launching in position,
complete in all respect except cost of (i) Painting / Metalising; (ii) Bearings & (iii)
HSFG bolts which shall be paid extra under relevant item. 3. The payment shall be
made on the theoretical weight of main components and gusset plates only. 4.

relevant specifications and process given under Clause 39 of IRS-B1-2001. Note:
Nominal Thickness of sprayed Aluminium coating shall be 150 microns. DFT of Zinc
chrome primer shall be 25-30 microns and DFT of each coat of Aluminium paint

Using Soil Class SQ2 Provision of barricading with contractor's bamboos / ballies vertical post of 100mm dia. planted at every 2m interval, projecting at least 1.5m above ground level and driven firmly (minimum 0.5m) inside ground and including painting verticals & horizontals with red luminous paints / strips at alternative bay on barricade. Barricades shall be maintained through out the execution of the work and shall be removed in workman like manner on completion of the work only after instruction of Engineer in-Charge. Note: (1) 60% payment shall be made on provision of barricading at work-site and balance 40% payment after removal of barricades. (2) The released bamboos / ballies shall be the property of the Contractor.

Removing, screening and salvaging ballast from track, duly digging / scarifying cum ballast by beaters / wire brushes or any mechanical means, leveling and dressing formation with specified cross slope after salvaging ballast, separating muck by screening the salvaged ballast with contractor's 20mm size sieve, stacking of screened ballast for measurement, disposing off muck at specified locations with all lead & lifts as directed by Engineer in-charge. Providing Caution Watchman at a location where caution order is imposed and ensuring to be on continuous vigil and exhibit necessary hand signals to the trains for their passage over caution spot. Note: 1) Prescribed protection equipment shall be supplied by Railways and the same shall be returned after work is over. 2) If Contractor fails to post watchman at any time during one day, penalty at double the accepted rates will be levied and 3) The watchman nominated by the contractor will be screened for suitability as per Railway norms.

Manufacturing, fabricating and supplying retro-reflective Engineering Indicator boards, made of 2mm thick aluminium sheet or 3mm thick aluminium composite sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity encapsulated type heat activated retro-reflective sheeting conforming to type-IV of ASTM-D4956-01 in yellow & black or other colour combination including subject matter, message, symbols, borders etc. as approved by Engineer In-charge or as per IRPWM guidelines, pasted on substrate by an adhesive backing which shall be activated by applying heat and pressure conforming to class-2 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets @ 20 cm c/c to back-support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25mm x25mm x 3mmprovided all along the edges of board with theft resistant measures back side of board shall be with non- peelable weatherproof paint, consisting of one coat of zinc chromate primer and two coats of epoxy paint. Item Breakup - B2-ITEMS OF WORKS THAT ARE NOT COVERED UNDER USSOR 2021/DSR 2023 (FOB)
'Supply of structural Stainless Steel of grade IRS 350 CR as per latest RDSO MT guidelines as per approved drawings. Structural Stainless Steel of grade IRS 350 CR manufactured by the electric arc furnace process. Incase of any other process is employed by the manufacturer, prior approval of RDSO shall be obtained. All structural stainless steel shall be procured as per specifications of RDSO GRADE IRS 350CR (Ref: RDSO Document No.BS-S-7.5.3.1-9, Dt: 17.12.2020) and bolts (GR B8 Class 2), nuts (GR 8) and washers (Type 303) conforming to ASTM A193, ASTM A194 (Ref: RDSO Document No.BS-S-7.5.3.1-9, Dt: 17.12.2020) respectively. Independent tests shall be conducted, wherever required, to ensure that the materials procured conform to the specifications. The Stainless Steel shall be procured only from those firms, which are established, reliable, indigenous and fully integrated manufacturers/producers with melting of Stainless Steel like Jindal Stainless Limited / Jindal Stainless (Hisar) Limited / Salem Steel Plant (SAIL) or equivalent. Note:The rates of this item includes contractor's own design of the whole Bridge as per RDSO guidelines and specifications and latest relevant IS/ASTM Codes including proof check by IIT. The design has to be approved by the Railway. Rate also includes cost of all material,labour with all leads and lifts,loading/unloading,all taxes,transportation etc complete as per direction of Engineer in charge. Payment schedule: (i) After fabricated girder reached at site - 55% (ii) After erection/launching.(Cost of Erection/Launching is included in the item of fabrication) =20% (iii)After completion including painting & finishing. Providing lighting arrangement on hiring basis with contractor's supply of genset Each and and other fixing materials at particular location of work includes fixing of 4x500 W halogen lights with necessary fittings for night time working as per stipulated norms and lighting the same by means of contractor's supply of 2.5 KVA or higher capacity portable genset, including all luminaries, cables, fuel and tripods. The lights along with genset and necessary fittings either be deposited with SSE/Bridges in charge or can be taken to the stores by the contractor after successful completion of night block on a daily basis. One genset operator and 3 helpers are to be made available for transporting and fixing the lights from the SSE/Bridges depot. (All labour, tools, materials, , are to be supplied by the contractor only at his own cost.) (Note: Unit- Each denotes per gen set)
Trucking out of released materials from site of work to Dy.CMM /GSD/PER or any MT other nominated locations specified by the Engineer-in-charge by road or any other means including loading, unloading and leading by contractor's own vehicle or any other means and labours etc complete. including all men, materials, tools and plants and any other incidental works arise if necessary, hiring of road vehicle/tractor/trailor leading charges, loading and unloading charges are to be borne by the tenderer/contractor and as directed by the engineer-in charge. Supply, fabrication and fixing of protective screens of size 4.00m x 1.80m made Each out of steel conforming to IS2062-1984 Gr-A in three pannels as shown in RDSO Plan No. mod H including fabricating steel structures confirming to IS99-62 or its latest version are as follows (i)end panel of size 1.550x1.80m with three sides using MS angles of 35x35x6mm and the gap to be covered with 10G expanded metal of size 50x20mm by means of tack welding. (ii)Middle pannel of size 0.90x1.80m with MS Tee of size 50x50x6mm at ends and MS angle 35x35x6mm at top and bottom and the gap to be covered with 16G, GI sheet fitted with 10mm dia GI bolts. (iii) Painting the screen with two coat of aluminium paint over one coat of primer of approved quality. (iv) Fitting the screen by the means of 1 bolts of size 100mm dia at 300mm centers in the over head structures to suit site conditions. (v) Complete all the works as shown in the plan and also as directed by the Engineer-in-charge with all lead and lift. (All labour and materials by the contractor) individual rate for the sub items (i) to (v) should not be quoted are only guidance only. Consolidated rate covering all the above works is to be quoted.

Design of sheet pile will be inside the scope of the work & shall be approved by Kg Geotechnical consultant, supplying, cutting, fixing and fabricating steel sheet pile of required shape, size, thickness, depth and weight conforming to IS-2314 including loading, unloading, leading assembling and driving at site as directed by site engineer including all labour, material and taxes as a complete job. Work shall be executed as per provision of Appendix- VII of IRS - B1-2001 and provision contained in chapter 21 of Indian Railway Unified standard. Specifications. Note: 1. The working section is double4 line between Chennai central to Sullurpetta station which is electrified. 2. The necessary traffic cum OHE blocks will be arranged and provided normally of duration varying from 90mm to 120mm daily. 3. Minimum 2 nos of vibro hammers have to be deployed in order to optimize the use of traffic cum OHE block. 4. Since the block is to be carried out, at manned and interlocked level crossing, all out efforts will be made to provide the site clear of S&T and other cable.5. The work is to be executed in close vicinity of running track having 25KV traction, all necessary protection and precaution will have to be taken. 6. Arrangement Gas cutting equipment must be made by the contractor during the block to clear and infringement happening due to sheet piling'.
