Disinfection and cleaning of Underground Sump and Overhead water tanks at AMD office building and residential complex, Central Region, Nagpur

Scientific cleaning and sterlization of RCC/PVC/Plastic Underground/Over head water tanks of any capacity shall consist following operations:-

Dewatering of tanks : Dewatering the tank with submersible pump or with suitable arrangement,desilting and removing of left over dirty water upto 100 to 150 mm in bottom as per instructed by Engineer In-Charge

Exterior Cleaning: Cleaning the roof top, manholes and external walls of the water storage tanks will be cleaned thoroughly for any traces of dirt, mud and and algae present in the close vicinity.

High pressure interior cleaning: Cleaning of walls and ceiling with special mechanized high pressure jet machines by rotary jet system at 100-120 Bar pressure (120 Kg/sq cm) which dislodge the layers of dirt,algae,fungus stuck on its surface usase of scrubbing machines for old stain.

Sludge removal: The dirty water and sludge collected in the previous operations will be removed using industrial sludge pumps and dispossed off properly, away to a safer place so as not to contaminate the water.The floor of the water storage tanks should be again cleaned thouroughly using high pressure jet stream so as to remove all the remaining dirt which may be sticking on the floor even after the removal of sludge slurry.

Drying of tanks: The water storage tanks should be dried using industrial vaccum cleaners with Sludge Sucker should be a part of the High Pressure system which sucks sludge and throws the same out of Tank this must handle solid particles as well to make the floor totally dirt free.

Antibacterial Spraying: Application/Spraying of anti bacterial chemical (NON TOXIC,BIO-DEGRADABLE, ECO FRIENDLY) which would ensure all the interior walls,ceiling and floor surface of the water storage tanks totally germs free.The antibacterial chemicals dose utilized should be safe as per the OECD guidelines 423 adopted on 17th december 2001.

Sterlization using Ultra violet Radiation: Inside of tank should be treated with specially developed 4 ft long ultravoilet radiator to kill further floating bacteria/virus in order to make the tank totally clean , bacteria free and safe for storage of drinking water. Note : All the above operation should be excuted by trained workers and technacians , properly dressed along with gum boot to work as per direction of Engineer in charge.All safty gadgets like safty belt , Special Safty Ladder, Helmets, Heavy Duty Gum boots, Electric Safty Gloves and Special working Gloves, Safty Goggles, Masks, Apron etc for complete security and safe operations be used by operators.Storage and cleaning equipments like Scrubbers/Wipers, Storage drums,Sludge collectors and cistern etc. must be integral part of system.( Rate included cost of writing date of cleaning with paint after removing the old date by painting all complete.

Note-1: General Notes 1.For their own interest, contractors are advised to inspect the site with prior permission before quoting their rates. 3. All the samples of materials which are to be used shall be approved by the department in advance. 4. The contractor shall comply with the provision of the Payment of Wages act 5. Rates quoted shall be inclusive of all cost of materials, labour, carriage, taxes, GST, labourcess, water charges, elctricity charges, signorage charges, wastages etc.. 6. Rates quoted shall be excluding the amount of EPFO and ESIC contributions. EPFO and ESIC contributions are reimbursable on production of valid proof of payment made by the contractor as per CPWD norms.
