Soil investigation report as per IS code in general and containing the following in particular :-
The following parameters must be included in the Geo-Exploration Report:
(a) RL (Reduced Level) of ground and founding levels with respect to a benchmark must be clearly mentioned. Bore hole locations and ground level should be clearly marked on the "Site Plan" or "Layout Plan" of the proposed buildings.
(b) Recommended Safe Bearing Capacity (SBC) must be provided for Ail bore holes for Depths: 1.5m, 2.0m, 2.5m; and following Footing sizes:1.5 x 1.5m 1.5 x 2.5m ;2.0 x 2.5m 2.0 x 3.0m 2.5 x 3.0m
(c) Photographic record of exploration/testing must be included. Remaining soil/rock samples after lab tests should be handed over to AGE B/R or the Engineer-in-Charge.
(d) Liquefaction potential for saturated or loose/uncompacted sandy soils must be assessed.
(e) Swelling Index and Pressure must be provided for Black Cotton Soil, including depth/layer.
(f) Ground Water Table (GWT) depth during peak monsoon and peak summer should be determined, with seasonal correlation, if encounterd.
(g) Recommendations if any for: Floor filling: Subsoil improvement Soil stabilization (under floor and foundation systems)
