Construction of Artificial Gravel Packed production tube well by way of drilling /boring at the predetermined / identified spot/site. The drilling /boring shall have to be carried out by Mechanical drilling mechanism/s by Direct Rotary Method/ Reverse Circulation Method in accordance to the drilled exploratory strata encountered at the identified spots. The type of well to be constructed shall be strictly as per strata encountered. The drilling shall have to be done in all kinds of soils , Boulders , Rocks , Collapsible strata , saturated soils etc with the requisite accessories required there of including Bentonite mud , foam , water Lubricants etc. The casing / Water Bank casing shall be as under; a) Casing of well = 300 mm b) Dia of Bore well = >500 < 550 mm The total length of bore / casing of the production well shall be up to 140 mtrs and provision for accumulation of loose material during development process shall also be kept as per necessity and requirement .Length of casing to be lowered < 140 meters and in case the aquifer layer encountered in terms of depth and positioning is not adequate the drilling may proceed further to be decided by the concerned departmental representative .

Providing, Lowering and fitting of Heavy duty M.S .Casing pipe seamless . The jigs and fixtures for lowering the casing pipe are provided by the firm. Providing and Shrouding of Pea Gravel of assorted size around annular space between the casing pipe and the well surface has to be filled with a gravel pack to act as a filter medium. (Quantity shall be subject to the actual measurements at site) The gravel shall confirm to IS-5097 of 1967.

Development of Tube Well and Yield Test : The job shall also include all related activities necessary for carrying out construction of production tube well not specifically specified in the NIT/allotment order . The development of the well as is self-explanatory and is carried out by inserting high pressure of air compressed air till the well is completely cleaned and loose material is flushed out to ensure potable water . The job shall be followed by a yield test working out the draw down and discharge yield of the well . The job shall not be limited to the yield test with only one rated submersible pump / motor but with multiple pump sets (minimum 2 Sets) Development of well by compressor = 04 hrs/mtr of screen. Yield test of well by pumps = As applicable All other terms and conditions shall be framed as per relevant standards and shall confirm to IS-2800 of 1979 Codes and standards as applicable . Anchoring; The Well Casing Assembly shall be anchored with 02 No. Sections of ISMC-100 of not less than 10 ft Each.
