M/L preparing existing black top surface by brushing with wire brushed for removing caked mud etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning to cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc from black top surface , Applying evenly a premix /tack coat with bitumen grade VG-10 @ 5.0 Kg per Ten Sqm complete all as specified and as directed.
Providing and laying Premix Bituminous macadam of consolidated thickness n. exc. 75mm, using paving bitumen binder of grade VG-30 @ and binder content of 4% by weight of total mix with mixing of aggregates and VG-30 bitumen in electronic operated 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant, transporting the hot mix from HMP to work site by tippers and laying with hydrostatic paver finisher (Paver shall not be compulsory in case of patch work using B.M.) and as per approved mix and rolled & compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 12 tonne smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem roller, complete all as per Clause 504 MoRTH (5th Rev) specification and as specified and directed. NOTES : 1. The contractor shall quote the rate against Item considering 4% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CI. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BM shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech Patiala/NIT Kurukhshetra /PEC Chandigarh/CTL for obtaining optimum binder content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval. Any variation in binder content on minus side shall be adjusted @ 42/kg of binder and no adjustment shall be made on plus side. 2. The BM shall be covered with top layer/wearing course within in a maximum of 48 hours. If there is to be any delay, by the contractor the course shall be covered by seal coat to the requirement of Clause 512 of MORTH (5th Rev) before opening to the traffic. The seal coat in such cases shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be paid for separately. 3. Only packed paving bitumen VG-30 shall be used and same shall also be verified by GE on ground before start of execution of work.

NOTES : 1. The contractor shall quotes the rate against Item considering 5.5% VG-30 bitumen content. Job Mix Formula as per CIause. No. 505.3.3 of MORTH (5th Rev) for BC shall be worked out from Thapar Insti. of Engg & Tech. Patiala/ NIT Kurukshetra/ PEC Chandigarh/ CTL for obtaining Optimum Binder Content (OBC) by the Contractor without any financial effect to the Dept and same be submitted to the accepting officer for approval. Cost of filler i.e. cement (Ordinary portland cement/OPC) is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate. 3. After spreading of mix as per clause 507.4.7 entire surface during the operation shall be rolled with road roller 8-10 tonne (smooth wheeled) followed with vibratory road roller of 8-10 tonne static weight, followed by finished rolling with 6 to 8 tonne smooth wheel tendom roller as per Clause Nos. 507.4.8 and cost of the same is deemed to be included in quoted unit rate.
Repairs to pot holes any depth not exceeding 1.00 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scouring sunken surfacesin roads, path etc cutting edges at least 25 mm depth and making good by applying tack coat with bitumen @ 5 Kg/X Sqm, putting in premix bituminous macadam using paving bitumen of grade VG-30 well rammed and sealed with binder @ 9.80 kg mixed with 0.09 cum of stone chippings 6.3 mm size per 10 Sqm and again well rammed including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chipings, depth of pot holes exe 30mm thick, complete all as specified and directed. Note : Pot holes shall be marked by Engineer-in-Charge before commencement of work and same shall be entered in the MB after making good and before laying of bituminous premix carpet.
M & L for 2.5mm thick road marking thermo plastic reflective paint to be carried out mechanically with hot application of material (painting material @ 5 Kg /Sqm ) and glass beads @ 250 gm/Sqm confirming to CI No. 803.4 of MoRTH in strips of 100/150 mm width on road surfaces complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
S&F road cat eye 100X100x20mm meeting with ASTM and MoR&TH standards with yellow reflector yellow body colour and two side lens all as specified. The studs shall be fixed to the road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per manufacturers recommendation complete all as specified and directed.

S&F Road sign board made out with two nos posts using stainlesssteel (SS) pipe 75 mm dia, 2.40m high with stainless steel (SS) flat of size 40 x 5 mm duly fixed with ACP sheet 1200 x 950 x 5 mm thick laminated with radium paper including writing / sign with radium tap roll / paper both side of board including all necessary drilling, bolting or riveting, welding etc, fixed as in post hole and grouted in PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 complete all as directed by Engineer in Charge.
S&F in repair solar stud of 3 LED's of colour red / yellow on one side (total 6 Nos) housed in tough pressure die-casted aluminium alloy of size 125mm x 125mm of height 200mm with built in stress nail 37mm x 37mm x 55mm long for fixing Epoxy LED's solar cell, battery and light sensor well protected inside under tough unbreakable polycarbonate transparent sheet roof system workable for 2-3 days (night) after full charge in 8 - 10 hrs complete all as directed by Engineer in Charge.
