CERTAIN REPAIRS TO RUNWAY AND ANCILLARIES INCLUDING RUNWAY PAINTING AND GRASS CUTTING, JUNGLE JIM IN TECHNICAL AREA AT AF STATION CHANDIGARH

Material and labour for painting one coat of water based paint after preparation of surfaces as per manufacturer's instructions for making lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc. on bituminous/ concrete roads, pavement, runways and other like surfaces exc. 10 cm width or girth, with road marking paint/ traffic paint (water based) conforming to the requirements of IS-164 (1981) of white, golden, yellow, deep orange, PO Red and black tint as per the requirement of AF Authorities by using fully/semi automatic paint applicator machine (using cold airless spray/ striper machine with minimum two spray guns) including scrapping existing water based paint/ reflective paint manually by wire brush, steel scraper and brooming down the surfaces complete including removal of debries outside the runway area as directed, complete all as specified and directed .

Material and labour for applying road marking strips with water born paint (WBR) having DFT 240 micron (retoreflective), by using fully/semi automatic paint applicator machine (using cold airless spray/ striper machine with minimum two spray guns), driven by experienced operater on road surface, including application of high index glass beads @ 500 gms per square metre (TTB1325 Type-III) after cleaning the road surface of all dirt, oil, grease, foreign material etc, in accordance with applicable specifications on bituminous surface/concrete, colour of paint shall be white/ yellow/ Black/ red or any colour as approved at site by AF Authorities, marking exceeding 10 cm in width or girth as per recommended dimensions as directed, Make/specifications of the machine to be deployed shall be as under:- Graco line lazer 3900 with 2 guns and the maximum GPM (LPM): 160(6.0). PSI (Bar):3300(227), Engine CC(hp):120cc and maximum tip size:0.029, complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and operating two tractors (with operators) with jungle jims for removal of grass shrubs/ vegetation scrapping/ cutting or ploughing with (Harrow/ Cultivator) on requirement basis (within 48 hours of notice/ demand) and two labourers for removing the rubbish from the site outside MoD land, complete all as specified and directed. Note(s): (i) Providing and operating two tractors with jungle jims alongwith operators (+) two labourers shall be measured as one unit i.e. one Hour. (ii) In case requirement is for one tractor (with operator) with jungle jims and one labourer, payment under this item shall be reduced by 50% i.e. half unit shall be considered against one hour working.

Providing and operating three tractors (with operators) with jungle jims for removal of grass shrubs/ vegetation scrapping/ cutting or ploughing with (Harrow/ Cultivator) on requirement basis (within 48 hours of notice/ demand), complete all as specified and directed. Note(s): (i) Providing and operating three tractors with jungle jims alongwith operators shall be measured as one unit i.e. one Hour. (ii) In case requirement is for one/or two tractor(s) with jungle jims alongwith operator(s), payment under this item shall be reduced accordingly i.e. 1/3rd or 2/3rd (as applicable) shall be considered against one hour working.

Providing and operating two bush cutters (with bush cutter blades) with operators for removal of grass shrubs/ vegetation scrapping/ cutting on requirement basis (within 48 hours of notice/ demand), complete all as specified and directed. Note(s): (i) Providing and operating two bush cutters with blades alongwith operators shall be measured as one unit i.e. one Hour. (ii) In case requirement is for one bush cutter with blades alongwith operator, payment under this item shall be reduced by 50% i.e. half unit shall be considered against one hour working.

Surface dressing not exceeding 15cm deep and getting out in soft/loose soil along the runway shoulder including grass vegetation, shrubs and earth work upto width of 3.0 metre from the edge of runway, taxiway, surrounding blast pens or similar work, complete all as specified and directed .

De-silting of drain at depth upto 1.50 metre by rough excavation for cleaning existing drain and getting out in muddy soil including cutting small bushes, small trees girth not exceeding 30 cm from sides of brick lined drain, including removing excavated materials exceeding 50 metre but not exceeding 250 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above from the starting point, complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

De-silting of drain at depth from 1.50m to 3.00 m by rough excavation for cleaning existing drain and getting out in muddy soil including cutting small bushes, small trees girth not exceeding 30 cm from sides of brick lined drain, including removing excavated materials exceeding 50 metre but not exceeding 250 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 metre above from the starting point , complete all as specified and directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Demolition of brick masonry work built in cement mortar including all quoins, arches, pillars, staging etc. and removal of rubbish outside MOD land, complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for brickwork using subclass 'B' old size bricks, straight or curved on plan exc 6m mean radius, built in cement mortar (1:4), complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour for rendering 15mm thick in cement mortar (1:4), on brick/concrete surfaces, finished even and fair, complete all as specified and directed.

Note: The Total amount shall subject to adjustment of credit of Rs. 4500.00 for old Materials as per Schedule of Credit.
