Modification in existing EI system as per latest TAN, it includes :- Design and modification in existing interface and interlocking circuit of EI system, including modification in VDU,CCIP,MT,Data logger, EI, Relay rack complete wiring conforming to RDSO specification, as per technical requirement & tentative approved signalling plan/diagrams. Required hardware will be 23 provided by railways except the wiring, material (i.e. connectors, interconnecting cable/wires, fuses etc.). The work includes supply of modified ST/LT, interface and logic circuit, CCIP/VDU diagram etc. to suit the approved interlocking plan. It also includes modification in data logger/MT, carrying out FAT, SAT jointly with railways and satisfactory commissioning of the modified EI with full complements as per approved IP and central railway practices. All Plans ans wiring diagrams shall be prepared on AUTOCAD and supplied in both soft copy and hard copies(6 sets).Alteration involving modification in more than 11 routes upto 20 routes (Inspection by consignee).
Supply of as made documents (Manuals for installation, testing and maintenance of the system) (One set consists six (06) sets of following documents per station). (i) Manual for installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of the system for Technicians/Jr.Engineers (Installation and maintenanace level). (ii) Functioning and system overview (Higher Management Level)(iii) Completion document as per speciala conditions of contract. (iv)Design & Supply of circuits and plans to suit layout given in the signaling plan for Hot Standby Architechture Electronic Interlocking (EI) system. All plans and wiring diagram shall be prepared on Autocad Drawing and supplied with CD. This will include supply of Control-cum-Indication Panel/VDU diagram, Square Sheet, Wiring Diagrams (Application Logic and Interface Circuit), Fuse Analysis, Contact Analysis, Tag Block Analysis, Power Supply Distribution / Power Equipment arrangement (with program switch) Diagram, Auto Change over diagram (if supplied by the contractor) and all other relevant drawings. 24 NOTE : The contractor shall initially supply 1 set of documents (Paper Prints) for approval of Railways. He shall ensure that each sheet has a block for signature of Railway Official as well as a block for signature of firm, duly signed by the authorised signatory of the firm. The name of the work as given by Railways shall be written on every sheet under the work column. All the drawing shall be supplied in a good quality folder for each station. After approval of documents by Railways, the contractor will make copies of the approved documents and return the approved document to Railways. The contractor then will make necessary correction to Application Logic Software duly incorporating Railways' alterations/corrections/comments, if any. After complete testing/commissioning of the station, tracings of completion documents as mentioned above will be submitted to Railways for approval. Alongwith the completion application logic, difference report (showing addition & deletion in different colours) as compred to earlier approved application logic also be submitted. After approval of completion application logic by Railways, 5 sets of copies of duly approved completion tracings will be submitted to Railways.

Any wrong jumper done by wireman will not be paid & correction shall be done free of cost. Jumper wires will be issued by Railways. Good quality solder rosin core (18 SWG PHILCO/KHOSLA MAKE) to be supplied by contractor for soldering of Jumper wires. Soldering of jumper wires to be done after completion of testing by Railways. Installation of earth electrode assembly as per Drg.No.RE/S&T/SIG/Tender/SK726/85 including earth wire connected through GI wire 8 SWG supported on M.S. flat of size 6mm x 40 mm to earth electrode as per drg. No. CR/S&T/SK-815 for sigg. Equipment such as lever frames, 13 apparatus case, signals, relay racks,block insruments, and etc. as per RE manual. The earth value should be less than 10 Ohms including the lead wire. The value should be measured in presence of Rly. supervisor. It should be documented and painted on earth enclosure made of concrete. (Only earth electrode will be supplied by Railway). All other material required for provision of earthing will be brought by the contractor.
Excavation of cable trench as per cable route plan, 1.0 mt. deep and 300mm wide along side the track in normal soil/strata, conforming to distances as per cable route plan and refilling after cable laying. This work includes covering of cable laid in trench by loose soil for a layer 14 of 50 mm thickness after clearing of route, bushes, etc. It shall be ensured that top of the cables laid is at a depth of 0.8 m or more. It if is less, then the width and depth shall be suitably increased and accordingly proportionate payment shall be made. In case depth of trench is not achievable due to site conditions proportionate payment will be made as per procedure. The work shall be done as per the extant practice on Central Railway and instructions of Railway Engineer at site. Drg. No. SK-805. ( cu. mtr)

Splicing (Jointing 2X24 F OFC) and testing of 24 fibre OF Cable and making the splice joint as per direction of site engineer with contractors own splicing machine and tools. Splice loss of each fibre should be less than or equal to 0.05db. Splice reflectence should be better than 60db.
Relay Contact break test of indoor relay wiring. Contractor shall depute Engineer, 29 Supervisor & wiremen technically qualified to carryout contact break testing as per approved circuit diagrams. Firm Engineer to sign circuit diagrams for break testing after carrying out the test in presence of Railway's site supervisor/Engineer. (A3 Size circuite per sheet)
Design and supply of Detailed Signalling Circuits including Panel diagram(if required) , Route section Plan , Selection Table , Fuse & Negative Tag. Analysis , Contact analysis , Relay Rack Arrangement and wire count sheets etc. in A3 size.Completion circuit shall be plotted in AutoCAD. The contractor shall initially supply 2 sets of circuits duly signed by the circuit designer having 31 substantial experience on design side for making such circuits, complete for approval of Railways. Railways will return one set of circuit to the contractor duly approved with alterations /corrections, if any. The contractor shall incorporate Railway's alterations/corrections in the original tracings & CD without any deviation and submit two copies of the modified circuits. Original tracings so modified & final CD complete in all respects alongwith 6 sets of final approved circuits (out of which one set shall be supplied in transparent bags. Only two sheets of circuits shall be placed in one bag each ) shall be submitted to the Railways in case there are no further alteration suggested by Railways. This also includes modification in yard.
Patching work in old location box consisting 1) Digging of pit, cleaning of earth from 32 all sides, breaking of seal of location boxes removal sand from location, marking of new cable holes 2) insertion of cable from ground 3) making place for cable termination in old location, shifting ARA, fuse etc after removal and termination including fixing of ARA. 4) Termination of cable in old location 5) Filling of sand and plastering to all sides upto 50mm below ground level.

Erection of CLS Post with Surface base and signal unit on top or on OFF set Bracket, 36 fixing of front and back staging, ladder and guards, signal name plates/boards if any with contractors own brackets and fixing materials. This also includes erection of auxiliary signals like calling on, shunt signal if any. The work shall be done as per instructions of Rly engineer at site.
Termination of tail cable on Main signal units and wiring with contractor own material, fixing of lenses etc. The work shall be done as per instruction of Rly engineer at site.
Installation of ON/OFF aspect LED's in signal including termination of tail cable on signal, wiring, fixing of LED units and testing. The work shall be done as per instruction of Railway Engineer at site
Transferring of signalling/Telecom cables from existing location box to New location box. The work include breaking/ dismantling of existing foundation of locations, excavating and removing / segregating coils of this cables which may be of about 10 mtr in length. These cables are then to be disconnected and removed from the existing locations one by one as per the instructions and under the supervision of railway staff present at site. The cable is then to be inserted and 39 terminated in new location box. The item includes neatly dressing of cables marking wiring tree etc. The material required for dressing / lacing will be arranged by contractor at its own cost. The work is required to be done systematically and with due precaution during the night block of 2.00 - 2.30 hrs each or within the time that may be allowed. The excavation work to be done carefully without damaging the cables to avoid undue failures.
