Note:-Comprehensing/ preventive Servicing includes the following :- 1. ENGINE:- 1.Check the oil level and charge if necessary 2.Clean/ replace the air cleaner element 3.Clean the cylinder head & cylinder liner fins for better cooling 4.Clean/replace the by pass filter element 5. Clean/replace the fuel filter element 6.Check the tightness of all the foundation bolts 7.Check the battery lead connection 8. Check the belt alignment & condition, if necessary adjust/replace it. 9.Check the Leakage in air intake/ exhaust piping hose connection 10.Clean/replace the oil filter element& diesel filter element. 11.Cleaning of radiator cooling fins and water circulating pipes by cleaning agent 12.Checking the smooth functioning of the engine and rectifying the defects if any

B) ALTERNATOR :- 1. Check for abnormal noise during running and rectifying it.2. Check the ventilation grill is free from dust for proper cooling3.Check the power cables connected terminal for tightness and proper lugs condition.4. Check for tightness of external fastener of coupling and adopter5. Put water in the earth pit 6. Check whether earthing connections are proper 7. Check the all AVR connection for proper tightness 8. Check carbon brushes centre position on slip ring 9. Check carbon brushes for wear and tear and proper spring tension on brushes10. Check for free movement of carbon brushes in brush holder11. Check for MX unit connections12. Start the DG set and observe the following parameters.a) Check for stable out put from alternator b) Check for balance load( unbalance should not be more than 10% of total load)c) Current---R--------Y------B------- d) Voltage---R---------y------b-------- e) Power factor if available----------- Note:- Spare parts will be measured and paid separately For Sr No-1 to 7

Repair to battery charger for DG set battery suitable for charging 2x12 Volts 180 AH battery complete with replacement of DC Ammeter, indicator lamp, MCB and any other hidden part to make it fully functional.

Dismantling the self starter of 250/320 KVA DG set after disconnecting all electrical and mechanical connection, transporting to work shop for rewinding with supper enameled winding wire of apropriate/ existing guage, varnishing, drying/backing , bench testingin work shop. transporting back to MES site, testing and checking the performance for trouble free and smooth functioning.

Supply & Fixing Battery lead with negative & positive brass terminal of suitable size with 2 M length of each lead all as directed.

Dismantling the Alternator of 250 KVA DG set after disconnecting all electrical & mechanical connections, transportation to the work shop for rewinding the rotor & field windings with supper enameled winding wire of appropriate/ existing gauge ,varnishing, drying/ backing, bench testing in work shop, transporting back to MES site, re assembling, testing, & checking the performance and out put of alternator for trouble free & smooth functioning.
