Supply & Installation, testing & commissioning of maintenance free earth consisting as per RDSOspecification No.RDSO/Spn/197/2016 with latest amendments and Latest RDSO TAN 3006dated:08/01/2025 consisting of single earth pit which includes supply of 35Sq. mm / 16Sq.mm / 10Sq.mm multistrand single core PVC insulated copper cable asper IS 694 forconnecting main earth electrode to MEEB in the equipment room in duplicate as permanufacturers recommendation and as per RDSO specification as follows: As per DrgnoSDO/RDSO/E&B/001 Dated19.09.08Set223471.48 a)Copper bonded staeel electrode of3.0Meter long,17mm dia with copper bonding thickness of minimum 250 microns and ULlisted andmarked - 1No. b) Earth enhancement compound of RDSO approved brand suppliedin sealed bag of minimum 10Kg. - 3Nos. c) Copper strip of 150 x 25 x 6mm to terminateearth rod - 1No. d) Copper strip of 300 x25 x 6 mm (MEEB) - 1No. e)Copper strip of 150 x25 x 6mm (SEEB) - 1No. f)Digging/Auguring/Borring ofsingle earth pit of 100mm to125mmdia to the depth of approximate 2.8M g) Insertion of 3 Mtr electrode and penetrating it atleast 0.2 Mtr. By pushing gently with sledge hammer where the neutral soilis assumed. h)Filling of earth pit with earth enhancement compound (EEC) in slurry form and back filling.i)Carrying out exothermic weld connection of single earth electrode to a copper tape of150 x25 x 6 mm j) Carying out exothermal weld connection on the copper tapeof 150 x 25 x 6 mmon earthe electrode for connecting two35 Sq.mm cable for redundancy k) The exo thermalwelding material for bonding the earth system shall be procured from RDSO approved firmswhich include graphite moulds, clamps, weld metal powder. l) 300 x 300 x 300mm (insidedimensions)concrete earth pit with aconcrete lid approximately50mm thick with pulling hooksshall be provided to cover thepit. Back side of the cover willbe painted in black and date oftesting and average resistance value shall be written. Note: The value of earth resistance per DP shall not be more than 1 ohm, for achieving this value if more than one no. of earth pitsare required then the same will be provided by contractor itself, no extra payment will bemade for that (as per site condition).
