2.75/5.00 meters wide (2.75 meters wide in straigth and 5.00 meters on curves) Excavation in soil in hilly area by mechanical means including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposal of excavated earth in all height and depths in all kinds of soil, including saturated soil comprising of pick work, jumper work and blasting work both in soft and hard rock with chiseling and wedging out of rock where blasting is prohibited and their intermediate classification of soils including dewatering wherever required, setting out true to the required lines, grades, side, slopes, trimming of bottom and levels as shown on the drawing and as directed by the Engineer.-in Charge. at site according to the HP.PWD specification of 1990 volume-I and sorting out useful and un-useful material and stacking the same in all leads and lifts and transportation of the un serviceable materials for filling in roadways, embankment s for grade improvement and leveling to required grades and then disposing of all surplus excavated materials in acquired width of the road or on approved dumping site /sites through all labours machineries materials, tools, equipments and safety measures and other incidental necessary to complete the work by mechanical means and or labour if any required . The recovery for stones, whether useful or not for 193.61 (one hundred ninety three point sixty one) Cubic Meter in all cases at the rate of Rupees 300/- only (Rupees three hundred only) per cubic meter shall be effected on pro rata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Preparation of sub grade by dressing to camber (Earth work for the cutting involved for sub-grade to be paid for separately depending upon the classification of soil completed as per HP.PWD specifications including entire carriage of materials in all leads and lifts.as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Consolidation of sub grade with road roller including making good the undulation etc. with earth or quarry soil etc. and re-rolling the sub-grade completed as per HP.PWD specifications including entire carriage of materials in all leads and lifts.as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

Stone soling properly hand packed filling interstices with Kharanja stone and consolidating with power road roller to the required gradient and camber including spreading watering and rolling of binding materials moorum or earth etc. complete as per HP.PWD specification 100mm spread thickness (finished work including materials and labour) including entire carriage of materials in all leads and lifts.as per directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.
