Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (hydraulic excavator) / or manual means for all kinds of works in roads, berms, drain, trenches, pavements, pits etc. in all types of soil for a depth up to 1.50m including removal of vegetation, shrubs, cutting and dressing of sides, leveling, grading and ramming of bottoms, getting out the excavated soil and disposal of surplus excavated material within initial lead of 100m. as directed etc. all complete, as per drawings, specification and direction of Manager-in-charge.

Earth work in filling by available excavated earth in road works such as embankment, berms /shoulder etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, breaking clods, watering and consolidating each deposited layer by ramming including re-excavating the deposited excavated soil to proper level including dressing as per specification and direction of Manager-in-charge with in a lift up to 1.5m and initial lead up to 50M.

Transporting and disposing the surplus earth, debris and soft rock including shrubs and vegetations from construction area beyond the initial lead of 50m including re-excavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, transportation, loading, unloading, laying at all depths and heights, stacking, levelling and dressing both the area (viz. from where the earth is transported and where it is deposited) to required levels and slopes complete with all lifts as directed. For carting on the basis of truck/ tractor measurement ,voids shall be deducted as per specification. Lead up to 3.0 km

Preparation and consolidation of sub grade with power road roller of 8-12 tonne capacity including excavating earth to an average of 22.5cm depth, dressing to camber and consolidating road roller including good the undulation etc and rerolling the sub grade and disposal of surplus earth lead up to 50m. (excess earth work beyond 22.5cm depth may be paid under item No.1)

Supplying, laying, and compacting of approved moorum in sub-base and berm of specified thickness including the cost of material, royalties, taxes, handling, transportation to site, stacking the same by the road side if required, spreading, rolling, watering and compacting with 8 to 10T power road roller , dressing to required slope in layers with all leads and lifts preparation to camber with all materials, labour, plants etc. complete as per specification and direction of Manager-in-charge. (Measurement shall be on consolidated thickness of layers).

Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate (size range 53 mm to 0.075 mm ) to wet mix macadam (WMM) specification including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed material by tipper to site, for all leads & lifts, laying in uniform layers with mechanical paver finisher in sub- base / base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density, complete as per specifications and directions of Manager-in-Charge. ( Requirement of ingredients for production of 1.0 Cum W.M.M. ( (a) Stone agreegate single size: 50mm nominal size 0.099 Cum. (b) Stone agreegate single size: 40mm nominal size 0.099 Cum. (c) Stone agreegate single size: 25mm nominal size 0.231 Cum. (d) Stone agreegate single size: 20mm nominal size 0.231 Cum. e) Crushed Stone 2.36mm to 12.5mm size 0.264 Cum. Scarifying metalled water bound road surface including disposal of rubbish lead up to 50mtr and consolidation of the aggregate received from scarifying with power road roller of 8-10tonne capacity in the road berm.

Providing and laying bituminous macadam using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading premixed with bituminous binder, transported to site by tippers, laid over a previously prepared surface with paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specifications , complete as per specificatons and directions of Manager-in-Charge.- 50 to 100 mm average compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 @3.50% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in Drum Type Hot Mix Plant of 60-90 TPH capacity. Mode of measurement same as item.13. Requirement of ingredients for production of 1.0 Cum bituminous macadam. ( a) Paving asphalt of grade VG-30 @ 3.5% by weight of total mix 76.83 Kg. (b) Stone agreegate single size: 25mm nominal size 0.282 Cum. c) Stone agreegate single size: 10mm nominal size 0.565 Cum. (d) Stone agreegate single size: 6mm nominal size 0.282 Cum. (e) Stone chippings/ screenings 4.75mm size 0.282 Cum. Weight of 1 Cum bituminous macadam is 2.195 MT. ) Mode of measurement : Measurement shall be made on volumetric basis . Volume of bitumenious macadam will be worked out by weight of BM recorded at weighbridge devided by density of BM of 2.195MT/ Cum. Weighment of tipper/ Hyva shall be recorded at weighbridge of Nalco steel yard. The bidder is requested to quote their price accordingly.

Providing and applying 2.5mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade/ colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully/semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign foreign material etc. complete as per direction of EIC and accordance with applicable specifications.

Providing and applying tack coat using bitumen emulsion conforming to IS: 8887, including preparing the surface & cleaning with mechanical broom with air compressor.-With rapid setting bitumen emulsion- On bituminous surface and WMM by mechanical sprayer @ 0.25kg/sqm

Providing and laying Bituminous concrete using crushed stone aggregates of specified grading, premixed with bituminous binder and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site by tippers, laying with paver finisher to the required grade, level and alignment and rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers as per specification, complete and as per directions of Manager-in-Charge. 25 to 40 mm compacted thickness with bitumen of grade VG-30 as per IS:73/2006 equivalent to bitumen 60/70 @5.5% (percentage by weight of total mix) prepared in drum Type Hot Mix Plant of 60-90 TPH capacity. Following materials is requried for production of 1 cum bitumenous concrete. (a) Paving asphalt of grade VG-30 of aprpoved quailiity @ 5.5%(percentage by weight of total mix 129.58 Kg. b) Stone agreegate single size: 12.5mm nominal size 0.223 Cum. (c) Stone agreegate single size: 10mm nominal size 0.408 Cum. d) Stone agreegate single size: 6mm nominal size 0.186 Cum. e) Stone chipping/ screenings 4.75mm nominal size 0.623 Cum. Weight of 1 Cum bituminous concrete is 2.356 MT. ) Mode of measurement : Measurement shall be made on volumetric basis . Volume of bitumenious concrete will be worked out by weight of concrete recorded at weigh bridge devided by density of BC of 2.356MT/ Cum. Weighment of tipper/ Hyva shall be recorded at weighbridge of Nalco steel yard. The bidder is requested to quoted their price accordingly.

Providing and laying seal coat of premixed fine aggregate ( passing 2.36 mm and retained on 180 micron sieve) with bitumen using 128 kg of bitumen of grade VG - 10 bitumen per cum of fine aggregate and 0.60 cum of fine aggregate per 100 sqm of road surface including rolling and finishing with road roller all complete as per direction of Manager-in-charge.

Providing and fixing Glow studs of size 100x20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite ) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro- prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating of 3M Make as approved by Manager in charge. The glow stud shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The slope of retro- reflective surface shall be 35 (+/-5) degress to base .The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM I: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4 : 1973. The studs shall be fixed to the Road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete,one year warranty etc as per direction of Manager-in-charge.

Carrying out tests (bitumen content and gradation test) as per relevant standards and specifications on daily basis after collecting sample of bituminous mix at HMP/site with own laboratory instruments ,consummables ,sieves ,weighing machine with 1 gm accuracy ,filter papers ,benzene,etc in the presence of NALCO representative as directed by M-I-C (1 set of test includes both bitumen content & gradation tests for three sample collected jointly)(2 sets of tests or more shall be done daily as per direction of MIC)

Surface dressing of the ground including removing vegetation and inequalities not exceeding 15 cm deep and disposal of rubbish, lead up to 50 m and lift upto1.5 m. -All kinds of soil to give proper slope to the shoulders towards storm water drain as per direction of Manager-in-charge.
