Design,Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of electrically operated, overhead traveling (EOT) cranes of capacity 05 Ton, conforming to IS : 3177 (latest revision), with span of 25 mtrs (approx), height of lift 6.5 mtrs (approx), travel length 25 mtrs (approx), suitable for operation on 415 Volts, 3 Phase, 4 wires, 50 HZ supply, double girder box type, with necessary steel supporting structures with Hoist speed 3mtrs / min and creep/micro speed 0.3mtr/min, cross travel speed 10 mtrs / min, long travel speed 10 mtrs / min with micro drive through clutch and geared motor of suitable capacities with control panel, power and controlling cables, confirming to relevant IS, controlled by pendent push button station and radio remote control switch of operation, with and including dia of steel rope of suitable size dia , operation system hoist / cross travel/ long tarvel / electrically operated with pendent DSL system of shrowded busbar type .
2. The crane will be put to use for 365 Days’ continuous duty with CT, LT and Hoist movements. 3. The department shall be responsible for providing suitably rated electrical outlet in the Main Electrical Control Panel/Main Distribution Board of the buildings (Refer Drawings). All other works, electrical earthings and associated incidental and minor works shall be the responsibility of the contractor. 4. The details of RCC brackets, End plates etc are shown in relevant drawings. The contractor shall certify that these are sufficient and meets the requirements of his design. 5. The shop floor environment will be dust prone, humid, welding fume filled and ambient temperature going up to 50ºC. Weather conditions are tropical. Crane shall be kept in the normal shop floor condition without any temperature controlled enclosure / shop. Max. temperature variation is 25 deg Celsius in 24 hours. Sound level should be minimum and the crane should have decent aesthetic look. Ambient Temperature: 4º C - 50º C & relative Humidity: 55%. 6. Major Technical specifications of the crane are given below. These are to be complied with by the contractor/manufacturer. The parameters which are not specified are to be as per Contractors'/OEM's own design. The contractor shall submit following drawings alongwith the design calculation folder ( for mechnical and civil design) , and get the drawings approved from the Accepting Officer . The drawings shall be complete in all respect.
Hoist: Hoist should be as per IS: 3938 (latest version) of STAHL, DEMAG, INDEF make. Only Low Head Room Hoist shall be acceptable. STRUCTURAL FABRICATION (Constructional Details): Bridge Girder: Shall be of Double Girder Box Type construction having Minimum vibrations. End Carriage: Fabricated from rolled steel sections / plates as per IS:2062 Raw Material: Only tested quality steel Fe 410 WB as per IS-2062, IS:1964 & IS:808 and certified for quality by reputed inspection authorities, shall be used. Number of Joints allowed: Single Joint Welding Electrodes for all Horizontal Welding: E 7018 Electrode only should be used. Welded Joint Testing: All Butt Welded Joints (both compression/ tension and flanges / web joints)shall be subjected to 100% X-Ray Testing and X-Ray Films to be produced for evaluation and form part of the completion documentation). Mechanical Joints: Fit Bolts (as per IS 3640 –1982) for all joints coming in main members. Heat Treatment & NDT Examination: The Trolleys shall be stress relieved, if necessary, by thermal heat-treatment process after welding & NDT. All welding shall be tested by NDT means [MPI, LPI & RT] after stress relieving operation (Govt. approved Test House & certificate). Manufacturer to furnish the details of facilities for Heat Treatment furnace & NDT Lab at their works. All the welded joints should be NDT tested by Govt. approved Test House & certificate / X-Ray films to be submitted at time of inspection.
Gear & Gear Boxes Details: Gear Box should be of fabricated type duly stress relieved. Pinions made of En 24 and gears of En 18. Gears in all the Stages shall be helical in design and to be of machined, lapped and hardened Straight and helical spur gearing shall normally be used for all motions. Worm and bevel gears shall not be used. First and high speed reductions shall be through helical gears. All first reduction pinions and also the other pinions if feasible shall be integral with the shafts. All gears shall be of hardened and tempered alloy or carbon steel with machine cut teeth. Gear tooth shall be cut in metric module system. Surface hardening of teeth is not allowed. The Gears / pinions should be hardened to HRC 50-55 and ground. Please note that gears and pinions must have pressure angle of 20° only. Lubrication: Suitable lubrication system shall be provided for gear box, all rotating parts wherever applicable. Details of the same to be furnished. Please indicate the type of Lub. Oil & grease, quantity also. Rope Drum: Shall be of fabricated type stress relieved or seamless pipe. The circumferential weld joints shall be tested by 100% X-Ray quality (Please mention the size). The size of drum shall be 265mm length 1050mm no. of groves each side 29nos . Wheel : Trade mean dia of wheel for cross and long travel shall be made of forged steel of suitable dia. Type of Coupling: Couplings should be flexible geared Barrel type. No pin / bush / rubber type coupling to be used. Machining Operation: All mechanical mating surfaces and wheel seating areas are to be machined to the required finish and protected. Hoist Wire Rope Details: Fiber core confirming to IS: 2266. With adequate Wire rope, No. of fall -08 6x36 constructions with adequate minimum breaking load. Input Power Supply: Shall be 415 ± 10% Volts, 50 ± 3% Hz, 3 Phase, AC.
Control Voltage: Shall be 110V AC. Protection: All Panels, Limit-Switches and Motors shall have IP 54 protection. Motor Details: Squirrel Cage Induction Crane duty motors having 960 RPM, Totally enclosed, fan cooled, ( TEFC) Insulation Class-F & confirming to relevant latest IS:325, and IS-123, S4 duty, 150 starts per hour and 40% CDF and contractor to provide other details like No. of motors, capacity of motor, Frame size, make, type and No. of poles etc.Hoisting motor with design calculation. Type & details of Brakes for all motions: Conical rotor type or "Fail to safe" action type Electromagnetic shoe / disc brakes type to be provided to hold the mechanism in position instantaneously as soon as the power supply is 'OFF' either accidentally or intentionally for all motions. Brake wheel dia for hoisting shall be 150mm having breaking forged 9Kg/m Model MDT-150 . (xvi) Common base frame of sturdy design suitable for antivibration mounting and permanent concrete foundation for mounting engine and alternator as per manufacturers instructions ( C) CONTROL PANEL/AMF Panel: Control panel & AMF Panel shall be indoor cubical type made out of suitable thick CRCA sheet complete factory made dust and vermin proof, totally enclosed with front opening of 415V 3 phase, 4 wire system AC 50 Hz, having Aluminium busbar of capacity suitable for 110% full load of 128 KW generating set with relays, contactors, timers, switchgears, indicators, switches and standard accessories as per manufacturers instructions (D) Accoustic insulated enclosure/canopy for Generating set:- Accoustic enclosure shall be factory built suitable and conforming to the provisions of environment (protection) second amendment rules 2002 issued vide notification no. GSR371(E) dated 17 May 2002 at Sl No 94 (Para 1&3) (noise limit for warded DG Set upto 1000KVA type) and tested complete. NOTE:- The capacity of generator set shall be net after all de-rating factors as per relevant design.

M and L for Earthing complete with GI earth plate electrode 60 cm x 60 cm x 6 mm thick buried directly in ground, (Earth pit not less than 2.25 mtr deep below ground level) with top edge of plate not less than 1.5 mtr below normal ground level, connected to and including 25 x 4 mm GI earth strip by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized standard iron or steel all as specified or indicated in electrical plate no 3 of MES Part-I, including testing on completion including the material and labour of the following: (a) Excavation and earth work for drilling hole for electrode in any type of soil. (b) PCC pit in cement concrete 1:2:4 type B-1. (e) 40 mm nominal bore light grade GI protection pipe 5 mtr long for protection of earthing lead from mechanical injury or tempering. (f) Requisite quantity of common salt and charcoal. (g) Testing of earthing. Notes: (i) On testing after completion of earthing, if the desired earth resistance is not less than 5 ohm obtained, the earthing will be re-done by the contractor at his own risk and cost to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer-in-Charge.The unit rate includes GI pipe up to 7.5m for protection of earth lead.
(ii) The unit rate includes main earthing lead/strip from earth electrode to test point up to 7.5 meter (iii) In case measured value of earth resistance is recorded more than 5.0 ohms then the Earthing shall be re- done by the contractor without any extra cost to the department (iv) If there is a requirement of grid Earthings to achieve the desired earth resistance, as directed by Eng-in-charge, then inter connecting of different earthings shall be done at no Extra cost

M and L for Advance chemical Maintenance free earthing system based on ground soil resistivity condition including surveying and testing of soil strata and providing the solution to achieve Earthing resistance less than one ohm. with and including necessary earthwork & excavation or boring the required nos of holes in any type of soil, refilling with good earth and backfill compound, removing excavated soil, levelling and making good the surrounding of earth pit all as specified and directed by Engineer in charge. Chemical earthing complete with copper earthing plate electrode of size 900x600x5mm thick buried directly into ground vertically to the depth not less than 5.0 metre below normal ground level with top edge of earth plate not less than 4.0 metre below normal ground level,surrounding on the all size by charcoal, common salt and magnisium sulphate(or any chemical recommended by manufacturer for increasing earth conductivity) starting from the ground below earth plate in alternate layers including replacement of excavated soil with artificially treated soil (soil having low resistivity) connected to copper strip of size 50 x 6 mm earth lead by means of copper lugs, nut, bolts and washers, earthing strip protected by 50mm bore light grade GI pipe in floor and fixed with wall with proper size of Fe clamps and watering pipe 20 mm bore GI light grade including wire mess , funnel PCC earth chamber pit with 1:2:4 type b-1 (using 20 mm graded crushed stone aggregate) including form work cement mortar with height 300mm above normal pit, excavation and earth work in any type of soil including testing on completion for desired result of 1 Ω all as shown and specified in plate No 3 of SSR part-I 2009 complete all as specified and directed.

(h) No of electrodes can be increaed wherever required as recommened by original manufacturer to achive desired result (i.e. below 1 Ohm) without any extra cost. (i) The earth enhancing compound shall be highly conductive and anti-corrosive having chemical composition of required quantity Bentonite 40%. Copper Sulphate 10%, gypsum 5%, Graphite 10%, Alum 5%, Zinc Sulphate 10%, Aluminium Sulphate 10% surrounded by soil friendly backfill compound 10% non-soluble in water with recommended quantity 25 kg/bag x 9 Bag/Earth Pit all as specified and directed. (j) In case of requirement of replacing the earth around the electrode with high conducting earth, the same shall be done without any extra cost and quoted rate is inclusive for the complete job.
(k) The complete job is inclusive of Forming of grid Earthing system to achieve desired result as directed and specified by engr in charge with interconnecting all the earthing electrode seperated by appropriate distance with and including provn of copper earth strips of require size to make ring earth and connected upto test point terminal with brazing and to be burried in appropriate depth not less than 40cm below normal ground level all as specified and as directed.
