'A. ROAD WORKS:

'Earthwork in Excavation for Road Construction

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator) over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-in- charge. All kinds of soil.

EARTHWORK IN EXCAVATION by manual means: Earth work excavation in Manual Mode below ground level in all kind of Soil for all kind of works in foundation including pipe / cable trenches, pavements, manholes, footings, pipelines, pipe sleepers, drains, ug pits etc. including all labour, materials, dressing of sides, leveling, grading and ramming of bottom, pumping & bailing out water accumulated due to rain and / or subsoil waters by any method including well point system if required and including disposal or stacking, leveling and neatly dressing as directed by Engineer-in-Charge, keeping of surplus excavated material within a lead of 500 M etc. including dismantling and providing temporary supports to existing service lines like water pipes, sewerage, electric cables, etc., including shoring/ strutting if required, all materials tools, tackles and labour all complete and as directed by Owner/Engineer-in-Charge for following depth

DISPOSAL OF SURPLUS EARTH: Carting away ( transporting and disposing ) of surplus earth,lime,moorum,rubbish,debris including refractory /insulation debris,shrubs and vegetations from construction area beyond the initial lead of 500M to anywhere including re-excavating the deposited soil excavated earlier, transportation, loading, unloading, laying at all depths and heights, stacking, levelling and dressing both the area (viz. from where the earth is transported and where it is deposited) to required levels and slopes complete with all lifts as per the direction of the Owner/ Engineer-in- Charge. For carting on the basis of truck measurements (Volume of truck reduced by 30% for voids). Note : Outing gate of Refinery shall be decided by NRL / EIC as per the site condition . The arrangement of necessary land for disposal is in the scope of the contractor & The cost should be inclusive of same. Including necessary approval from the local authorities for the dumping area.

Same as above with Transportation to any designated area within plant boundaries upto 500m

Same as above with Transportation to any demarked area or dumping area outside plant boundary, lead upto 2km from NREP gate.

Preparation of Sub Grade

Preparing and Compacting the already filled up or excavated land in preparation to construct Roads by compacting using a 10 ton power roller / vibro roller including dressing, watering, confirming to the cambers, etc in order to achieve 95% compaction as per specifications, drawings and as per the directions of Engineer-in-charge

Construction of Sub Grade

Earthwork in filling for subgrade and earthern shoulders with approved materials / earth brought from borrow pit including all lifts, transporting to site, all cost of all royalties / taxes etc for road work & spreading in layers of 200 mm compacted thickness, levelling and dressing the slopes, watering, rolling or tamping for achieving compaction of 95 % standard proctor density for soils, including the initial compaction of the cleared and stipped ground surface as per the specifications and as per directions of the Engineer in Charge, with lead upto 500m beyond the exit gate

Removal of unsuitable soil including

Removal of Unserviceable Soil with Disposal upto 1000 metres (Removal of unserviceable soil including excavation, loading and disposal upto 1000 metres lead but excluding replacement by suitable soil which shall be paid separately as per clause 305.)

Granular sub-base (150MM THK. for Drainage Layer)

Granular Sub-Base with Coarse Graded Material ( Table:- 400- 2) (Construction of granular sub-base by providing coarse graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with rotavator at OMC,and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density,complete as per cl. 401( with an initial lead of 5 Km.) (i) for grading- I Material

Base Course (225mm THK. Water Bound Macadam/Wet mix Macadam Base Course)

Wet Mix Macadam (Providing, laying, spreading and compacting graded stone aggregate to wet mix macadam specification including premixing the Material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant carriage of mixed Material by tipper to site, laying in uniform layers with paver in sb-base/base course on well prepared surface and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density (including carriage up to initial lead of 5.0 km from quarry and carriage of mixed materials up to 10.0 Km initial lead from mixing plant)

Primer Coat

Prime coat (A) Prime coat (Providing and applying primer coat with bitumen emulsion on prepared surface of granular Base including clearing of road surface and spraying primer at the rate of 0.60 kg/sqm using mechanical means.)( Including cost of testing of materials at site and laboratory as directed by the deptt.) (ii) With bitumen emulsion-CSS-1 ( IS-8887-2004 )

Bituminous Concrete (90mm THK)

Bituminous Concrete (Providing and laying bituminous concrete with 100-120 TPH batch type hot mix plant producing an average out put of 75 tonnes per hour using crushed aggregates of specified grading, pre mixed with bituminous binder @ 5.4 to 5.6 % of mix and filler, transporting the hot mix to work site, laying with a hydrostatic paver finisher with sensor control to the required grade, level and alignment, rolling with smooth wheeled, vibratory and tandem rollers to achieve the desired compaction as per MoRT&H specification clause No.509 complete in all respects) (including carriage upto initial lead of 5.0 km from quarry and carriage of mixed materials up to 10.0 Km initial lead from mixing plant ) ( Including cost of testing of materials at site and laboratory as directed by the deptt.) With hydrated lime / cement as filler (refer table 500-9 of MoRT&H specification) & anti stripping agent as per IS:14982 (Refer Appendix-5 of MoRT&H specification) (II) with Polymer modified bitumen 70 for Grading-I (19 mm nominal size )

Tack Coat

Tack coat Providing and applying tack coat with bitumen emulsion using emulsion pressure distributor at the rate of 0.20 kg per sqm on the prepared bituminous/granular surface cleaned with mechanical broom.( Including cost of testing of materials at site and laboratory as directed by the deptt.) (II)With Bitumen emulsion CSS-1 (IS:8887-2004) (a) Normal bituminous surface

Seal Coat

Close Graded Premix Surfacing/ Mixed Seal Surfacing (Mechanical means using HMP of appropriate capacity not less than 75 tonnes/hour. Providing, laying and rolling of close-graded premix surfacing material of 20 mm thickness composed of 11.2 mm to 0.09 mm (Type-A) or 13.2mm to 0.09mm (Type-B) aggregate using penetration grade bitumen (60/70 or VG-30 grade) to required line, grade and level to serve as wearing coarse on a previously prepared base, including mixing in a suitable plant laying and rolling with a smooth wheeled roller 8-10 T capacity to yhe reqd. level and grade. (Including carriage up to initial lead of 5.0 km from quarry and carriage of mixed materials up to 10.0 Km initial lead from mixing plant) (Including cost of testing of materials at site and laboratory as directed by the dept.) (b)With anti stripping agent as per IS:14982(Refer Appendix-5 of MoSRT&H specification) (ii) (Type-A)

Paver Block and Road Marking Works

Providing and laying of inter locking concrete block pavement (ICBP) with cement concrete paver blocks as per IS 15658-2006 of thickness 80mm and of specific 28 days compressive strength over a layer of bedding sand of compacted thickness 30mm, laid either in stretcher/ running/ herringbone pattern of bonds as directed by the engineer in charge and in proper level and grade and compacted with appropriate equipment such as plate vibrator along with spreading of a thin layer of joint filling sand to fill up the gaps between blocks including construction of edge restraint wherever required complete as per drawing and technical specification clause 1504 of MORD.

Providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5 mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm area, thickness of 2.5 mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads as per IRC:35 .The finished surface to be level, uniform and free from streaks and holes and conforming to the MoSrt&H specifications

Providing & fixing Factory made Kerb stone using M20 concrete grade including excavation and back filling, transporting, sticking, placing kerb in position, Joint filling with C.M 1:6 etc. complete. In case of embedding kerb stones in PCC, the same shall be paid under relevant item.

Retro reflectorised Traffic sign: Providing and erecting of Retro-Reflectrorised cautionary, mandatory & informatory sign as per IRC: 67 made of high intensity encapsulated lens type reflective sheeting vide clause 801.3, fixed over aluminium sheeting, 2 mm thick fixed on an angle iron of 25x25x4mm supported on a mild steel angle iron post 75mm x 75mm x 6mm firmly fixed to the ground by means of properly design foundation with M-15 grade Cement concrete 45cm x 45cm x 60cm, 60cm below ground level as per approved drawing and sign. Providing and laying in position ready mixed or site batched design mix cement concrete for reinforced cement concrete work; using coarse aggregate and fine aggregate derived from natural sources, Portland Pozzolana / Ordinary Portland /Portland Slag cement, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, to improve durability and workability without impairing strength; including pumping of concrete to site of laying, curing, carriage for all leads; but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement as per direction of the engineer-in-charge; for the following grades of concrete. Note: Extra cement up to 10% of the minimum specified cement content in design mix shall be payable separately. In case the cement content in design mix is more than 110% of the specified minimum cement content, the contractor shall have discretion to either re-design the mix or bear the cost of extra cement. All works upto plinth level- Concrete of M30 grade with minimum cement content of 350 kg /cum

Centering and shuttering including strutting, propping etc. and removal of form work for : Foundations, footings, bases for columns

Steel reinforcement for R.C.C. work including straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position and binding all complete upto plinth level - Thermo-Mechanically Treated bars of grade Fe-500D or more.

B. CIVIL WORKS

Earth work in excavation by mechanical means (Hydraulic excavator)/ manual means over areas (exceeding 30 cm in depth, 1.5 m in width as well as 10 sqm on plan) including getting out and disposal of excavated earth lead upto 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m, as directed by Engineer-in- charge. Filling available excavated earth (excluding rock) in trenches, plinth, sides of foundations etc. in layers not exceeding 20cm in depth, consolidating each deposited layer by ramming and watering, lead up to 50 m and lift upto 1.5 m.

Embankment Construction with Material Obtained from Borrow Pits (Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirment of table 300-2 ( including compensation of earth.)( Including cost of testing of materials at site and laboratory as directed by the deptt.) (a) from private land

Dry rubble Flooring, Construction of dry rubble flooring at cross drainage works for relatively less important works.

Water Bound Macadam (Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening/binding material to fillup the interstices of coarse aggregate,watering and compacting to the reqd. density ( with an initial lead of 5.0 km.) Providing and laying in position cement concrete of specified grade excluding the cost of centering and shuttering - All work up to plinth level : 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand (zone-III) derived from natural sources : 4 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size derived from natural sources)

Providing and laying in position ready mixed or site batched design mix cement concrete for plain cement concrete work; using coarse aggregate and fine aggregate derived from natural sources, Portland Pozzolana/Ordinary Portland /Portland Slag cement, admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS: 9103 to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, to improve durability and workability without impairing strength; including pumping of concrete to site of laying, curing, carriage for all leads; but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing as per direction of the engineer-in-charge; for the following grades of concrete. Note: Extra cement up to 10% of the minimum specified cement content in design mix shall be payable separately. In case the cement content in design mix is more than 110% of the minimum specified cement content, the contractor shall have discretion to either re-design the mix or bear the cost of extra cement. Note: Extra cement up to 10% of the minimum specified cement content in design mix shall be payable separately. Metal Beam Crash Barrier: A Type - A, "W" : Metal Beam Crash Barrier (Providing and erecting a "W" metal beam crash barrier comprising of 3 mm thick corrugated sheet metal beam rail, 70 cm above road/ground level, fixed on ISMC series channel vertical post, 150 x 75 x 5 mm spaced 2m center to center, 1.8 m high, 1.1m below ground/road level, all steel parts and fitments to be galvanized by hot dip process, all fitting to conform to IS:1367 and IS:1364, metal beam rail to be fixedon the vertical post with a spacer of channel section 150mmX75mmX5mm, 330mm long complete as per clause 810.)
