EPAIR/ MAINT OF JOINT FILLING, PAINTING ELASTOMERIC TREATMENT IN RUNWAY AT AF STN DARBHANGA UNDER GE (AF) BIHTA

M&L for preparing of existing construction joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out joints 15 to 20 mm wide and 25mm deep including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with air compressor and application of two coats of primer with thin brush by forward and backward movement at an interval of 30 minute before placing the backup rod and pouring the sealent and priming and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturer’s recommendation, polyurethane sealent conforming with BS-4254 and EN-141875-2003 (for hydrolysis/ water resistant ) with minimum movement accommodation factor + 30% with ten years performance guarantee and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealant and removing the same after sealant is applied complete all as specified and directed. Note: - Old unserviceable material so obtained from removing of existing filled up materials shall be disposed off out side of MoD land.

Note:- Old unserviceable material so obtained from removing of existing filled up materials shall be disposed offout side of MoD land.

M & L for cutting of existing Runway /Taxi tracks in V shape/rectangular/ square of appropriate size at cracks portion and at spalled edges by using joint cutting blade or other mechanical tools making groove at edges and joint cleaned throughly air blower/air blasting/cempressed air and applying proprietory primer on the cleaned surfaces to obtain tacked surfaces and finally filling ELASTOMERIC CONCRETE of make STP Chemicals/Choksey Chemicals/CIPY/BASF or equivalent as approved (prepared by mixing part A, part B and adding fiberglass sand all as per manufacturers instructions) and properly mixing in purpose made mixer plant electrically operated to obtain a homogenous mix and finally tooling the surface with hand tools to obtain a grooved textured finish complete all as specified and as directed. Note – (i) The rate quotated is inclusive of providng masking tape at joints and use and waste of form work as required at spalled edges and making good the disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (ii) The work shall be carried out tthrough authorised and qualified applicator of elastomeric concrete. (iii) Contractor shall submit manufacturers guarantee certificate to GE in this regard.

M&L applying one coat of runway/ road marking paint as lines, dashes, arrows, letters and the like exceeding 10cm width or girth in golden, yellow, or white colour as approved to uniform finish including preparation of old painted concrete surfaces of runway slab or taxi track or dispersal for painting complete all as specified and directed. Note :- Masking tape shall be used on edges of paint before painting and removing the same after paint is applied where ever required and as directed.

M&L De-siting of stormwater drain by cleaning of settled deposited soil/earth silt/mud etc n exc 15cm deep from the bed of drains including cleaning of shrubs vegetation grass etc what so ever therein, including getting out and removing excavated material and depositing same to a distance n exc 50m complete all as specified.

M&L Dressing of grass with soil from edge of runway/taxi track by kassi/khurpi etc and removing n.exc 50 mm and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5 m above the starting point complete all as spefified and directed
