EXTERNAL WATER SUPPLY
Providing and laying G.I. pipes of below class conforming to IS 1239: Part 1: 2004 (Reaffirmed 2010) and G.I. fittings conforming to IS 1239 : Part 2 : 2011 or IS 1879 :2010, both of approved make. Includes bends, elbows, tees, sockets, unions, reducers etc. and testing of joints etc all complete as per direction of Engineer in Charge.
Disinfecting water mains by flushing with water containing bleaching power at 0.5gm per litre of water and cleaning the same with fresh water. Operation to be repeated three times.
Protecting the underground G.I Pipes by anticorrosive wrapping as per IS 10221:1982 (Reaffirmed 2006) of approved make over one coat of red oxide zinc chromate primer, both of approved make. Includes the minimum thickness of 4 mm & overlapping distance of minimum 12mm.
