REPAIR TO PCC PLINTH, PATH, SIGN BOARDS, LINE MARKING, PAINTING ON RUNWAY AND DISPERSAL INCLUDING RUNWAY SHOULDERS FILLING IN TECH AREA AT AF STN GORAKHPUR

M&L for preparation of old painted concrete/bituminous surfaces with washing down with soap water of runway, taxi track for painting with cold-retro reflective paint including spreading of 500 micron size glass beads (350 gms / Sqm) byusing mechanical mode of application as lines, dashes, arrows, letters applying one coat of runway marking paint aqua based retroreflective type golden yellow, black, orange or white colour as approved bvy GE to give uniform finish complete all as specified and as directed. Note (i) Masking tape / steel / wooden frame or template should be used on edges of paints before painting work and removed the same after paint is applied where ever required and as directed by Engineer-inCharge. the contractor has to ensure that, the lines, dashes etc. marked with paint shall be in proper shape and finish as required. Any erroneous marking shall be make good by the contractor on his own cost and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (ii) Site shall be handed over based on flying operations. Contractor will be informed as soon as possible with a minimum 02 days notice period. The contractor shall accrodingly make arrangements for adequate labours and merial for completion of work.

M&L for preparation of existing concrete surfaces / plastered / unplastered surface of wall and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint in red and white with alternate square / rectangular panel in runway / link / dispersal / PQC / side wall area complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for preparation of old painted steel surface over 10 cm width or girth and applying one coat of synthetic enamel paint by using mechanised equipments complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for one coat of black synthatic enamel paint on three sides of DTGM (1.20 x 1.50 m) in background and pasting of new red coulour high intensity tetro reflective tape including removal of existing tape in numerical / alphabet letter (150mm wide and 1m high) in two sides complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for cutting of exisitng runway / taxi track at cracks and spalled edges with mechanical tools, cleaning through air blower and applying proprietry primer on cleaned surface to obtain tack and finally filling elastomeric concrete (prepared by mixing part A, Part B and adding fiber glass sand all as per manufacturer instructions) and proprietry mixing in purpose made mixer plant electrical operated) to obtain a homogeneous mix and finally tooling the surface with hand tools to obtain a grooved textured finish complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) The rate shall include for providing masking tape at joints and form work required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to include for making good the disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall onlyu be procured directly from manufacturer.

Supply and fix in repair visible retro reflective sign boards made from 3mm thic engineering grade plastic (acrylic sheet) having monolithic structurte to withstand temperature variation from cold environment to swetting hot conditions and to withstand high velocity winds, framed and braced with 50mm dia PVC pipe best quality to withstand high ground level with best quality structure including fixing of the same in existing post holes as required, including providing / applying weather resistance coating, providing and pasting of new numerals / alphabets with retro reflective tape cutting it as computer plooer etc. complete all as specified and directed.

Supply and fix in top board sheet of light signage board fixed on links / end of runway of area n. exc. 2.20 sqm. The board shall consisit of high glossy acrylic panel monolithic sheet 5mm thick with different colours (red / black / yellow / transparent) to meet requirement of lighted link sign board meeting the specifications of ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organisation). This item shall include opening of existing light signage board and replacing the faded top sheet of board with new four layered sign board and fixing the opened parts in its original place, complete all as specified and directed. Note (i) The letter/numbers shall be approved in designated design as per directions of Engineer-in-Charge. (ii) Rubber gasket fixed in board shall be changed if required as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (iii) Any part / component of sign board damaged during this work shall be replaced by contractor and nothing extra shall be paid on this account.

S&F in repaiur 20mm thick insulated toughened glass (5mm thick clear toughened glass and 5mm thick black toughened glass with 10mm spacing between the both glass filled with inert gas) and fixed with aluminium beading and rubber gasket of suitable size in aluminium frame work in ATC tower complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for rough excavation for obtaining approved earth from outside defence land, to a distance exc. 1.5 KM but not exceeding 5 KM as per requirement, bring out to site and deposited for forming embankment / filling berms / shoulder including spreading, levelling in layers not exceeding 30 cm thick, ramming with 8 to 10 tonne power roller including watering complete all as specified and directed. Note (i) To arrive finished quality for payment purpose, consolidated thickness shall be measured. (ii) Earth shall be free from foreign material i.e. grass, roots etc. (iii) The specified standard proctor density under optimum moisture conditions shall bne obtained and 5% duduction for bulkage shall be made.

Cutting of grass, bush, weeds / vegitation by using mechanical means like tractor with slasher and cutting 50mm to 100mm or above shasher where ever required including cokkecting the grass through mechanical tools like cultivator and removing material obtain from cutting / cleaning (both side) upto 100 mm from the concrete edge. Size of slasher attached with tractor be 5-6 feet, blade high carbon type rotary complete all as specified and directed. Note (i) Contractor will arrange his own mechanical slasher-02 Nos per day (set of one tractor and jungle jim) with POL & MT driver and 02 Nos bush cutter daily for grass cutting operations. (ii) The quoted rate by the contractor is including of all T&P, POL and operator as mentioned above. (iii) On requirement, contractor shall arrange more than one mechanical slasher and bush cutter per day as per order and T&P should not be more than 5 year vintage. Also T&P should be at par with Air Fore requirement, if not the same can be modified to meet the requirement of station.

Material and labour for cutting of grass, shurbs, vegetation, bush, weed by bush cutter operated slasher where ever required including cleaning the both sides / edges of runway / PTT removing of materials obtained from cutting to out side of MOD land complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note: - (i) The contractor shall arrange two numbers of bush cutter machine alongwith two operator and one helper for each bush cutter including POL etc. (ii) Site/area of grass cutting shall be handed over as and when on requirement basis. Contractor shall start the work immediatly whenever site is handed over to him. (iv) A log book shall be maintained by JE(Civil) and the same shall be signed by Engineer-in-Charge and contractor daily for the purpose of calculating daily working hours which shall be actual mode of payment.

S&F in repair chequered cement concrete tiles 20cmx20cmx25mm / 30cmx30cmx25mm with grey cement and pigment, set, jointed and pointed in neat cement slurry in floors over and including 15mm thick screed bed or bedding layer in CM 1:4 complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of cement concrete (unreinforced) in ground floors and paving not exceeding 15cm thickness (below or above ground level) complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for 150mm thick PCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate laid in alternate bays as floor, finished concrete urface with spike rolling or making impression of expanded metal shile concrete is green inclusing necessary formwork complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for providing PCC 1:4:8 type D-2 using 40mm graded stone aggregate in foundation filling and mass concrete complete all as specified and directed.
